i just started a few days ago and enjoying it so far. its fast-paced, nice aesthetics with some beautiful parts and slaying enemies is super fun
its a bit confusing though

Try playing 1v1 and 3v3, it helps you learn the fundamentals very quickly, I've noticed a great improvement in my competitive play sessions after grinding 1v1s for a couple hours each day,

ive wasted thousands of hours playing css then later csgo. i know the basics of fps but the game design of many health packs on the map, constant 2 healers healing and low-demage makes it annoying for me. i really enjoyed in the past 2 months but got bored of it
wish i could enjoy, i might try it again

Grinding for chances to grind for things that make something to grind with to obtain more grinding materials to get a thing to grind as a result, to sell to other people for currency for cosmetics that do nothing but make you look like a patchwork doll, whilst you piss people off for grinding ineffectively,and lets you buying things you grind for, to grind out earlier

There is grind, but not that much. As much as YOU let it. If you start and play EVERY mission once, you could finish the game without a problem.

every multiplayer game is just a "grind". MOBAs and RTS are the main example. some games like csgo gives you more opportunities just to fuck around, TF2 even more.

because eventually you'll see fags with crazy mods/weapons/frames and realize the amount of work required to reach a similar loadout. Honestly way too many people try to rush and get the absolute best of the best gear when it really isnt needed, I spent the first year of my in game time with half leveled mods and non-meta frames and easily held my own in 2 hour survival missions (enemy armor scaling is a problem the game has but it is getting better)

Essentially. I have never played Bayonetta, but I hear this is pretty much a reskin of those games.

I think I'll skip transformers in that case.

On the contrary, my roommate tried Overwatch on the free weekend and he said the second he understood the game it stopped being fun because once he learned what he needed to win it felt like he was obligated to be the support/tank in nearly every match, and not doing so against those who did usually resulted in a loss.

I have no idea if he's right or even what the Overwatch meta is comprised of but I find that's true for most any team based game.

Warframe is only salvageable because the very core gameplay (shooting dudes and killing them with powers) is incredibly gratifying/fun. DE has done everything in their power to make that core less fun by surrounding it with bullshit. Removing coptering, R10 mods existing, WEAPON AND WARFRAME SLOTS being incredibly limited from the word 'go', far before you could feasibly start generating plat to get yourself going. Things like all 6 Equinox parts being locked to Tyl Regor (requiring you to run him approximately 22 times on average to get what you need.)

Add to this the general power disparity between certain warframes and their alternatives (Equinox>Oberon, Tonkor>*) and DE's willingness to nerf things arbitrarily due to 'exploits' (remember when they said Multishot had been bugged since its introduction? Or when Mag had finally become useful again after the death of GP in corpus sorties, so they put her down?)

Whoever designed that HUD should be permanently banned from ever working on any vidya.

HUD is the worst part of the game. You can tone it down tho.

To qualify: I have some of the lowest playtime among my group of friends whom I play warframe with, but the sentiments I'm expressing are shared by all. DE made a REALLY good game, those 5 or so years ago, and they've been fucking it up ever since. There's some light here and there; the last few updates/frame introductions have generally been really good, but to get to the point where you're well-supplied and well-outfitted enough to benefit from that, especially as a solo player, is absolutely obscene.

The game isn't p2w, mind you; I don't think it ever has been. Instead, whether you pay $$$ or not, DE makes an effort to stifle the everloving shit out of anything you enjoy doing.
