how is that even possible?
rng, you winning is decided by how competent your team is and who you're matched with. Skill in overwatch doesn't exist
Sure it is
Pretty much
I'm always matched with new players at level 30 and under, versing a full team of 100-200+. No matter how good you are, it's borderline impossible to single-handedly carry a team, unless the team you're versing is equally shit.
>Place 972 in OW
>used to play in Cal-I/cal-p back in 1.6 days
>literally outplaying hackers in 1.6
i guess im wrong then.
proof that Sup Forums sucks at video games
hahahahahahahaha
Sup Forums in charge of fps gaming
Proof that you're a stupid faggot
I am literally not wrong.
I could be playing well and have a bad team and lose. I could have a whole team that is amazing and I could be complete shit and make them lose.
It is literally all rng and depends what the matchmaking pairs you up with
Some people actually believe this.
It isn't when you play the game like it's intended, with friends
Alternatively you could git gud
t. top 500 solo
True. But at this level you should carry. Nigger I wish I was on so I could give you a carry and you see you need to git gud.
salty you suck so hard?
ggez
>t. top 500 solo
all that means is you got a real lucky streak playing with people who aren't bad
>I was in Cal! I coulda been something!
You know I'm not saying that everyone I've met that's claimed to be in Cal has a superiority complex
But I am saying everyone I've met that's had a superiority complex also played in Cal
3003
This is true but people typically end up in Plat.
I already uninstalled this piece of shit but if you are lower then Gold then you have no one to blame but yourself.
>I can pub stomp like a faggot why can't you?
Because thats boring as fuck and a lot of us make friends with shitters.
Nerf D.VA
>Blizzard in charge of matchmaking
The answer is to play a better game from a competent company.
Solo'd both Season 1 and Season 2 in Overwatch
[W/L]
S1: 5/5 - R53 and ended at 64 when I learned about the last minute CP points
S2: 4/6 - ~2610 so not far off from barely plat but even then with more than 50% loss
While your team can contribute a lot to your final scoring the amount of work you put in per game always seems to affect your overall competitive ranking, seen people worse off then me still hit Platinum so at this point this is more your own skill problem than RNG cause sub 1000 in OW? You either had to try and get that or well sorry user, youre just that bad
>waaaa I'm bad at the game please listen to me
>the problem is me if my teammate refuses to cooperate, refuses to use a microphone, and refuses to switch characters if they keep dying
Forget about medals, these ^^^^ are the most important factors to winning. Also learning how to aim is a good start too.
how long is an average comp match in overwatch? I'm bout to knock THEM ALL OUTTTTTTTTTTT
>have 4 gold medals
>lose
>told its my fault
>"medals don't mean anything"
>tfw I wanna get into competitively but I'm in the last three weeks of the semester and can't play vidya
Also fuck Sup Forums for having that eyesore of a banner
Medals shouldn't be used to indicate how good you are, but how shit everyone else is. If you have 4 golds you weren't carrying, your team wasn't doing anything.
The game I just finished I was playing as D.Va I finished with 76 Eliminations, 51 Objective kills, 6:30 objective time and over 12,000 damage, all gold in everything and some fucker on the team said he'd have those medals if he wasn't stuck playing Lucio and then said medals don't mean anything. Sure medals aren't anything but if you carried like I just did you can't place any blame on me for your in game woes which he was trying to do all game
So it's time to climb up to your true rank, right?
inb4 elohell excuse
Medals aren't a good indicator of performance but if you have 4 golds it does indicate that the team probably sucked.
I lost 7/9 placements and still placed at 2982.
Winning does help with your rank, i wont argue that at all but we're talking about a game where the medals alone can save you from dropping Sub-2000 alone even on a shitty streak when it comes to placement, even most people who have posted on Sup Forums with 7 losses and 3 wins have placed in the average ranks of High Gold/Low Plat in competitive play.
To say it was your team/rng that caused you to get a rank that is beaten out by most of the OW Competitive community [99% if you want to go off Master Overwatch] is just you not accepting that some of the problem lies within you as well. Bad teams can lead to bad ranks on the start of a placement but sub-1000? Now thats just a mixture of bad teams and lack of skill.
This guy is right, it is completely random unless you play with friends
Maybe if you're a Mercy/Lucio main.
If you're good with aiming then you can carry enough so that your games won't go 50/50
>it is LITERALLY not my fault in any way
>the team I had was just shit and the enemy was too good
>its ALL up to luck because I can't influence my own rank is my way since that is Bizzard's job
>I am good at the game despite being Gold but I cannot climb due to bad matchmaking
People actually believe this? No, it's not. Solo queue is one of the best ways to climb and in placements, it only takes your performance into account; not your win/loss.
>Friend goes 0-10, 27XX
>I go 3-7, 27XX
I was 3871 solo on my main account playing Zen/Rein, and I also boosted my 2100 friend's account to 3540 playing Ana/Roadhog. And my 2nd friend's account to 3200 (didnt finish).
Literally git gud you piece of SHIT
