No, it's probably because you played them last. BB was my first Souls game and I found the early games easier, gameplay is slower and bosses have much less moves to memorize. They are all about the same though with random spikes in each one on the hard bosses/areas.

I'm sorry I can't take anybody who ranks DS2 over BB seriously. These games difficulty is overblown anyway (they all have exploitable mechanics and you're downplaying how easy 100% shields make most bosses), they just don't hold your hand like most modern games. I will grant you the BB is probably the easiest to reach the credits, but end game content is the hardest.

oh sorry, that wasn't a ranking but progression. I went BB > DS3 > DS > DS2 > DeS. The 2 hardest for me was BB and DS3, by the time I got to DS2 I was beating almost all bosses in 1-2 tries besides a few.
