Fun is a lame emotion for children. Virgin manbabbies consider it to be the greatest human experience, because they havent matured at all. Is pure sugar the best food? Is a rollercoaster the greatest thing one can do? Climbing a tall mountain is not fun, winning a championship in sports does not involve much fun, having a philosophical discourse isnt fun, but all of these things make "fun" video games look like a waste of life. Thats why challenging games will always be more fulfilling, they trade fun for much beter emotions.

Nope ive done both you dumbass. Hiking is hard fucking work. Theres nothing fun about tiredly dragging yourself up a hill for hours and hours. Its rewarding,but if youre telling me that you had fun the whole damn time youre lying. Same thing with sports, training is hard work, and big games are so stressful you cant have fun and enjoy them, theyre serious business.
