I'm sorry but the last time this happened we got hit with the huge turd that is NMS.

I literally said "oh shit" out loud the first time I got to use the XBX flight module. Can't think of the last time I did that. The journey to getting your Skell and flight abilities is great. Call it tedious if you want, but god damn does it make the payoff even better. By contrast, I was playing Fallout 4 around the same time (a game I still have yet to finish) and getting powerarmor in the first 30 minutes felt so underwhelming. It isn't helped that you can find more armor every 100 feet.

Red Dead can get away with it since people know Rockstar can create quality games, whilst the H:ZD devs aren't nearly as known (although even then, I would much prefer if devs would actually show their games instead of creating these "cinematic trailers".

I loved how in this game failure was actually an option and your poor choices could and often did come back to bite you.

Far too often in games there is no right choice and all decisions are equally valid which is utter bullshit.
