Too bad he's pretty much the only compelling one in the series.
Except maybe WW Ganondorf but only just.
i think im gonna emulate majoras mask on pc rn.. wish hd version came out
Majora's mask was the villain, not Skull Kid, and Majora was just some spooky demon monster when you actually find him.
Pic related is the true perfect vidya villain.
Who the fuck was the friend Link was looking for???
The other fairy that got lost
this tbqh
Navi, she won the LinkBowl
What?
U gay if u pick anyone who isn't Zelda
Chaotic Evil does not make a good villain.
He and Yuuga might be the only great ones
...
>Majora was just some spooky demon monster when you actually find him.
The moon kid seemed to imply that it is more of a lonely kid that does shit for the lulz.
...
Chaotic evil makes the best villains.
Where my Shadowlord at?
for once in a "exi-" thread i agree, Skull Kid + Majora's mask is one of the most well put together villains in Zelda games.
i don't know but its something about the Mask and his design that just works.
oh man how i wish for a Zelda game that takes place after MM.. or you know, Skull kid in sma5h bros.
Yeah, but nearly everything bad that happens in MM is due to a combination of the both. Skull Kid's actions under the mask's influence.
Skull Kid liked pulling pranks, as shown by how he transformed Kafei into a kid and Link into a Deku but Majora made him take it too far by sealing the giants inside of monsters, stealing unborn babies, making winter last forever, making the dead rise and crashing the moon with no survivors.
Pucci and Valentine are better than DIO.
inb4kiracucks. Kira is fine but way too overrated, the same goes for the whole of part 4.
wrongu imageu OPu
Chaotic Evil corrupting a Chaotic Neutral character makes an interesting villian.
>DUDE IM ALONE AND HAVE NO FRIENDS IM GOING TO VENT MY ANGER AND FRUSTRATION OUT IN DESTRUCTIVE WAYS THAT NEGATIVELY IMPACT PEOPLE WHO DID NOTHING WRONG TO ME LMAO
This qualifies as a "good villain" by zeldafag standards.
...
This dude
>villain
>"I have no idea what i'm talking about"
He is not perfect but Majora/Skull Kid are pretty great villains
>stealing unborn babies
what
I'm not gay or anything, but Link is the cutest person in this pic.
this fucking dude
Well, he didn't do it directly but he told the pirates to steal Lulu's eggs
So intelligent and nihilistic Miyamoto fucked up all future games because he knew nothing could compete.
>picks worst villain in zelda as an example
Majora was a generic doomsday villain. Shame on you to pick that piece of shit when there are far better villains in the series
>not solidus snake
Thats a stretch if ive seen one
t. someone who never played the game
>A kid that was infected by an evil mask
>Has no good reason for destroying the world, but does it anyway
Right, good villain.
Majora is one of the worst bad guys in zelda. Only emo faggots could possibly like it.
>Skull kid/majora are chaotic for the sake of chaos
>10/10 best villain
>Ganondorf is evil for the sake of evil
>Wtf this is shit nintendo at least try
I have played it, your game theory-tier speculations don't make a crap villain good. All Majora wanted to do was drop a moon on the earth for no reason.
>not hilda
Fuck off
Majora itself was far more interesting than the Skull Kid, and that's only because it's some ancient literally who abomination that has nothing to do with Ganondorf and wants to outright destroy the world instead of taking it over.
Majoras Mask was a mistake
Then you must be really slow to get the message behind Majora-Skull kid fusion.
No game theorie bullshit here, just obvious things.
Favorite villains thread? Kaybliss is pretty good.
>Has no good reason for destroying the world
Actually he does. He was friends with the giants hence why he's making the moon fall, so that they can come back to one single place again like the old times. Skull Kid is basically an attention whore gone bad, Majora's Mask is a playful incarnation of evil, it actually behaves like a mischeavous kid at some point.
I wouldn't say either of them is the perfect villain though.
Skull kid doesn't count as a villain as he was a whiny emo that got possessed by a mask. Majora was a shit villain from an equally shit game.
Name 3 better zelda baddies.
