I've never played Okami but it looks real cool.
Tell me about it.

It's a lot like Zelda, except 50% of the game is dialogue.
It's great, but it's a bit too easy. Don't expect a challenge - look forward to a charming and good looking game.
Very straightforward, very easy, but it's very pretty so people like it.
I'd don't have any of the old consoles to play it on though.
Wish they had a version on steam.
I guess I could always emulate.
Which version is best?
>Which version is best?
The HD version on PS3... dunno if it's available on ps4.
it's the best zelda game there is.
One of the best games I've ever played.
Go play the PS3 version and platinum it, you won't regret it.
If they were to re-release it on PS4 i'd probably replay it right on the spot.
What does platinum it mean?
I don't have a ps3 ;_;
I have a wii but it's buried deep somewhere in my storage room.
It's basically a very Japanese Legend of Zelda in terms of game design. Gameplay is nothing groundbreaking, but the ink brush is an interesting mechanic and it's fun to have Nippon adventures.
The biggest draw is probably the visual style. Everything is designed to look like a painting, so the scenery generally ends up looking very pretty.
Bonus points because it lets you play as a dog.
Anyone play Okami Den on the DS? is it good or just a shitty cash grab?
it means get all the ebin achievements made by people who didn't work on the game in an attempt incentivize the masses to play games for reasons beyond the joy of simply playing the game.
Is the ps2 version good too?
Emulated Wii > PS3 > Emulated PS2 > WII > PS2
Yes. All versions are good in their own way.
How does emulated wii work? How do you connect controllers?
I dunno desu but you can. You can also use your mouse to draw.
Combat is shallow as fuck and combat moves only enabled when enemies are around.
During combat you are locked in a small arena and cannot get out.
Only major issue of the Wii version is that they cut out the ending credits movie due to filesize constraints.
Also, IGN.
>biggest draw
You're pretty good
Youtube exists and both endings are ok.
Its got really good music.

Its Wind Waker tier easy
Boss battles are insultingly easy
Puzzles are slightly easier than Wind Waker's
Boss mechanics are ripped off from wind waker
Story is about a goddess reincarnated as a wolf and has to fight the evil lord of darkness so basically wind waker
Awesome! I love Wind Waker.
It's incredibly similar to zelda sky sword on the wii. That is, it's pretty average and has no voice acting
>Story is about a goddess reincarnated as a wolf and has to fight the evil lord of darkness so basically wind waker
No Zelda has voice acting.
No Nintendo game has any voice acting except for like Mario Sunshine.
It's an easy but very pretty Zelda with a great art style and enjoyable story.
Also has terrible fucking pacing.
okay, so youre a god
but youre also a dog
...
PS3 version is supposed to look the best.
I only have it on PS2.
Yeah, its also got the whole world engulfed in darkness that you have to un-darkify with some kind of fruit just like in wind waker.
SotC beats it, but SotC might be too sublime to count as a Zelda game.
Okami certainly has enough cutscenes and repetition to be a Zelda game.
SotC isn't a fucking Zelda game. There's no dungeons or items to acquire that let you open up exploration in the overworld. Puzzles are good but they're incorporated into fighting the colossi which is where the only real gameplay is.
It's still one of my favorite games, but it isn't a Zelda.
Wii version on emulator looks better.
wolf ass
its easy, tells an excellent story. you ever get to a point in the game where you thought you were at the final boss, but that wasn't it? it does that twice. also has the best entire world prays for the hero during the final boss scenes in gaming
game is absolutely gorgeous in its artstyle. music is top notch. top 5 PS2 games for sure
Great game, but you should have already played it at this point since it was on a humble bundle
The comparisons to Zelda are mostly justified as it's similar in the way the overworld and dungeon progresses but less bullshit equipment/items and more drawing powers.
Honestly it's one of the few games I could say is a 10/10 and must play
comparing it to zelda is an insult to zelda. its more like dark souls but just puzzle boss fights
An incredibly pretty and touching game with one of the greatest OSTs of all time.

It's good. Play Okami as soon as you can.
a long fun adventure
Hence why I said, "SotC might be too sublime to count as a Zelda game." If you can't see the heavy Zelda influences in there then you've been playing too many of those shoddy 3D Zelda games.
>considering SotC worse than the Zelda franchise
>comparing SotC to Dark Souls
Wew, neo/v/, please.
Shadow of the Colossus is a puzzle-platformer. There's no comparison to Zelda aside from the weapons Wander uses.
You puzzle and platform in Zelda.
Dark souls?
Please explain?
