it honestly gets old fast

once you have most of the weapons, theres very little incentive to play anymore. ive seen enough golden darkness for three lifetimes.

It's best played co-op though. I thought it was getting old but then they wheel out new enemies right when you start getting bored and then introduce new vehicles and challenges. If you only play the ant missions I agree it gets tedious.

eh. inferno gets old quick too since my game bugs out whenever i try to do multi so im stuck doing it solo/splitscreen. id likely play it more if i didnt sieze up for whatever reason in the multiplayer menus since chanting is fun as hell.

That's odd, I played on PS4 and PC and never had any issues. I've heard it has issues with certain graphics cards though, Steam has threads on it.

yeah, no idea what causes it. but to be fair i havent played in months. doubt any patches have come out however. i swear it seems tied to the chat menu and the inventory screen. air raider was my shit calling down attack whales on everything and using giant robot was fun as hell.

I avoided Air Raider because the game said he was a support role, and then one day I played him and he's fucking rad. The later game artillery can level the entire city and its glorious to behold. I still can't into fencer though.

My main is Waifu Diver, then Air Raider, then Ranger, then Fencer.

air raider>fencer>wing diver>ranger for me. calling down strikes is the best, going fast with dash canceling is next best. never got into wing diver too much because its just spamming idunns all day and being less fast than a fencer. and ranger is just terrible outside of starship troopers role play.

Fencer becomes significantly better once you learn to dash cancel, so you can move around decently quickly.
Generally, fencers have two main modes of attack. One is to attack long range with a shitstorm of artillery and occasionally missiles.

The other is to get in close with a fucking 200m long pile driver spear. Mastering fencer is fun as fuck, because you get to fight melee when you're not being a mobile cannon.

I know how to dash cancel I just never god good with his aim because it's slow and slippery. I haven't played him more than maybe two missions though. I imagine he's good in tunnels and against robits tho.

THE EDF DEPLOYS

Fencer is good for sustained heavy fire, so the miniguns and shotguns are excellent for tunnels until you run out of ammo. That's why you bring a melee weapon for backup.
His sniper rifle equivalent is a fuckoff giant cannon that deals heavy damage, and he also has mortars for area denial. Fast aiming is rarely an issue with Fencer; granted my go-to tactic for his guns is to stand a fair distance away and just magdump into a crowd.
Additionally, most of the Fencer's weapons can be used alongside a shield, which itself can be used to reflect most ranged attacks.

The only enemy type I have trouble with as Fencer is drones, since his missiles have a slower lock-on speed.

Can't even effectively dash around and spear them from the ground because their fucking lasers stun you

Finally got back to playing this after my first run through on Normal as a Ranger. I got my mitts on a decent missle launcher by running Crash on Inferno and now I'm farming Crimson on Hard for basic bitch weapons and armor.

Anyone have any hot strats to help me expedite the process?

Every group needs at least one person playing Air Raider.

use split screen if possible with you controlling a wing diver for the OP weapons and just pick things up with p2 as the class you are farming for. or get the DLC "time of the mutants" for golden darkness.

You know as flashy and cool the Air Raider, Wing Diver and Fencer are, the simple Ranger with a rocket launcher and assault rifle can still get the job done and get it done well.

I am of the belief that a person's first playthrough should be as a Ranger. How else can you appreciate the cool shit that the other classes bring?
