Ludwig's Holy Blade
Ludwigs meme blade or the Blood katana thing that does retarded damage.
The Chikage requires a specific build that only really works with that specific weapon, and it only does damage while it drains your health.
It is crazy stupid strong though.
Hunter's Axe
>DS2 - Black Knight Halberd
I didn't think it was that great, it used up too much stamina.
Meme's meme blade
I've been running blades of mercy for a while and it's pretty good at stunlocking most enemies and a couple bosses (beat micolash first try in like 3 minutes without getting hit). I even caught a few invaders off guard with that high damage roll lunge.
The true meme blade in Demon's Souls was the Blue Blood Sword
Black Knight Halberd is quite strong, yes, but it actually requires you to position yourself properly or you only do half damage.
DS3's meme weapon is the dark sword.
We're all memes now.
The mirdan hammer regen build was the best. Get out.
Why is the Drake Sword there? If the list's about weapons that memed on for overexposure (while still being a good weapon) shouldn't DaS1's be Balder's Side Sword?
>DeS - Estoc
>DS1 - Moonblade Sword
>DS2 - Dual Old whip
>DS3 - Anri's Straight Sword
>BB - Lubwig's Holy Blade
fixed
you know nothing of bloodborne?
Ludwig's Holy Blade was the meme weapon
But so are the Axe, Pizza Cutter, Evelyn and the Chikage
Whole game is a meme game if you ask me
Holy Blade or Hunter Axe. Both the casual's way of saying "I beat the game"
Simons Bowblade compliments the same build I thought.
Did he claim otherwise? Yes, BLT works for both weapons.
Shitters wont bother with builds, that are pretty much useless for the first half of the game is what he's saying.
> DeS
> Dragon Bone Smasher
> DaS1
> Drake Sword
What exactly is your definition of a scrub weapon? Because these are polar opposites.
Drake Sword is a meme because it's a trap for guide-reading noobs. Sure it's double the damage of anything else you find at that point, but it has no scaling and requires an extremly rare resource to upgrade. Meaning you are actually gimping yourself if you use it because 5mins after its first avalible you can upgrade any normal weapon to +5 for comparable damage and usually with better movesets and weight. Drake Sword is famous because it fucking sucks, but it initially looks great.
Dragon Bone Smasher is the opposite, it's not an early game weapon, and it's not a noob trap. It's after Flamelurker who many consider the hardest boss in the game, and requires pure what world tendency, which is missible if you fuck up more than 3 times in human form. And it has very good scaling. Nothing like Drake Sword at all.
If we are talking about weapons that attract shitters who don't understand game mechanics Drake Sword is the winner. If we are talking about weapons that make the game a cakewalk because they are actually good, then DaS1 Black Knight Halbard is the winner for that game. And I'd argue Meat Cleaver over DBS in DeS as well, the hyperarmour on that thing was insane and it had quick, reliable garunteed pancake moves.
The Bone Smacher is an "I-win" button for the rest of the game though. And everyone and their mom used it.
Yea. Read his post again.
it was just the wording, the other guy said
>The Chikage requires a specific build that only really works with that specific weapon
> DS3
> Darkwraith sword
fixed
overread the 2nd "specific"
this
>3-shotting Maneaters
Can you blame them?
> STR build
> Dragon Bone Smasher
> Curse Weapon
> Clever Rat Ring
> Morrion Blade off-hand
Good times.
Absolutely not. Love that thing.
DS2 meme weapon is santier's spear are you fucking kidding me? How has no one mentioned this
>40str/dex/20fth
>cleaver
>indentical rest
devastation guaranteed
I agree with your statement.
If anything the 'meme weapon' of Demon's Souls was the Royalty class, as that's what everybody recommended as the easiest start.
Royalty is as close as I'll get to playing a King's Field prince.
Hunter's axe
It's either someone who wants to do a STR run or most likely a scrub reading a guide
Why is everyone saying Chikage for Bloodborne?
It's a decent weapon only made meme-status because it's possible to slot three 31.5% Blood Attack up gems in it (compared to 27.2% most physical weapons use) and has an easily exploitable attack with a 1.4x modifer. These gems take Litterally weeks to farm though, because for 2/3 of them you are going for a 1% chance for an offshape, of which only 33% are the correct shape, from an enemy who drops gems 25% of the time, 50% are the kind you want, and the best % value only happens 33% of the time, then you have to worry about curses, 3/6 of which are unusable.