And they have to be bad, no I AM EVIL!!!
Skull kid isn't a villain and Majora counts as evil. Stop moving goalposts
1. Hilda
2. WW ganondorf
3. Tingle
Ok.
That's your opinion.
>It was ganondorf all along!
I was mad
>He wouldn't choose Ruto.
Link himself is the best one though.
At least it set the bar low for future zelda villains, we haven't had any as bad as zant, majora or bellum for a while
At least hyrule warriors showed he was a nut job right from his introduction
Was Bellum the train or the forgettable PH one?
For anyone who hasn't yet, check out this little CG intro video for the mask and the imp.
Perfectly captures the tone of the game in my opinion.
He said villains
Not the hero
PH I think
Majora didn't take over him, just gave him god powers. Thus is why he brought down the moon.
Hes an kokiri that got lost in the lost woods, no one likes him except for the fairies. I think he counts as a bad guy
>majora
Majora had a shitty fight but it wasn't a shit villain. Bellum and Zant though... Well, Zant wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for all that wasted potential, Bellum is shit tho.
No thanks
>We ganon
1 line of dialogue doesn't make a good villain
It raises a bad one up to mediocre
I love how all of these are great villains for the most different reasons.
>emo-tier characters count as villains
Next you'll be telling be shadow the hedgehog is a good baddie too
Too much focus on the Happy Mask Salesman, Skull Kid was 10/10 though
This. MM is for guys that wear mascara and work at Starbucks.
Ganondorf did better with 1 line than skull kid and majora did with their lines combined
the legend never dies
>Le ganon should be the final boss of every zelda opinion incoming
>Was an edgy eyeliner wearing fuck in high school
>MM is my favorite game
>That stupid mouth covering
>Mask Salesman passing out instead of the Skull Kid knocking him out
>Fairies being jelly blobs
Would have been perfect but they had to fuck it up somehow.
t. somebody who never played the game
Skull kid had a full story arc not just "I'm bad but I was angry for a reason, feel bad for me"
i would prefer if fairies were sphere of light but ok
Link's awakening is an example of a good zelda without Ganon. MM is an example of a shit zelda without him.
The CG is amazing but tonally it's too over the top for Majora's Mask.
For a fan video though it's amazing.
Did you break your leg jumping to conclusions that hard?
Checks out, doesn't it? Not saying MM was the worst game ever made, it isn't. But the best? It was leftover carnival games that got cut from OoT and used all the recycled NPCs. If internet was more widespread it would have been a mask collecting DLC. It is al had the fewer dungeons than Zeldas made on Gameboys and they all sucked, but one. Boss fight was shit, too.
A lot of the game revolves around dealing with loss and growing up. It's fitting that game's villain is an immature kid who throws a tantrum after his friends leave him.
Nope just used my handy mat
Don't forget that it had the worst dungeons too!
>inb4 stone tower temple
A mediocre dungeon doesn't make up for the shitty ones
The mouth covering was basically fancanon to explain in-universe how come Skull kid had a beak while the others just have big lips
>villain
>immature kid
Nice try
Let me guess, its because its 3d?
...
What now
But Skull Kid had big lips too.
Having a beak was just censorship because it looked racist.
Him and Fontaine
Nope, because Link's awakening had a decent story, good dungeons, great overworld and a villain with a comprehensible motive; things MM lacks.
They actually retconned it with OoT3D.
Skull kid there has a beak.
At least the one you give the mask to does; not sure about all of them.
I always thought the idea of the Skull Kid knocking out the Mask Salesman was a little strange to begin with. I could see him being a mischievous little jerk but knocking some rando out? Granted it could have been the influence of the mask to begin with. I liked that fan short depicted the Skull Kid as this innocent whimsical forest child.
A bratty child does not a good villain make
Actual god tier villian.
>great overworld
>and a villain with a comprehensible motive
No it didn't.
I know, that's why i specified in-universe
ABANDON
But only when done right. Op is an example of one that got it wrong
...
I disagree. Majora was the puppet master, but it needed a host. It manipulated Skull Kid into using its powers.
Navi, the fairy from OoT.
