sure, 4k blu ray might not take off since its not as big of a jump from blu ray to 4k as vhs to dvd, but the 4k blu ray player is the reason i got a xbox one s on cyber monday. shows up thursday and im looking forward to having a next gen console. i'll still buy a ps4 for day one spiderman fuck you im an impatient spidey nerd. im sure it will come to xpox and pc later the console war rages on and i continue to be entertained. if xbox can put halo on pc and make pc crossplay/buy better, they might recover since i know ps4 is dominating.

disposable income. i dont even have a regular bluray player. i miss my friends that i left when they all got xbox one day one. i wont have to buy the ps4 for at least half a year, and even then i just want entry level, not slim or pseudo 4k, so im sure that will be less than 200, plus 60 for spoderman. im glad youre worried about my finances user, but im doing ok :)

Oh not at all. I could drop 4k on a gaming PC tomorrow if I wanted to, I'm just surprised that people are buying Xbox S game consoles for blurray media and not its exclusive games since I assume you have a PC already for those?

While I think it's a bit disingenuous to dismiss the PS2's success for its DVD support like all Nintendofags and Segafags do, you do have to admit that it did help push the system, especially considering the format single-handedly killed off VHS and Laserdisc in one stroke.

No they Weren't. The cheapest DVD player in 2000 was made by Apex and cost $170. Actual brands cost almost as much and more than a PS2. If wasn't until 2002 that they were $100 and this was only for cheap no-name brand players like Apex. These same players only sold for less that year as refurbished or on Black Friday and known brands wouldn't be $100 for a while:

yup, my pc is decent. ive been playing triple a games less and less, but if i wanted gears 4, i would have gotten it on pc. same with halo wars 2 and halo 6 should they get crossplay. my computer is good, but if the game is unoptimized on pc, im gonna need a console, so i guess its a contingency plan. also, i might be turning into a videophile, so ive been looking for a bluray machine. since its the same price as a 4k bluray player, i might as well buy the xbox one s and get a game machine for free

i dont think i in anyway reflect the majority of the game consumer market

also it comes with a controller i can use on pc.