That's a 0.068% chance to drop. And you need two of them. Chikage is a meme because if you get one-shot by it in PVP, you can take solace knowing the person who did it has no life whatsoever and likely killed the same Fatty with a shotgun 1000s of times.
The noob friendly weapon which is nearly as bad (actually worse if it's high level) endgame is a Saw Cleaver/Saw Spear. At base stats they outclass everything, and at 50/50 they are a nigh garunteed win in PVP.
Dragon bone smasher needs world tendency though. How can it be a meme weapon when half of people won't even find it?
Is Ludwig's concerned a meme since its essentially the zweihander? I've heard praise for the kirkhammer which is pretty much the only other available weapon early besides the starters, and it has a very similar easypeasy R1 combo.
Why does everyone hate on Ludwig's Holy Blade?
;_;
The Drake Sword is the only weapon in that list that becomes unusable less than halfway through the game.
I picked the axe in my first run just because I like axes. Axes have generally been pretty bad weapons in the Souls series so I was surprised the axe was so good. I just was disappointed that there was no greataxe type of weapon and didn't much care for the polearm halberd mode of the axe. They have two greatswords in the game now, a great hammer, but no greataxe.
You guys are kidding right? Obviously Bloodborne's meme weapon is rifle spear or bone-ash cannon. DeS would be scraping spear, DaS would be BASS CANNON, DS2 I'd say Crypt UGS, and DS3's I believe is washing pole.
wh-what's a meme weapon big bros?
drop your panties and bend over, and i'll show you ;^)
They just don't understand user.
To have a sword that becomes a bigger sword is the thinking mans weapon!
>a sword that turns into a hammer
>a sword that turns into a bigger sword
what will they think of next
Meme weapon is for noobs basically, turns game into easy mode
>DeS meme weapon
>not this
Did you even play it when it came out?
2kat is only for pvp
How bout a sword that turns into a crossbow that shoots smaller swords
What was the advantage of duel-wielding katanas? I got into Demon's Souls after the online had died and never experienced it.
I'm doing a no-guide blind offline run of Bloodborne. Can someone tell me what's so bad about the Ludwig Blade?
I don't understand, why is holy blade considered a meme weapon?
What is even the meaning of a meme weapon?
You could stunlock by doing the regular r1 attack followed by a forward+L1 push/guard break thing and just repeating it over and over until you either run out of stamina or the other guy is dead. Since there was no poise it was devastating to get hit by it even once.
I ran with Blue Blood because it looked cool. Was it popular back in the day? I never bothered with online in DeS.
Nothing? It's a sword that turns into a big sword and does good damage.
>dbs
actually an awesome weapon not that easy to use
>drake sword
terribly shit past level 30
>ds2 black knight halberd
nigga what?
>ds3 uchi
confirmed never playing ds3
using the "push" (forward and attack) allows you to combo into an r1 from the other sword. So you'd hit with one attack, push, attack with other weapon.
same logic apply for most of the weapons in the game.
>A cleaver that turns into a longer cleaver
>a spear that turns into a spear with a gun
>a scythe that turns into a bigger scythe
>A sword that turns into two swords
what is your point?
DeS: Northern Regalia
DaS: Buffed Falchion
DaS2: Buffed MLGS
DaS3: Carthus Curved Sword w/ Carthus Rouge
Nothing is bad about it, it's one of the best weapons in the game and accessible early in the game which makes it the most popular weapon in the game, especially for first timers. The only thing that could be considered bad about it is it might make the game too easy (I would argue against even this since the starter weapons are among the best weapons in the game too) or it'll keep you from trying other weapons but I think most people will stick to only 1 or 2 weapons their first time regardless of what they find. My main weapons were saw cleaver and LHB and I used saw cleaver much more anyway, it's just way faster and doesn't do that much less damage, plus the serration damage is a neat bonus.
literally none of these were popular except ludwig's meme blade
Have you actually played any of those fucking games? For a start, DS2 should be Santiers spear and DS3 should be the dark sword
