What went wrong Sup Forums?

I got frozen and shot in the eye with an ice dildo.

Nothing.

No private servers

>Half the heroes are just frustrating to play against
>Classic Blizzard balancing
>Content rolls out slow as shit
>Shit like infinite ammo and no costs to using abilities (mana or whatnot) dilutes the need for strategy
>No custom games when this feature alone has given Warcraft III longevity from its release until now 14 years later

Saved.

Ultimates.
Awful map design (or effective map design with shitty design goals).

Business wise? Not much. Purchasable loot boxes in a game you had to pay for is probably raking in loads of dosh for Blizzard. Tying in a few seasonal skins every month or so will just boost sales.

Sadly the game is shallow and the competitive level is filled with proven aim bots and cheats.

>Business wise?
Every. Fucking. Time.

Nothing, it's super fun and very well made.

You mean what went right? And what went right is Sup Forums being so absolutely ass blasted on how successful this game was and will continue to be. One reason I love OW threads.

Lack of a scoreboard. There's so much dunning Kruger in this video game.

>Content rolls out slow
>No custom games
have you actually played the game user?

Whaaaaaaat? People cheat in an online video game? Get out of town!

I have for over 300 hours and he is correct.
He means actual custom games like the ability to mod not a shitty lobby where you can barely change anything about the game.

The maps are terrible. I realize it's their first FPS but goddamn.

2cp

low individual skill ceiling

Scoreboards punish people doing objectives and teamplay though.

Meta fags.

Game being a League of Legends in first person instead of an actual class based FPS, that's what went wrong.

Theres already a metric for objective time. They would just need to define an actual assist metric instead of the current elimination metric.

I love this pic so much but I fucking hate the animu eyes. Why the fuck couldn't they just draw it how it is, its already in a cartoony style so what the fuck.

If it was drawn in real OW art style I'd probably frame this in my house.

>finite ammo
>Overwatch

You know this wouldn't help anything at all, seriously why would you even suggest such a stupid fucking thing.

Care to elaborate?

Lack of content, especially levels, and what they have got already are not inspiring or memorable in any form.

Incompetence in terms of character balance is an ongoing problem for them too. The game has returned to an unplayable state after the last patch and Blizzard are historically incredibly slow when it comes to unfucking their shit. I am convinced that the development team do not play the game they are working on otherwise the mistakes they make would be easily avoided.

...

I feel it was done on purpose though because without bottlenecks it would be extremely hard to hold off the other team sometimes.

I know thats probably not a good design, but the way the characters are the bottlenecks kind of make sense some times.

there's also shit like the mansion on volskaya that serves no purpose other than to house a health pack that nobody ever uses

eh, its fun for a short while but gets old quick. Probably because its a hero based game that doesn't have all that many heros and forces people into using the same team composition over and over.

gay retards started this "maining" meme so nobody tries to run a good team comp.

blizzard

man, \V\ sure is bootyblasted when it comes to successful games they don't like

Yeah that sounds retarded.

>Sup Forums

Are you trying to trigger us?

No, I think it was very bad bait.

Blizzard being slow at releasing content despite putting all of the company on this game

>Sup Forums
I clearly typed \V\
get you're shit strait

It's just a mindless game. That's really it. Not sure how to adequately explain it, but Overwatch is just a "game", in the game sense of mindless fun and flashy shit on screen. You don't have to think about anything to play it really. Just mash buttons and have fun is what it is which makes it very strange they're pushing the esports angle on it so much. The problem with this "fun" "game" aspect of it also means it's not very rewarding for people who like challenge, it's very much a grinding game. I doubt the game will ever become a big thing in esports, but Blizzard will still make bank on it thanks to crates. So as long as they update the game with skins etc. they will make a good profit.

I didn't even notice, thats how triggered I was becoming. Please stop.

Yeah, I don't think we're playing the same game. You don't get very far just "mashing buttons".

Seriously that was a retarded thing to say, is the game kind of casual in that its easy to play but hard to master, yeah in some respects, but you can't act like there isn't strategy involved.
