Did this even get nominated for an award?
It came out this year, what happened? I thought it was pretty good

lost to witcher 3 dlc for rpg of the year.
i dont think it was up for anything else.
It was an underwhelming game. Not to mention the ded as fuck invasion scene
Best game in the series honestly. Blows the fuck out of DaS2.
game awards are won by $$$, not quality
as in, give Geoff $$$ and you'll get an award
Bloodborne lost best and art "direction" to indieshit, atleast this lost to a really good expansion pack.
It was amazing for the first playthrough. It is the most boring game to replay. I've already dropped it. I've played nearly 200 hours between two characters and that's great, but given how superficial "builds" are in this game I don't see a point to picking the game back up again. Spellcasting isn't worth it. Hexes aren't worth it. Faith is okay, I guess. Just not really much besides what thing you use. I mean, it's not like you have to plan out your attire, poise, roll speed, or anything. Not like there's a significant, worthwhile point to going to fatroll-tier weight. Fatroll isn't an option in DaS3, it's a punishment, and it's that kind of philosophy that killed its replay value for me.
DaS2 on the other hand is interesting. Not particularly GOOD, but even now there's still plenty of builds that sound cool but I haven't done yet.
DaS > DeS > DaS2 > DaS3
Pretty much this. I have almost 1000 hours in das 1. This one was made for all the fags who jumped on the bandwagon late and wanted to feel like it was still relevant. Everyone knows that bloodbourne was the next step forward. I'm sorry pc users. I'm no consolefag either and have both.
>Gookshit winning anything at TGA
lel
it's dead because the invasions are shit. I don't know why they felt the need to ruin the main cause of the games' longevity so badly. The only logical explanation is that memezaki wanted the game to fail. Other supporting evidence is taking the worst parts of dark souls 1 and 2 and combining them together, and making the story about how endlessly repeating the same thing over and over ruins everything, and those who do the thing have decided fuck that, they want to do new things, and you the protagonist have to drag them kicking and screaming back, to rehash the age of fire again even though the world is clearly falling apart because of it.
Bloodborne had all the issues of DaS3 without the creative new world and themes.
>Splatoon, Mario Maker and MGV won various awards last year
>game awards are won by $$$, not quality
>an indie game beat Bloodborne in a category
How much money did that indie company pay him from their HUGE established studio?
It's a shit rehash
>Japanese game winning TGA
>I thought it was pretty good
>I
Exactly.
>I thought it was pretty good
You have shit taste.
DS2 > Bloodborne > Demon's Souls > Dark Souls >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Dark Souls 3
I love the DS series, but I'll tell you right now that DS3 is a very polarizing game.
Pros:
>looks great
>plays fast
>feels like a more true DS1 sequel
>cool lore
>great bosses
Cons:
>they fucked up build variety
>magic is awful
>"""poise working as intended"""
>invasions fucked
>too much DS1 wanking
>linear
>feels short
>everything does to much fucking damage
I liked it a lot at first but when I played through again and struggled to make a decent faith build after 3 respecs I just gave up and picked up SotFS (I had already played the shit out of DS2 mind you).
>DS2 > Bloodborne > Demon's Souls > Dark Souls
Oh, I need to point out that Soul of Cinder is an amazing final boss to thematically speaking. Really tugged at my heartstrings.
Crack some fingers or summon someone and the invaders pour in.
>Wolnir
>Curse Rotted Great word
>Yhorm
>Deacons
Why does dks3 have so many gimmick bosses?
Didn't that release last year?
Could have sworn it was 2015
Multiplayer just needs to be removed. Tired of Single player getting the boot. I miss when they didn't even try and we got good shit like Demon's Souls and dark souls 1
>creative new world and themes.
All the game did was pander to das 1 lore and even brought back characters. name one creative thing das 3 did that wasn't already in das 1. Also did you even play bloodbourne? Brand new world and lore with faster combat done right.
Made me think.
From can't afford to buy awards for its games.
weapon arts and now kill yourself please.
>memes
>Forgettable everything
>Over half the weapons are nearly useless
>Lol Longsword
>Invading nearly guaranteed you getting analy ravaged by a gank squad
>No poise
>Armor is purely cosmetic
At least the final boss was neat. Still has SOTFS beat in terms of content. Doesnt really deserve any awards though.
>give every weapon one or two new attacks
>some are shit that was already in previous games, katana WA is just hilt parrying and pyromancy flame WA is just combustion
>creative
(You)
I'm sorry, I meant with.
Kek And you name one of the most garbage mechanics. That's all I needed. Literally nothing good was brought into das 2
>Invading nearly guaranteed you getting analy ravaged by a gank squad
If you can't beat them then join them. Ganking is fun.
3*
>everything does to much fucking damage
More like big weapons do 15% more damage than longsword while swinging 3 times slower.
>but muh hyperarmour
Doesn't mean shit if they make armor useless thus make it impossible to tank hits.
Also, rollspam has something like 70%+ i-frames, considering the fact that you can spam 10+ rolls even at low stamina it makes them infeasible for PvP.
It's ok for PvE because almost no enemy has i-frames thankfully.
Did nothing memorable or new and was the third game of it's series.
