Well anything would exceed the expectations of a game even they didn't believe would ever be released.

It's a marketing trick to not talk about the real numbers and deflect it on "I prefer it that way" territory.

Even if it's going to be the worst game released this gen and an absolute disappoint, I'm just glad it's finally released and not vaporware. If only the same happened to some other games.

It's because the game is a love letter from a simpler and perhaps better time within this industry and people recognize it and want to enjoy the experience of this game.

People don't remember that games like SOTC and Ico inspired many industry greats like Miyazaki to begin developing games because they opened his and many peoples eyes up to the possibilities of the medium.

I could never bring myself to preorder this game. All those years, all the shit, all the "hype" that it can never possibly live up to. It just seems like a complete waste on money to preorder.

You can tell how little faith Sony had in this game when Battlefield has three times as many TV commercial showings a month after release than TLG does mere days before release.

It'll be interesting to see how many sales TLG needs to turn a profit. Sony has been doing pretty good creating middleware games recently with R&C, Sly Cooper TiT, and Gravity Rush 2. I hope they continue on this path.

TLG got huge billboard signs already, its been advertised twice at E3, had huge coverage at TLG, it's going to be advertised again at PSX and be playable on the demo floor. Stop talking shit user.

I find it hard to get excited for it anymore after it's been delayed this long. There has to be something wrong with it that caused that.

Well of course if you market your game for nearly 10 years, you can expect decent pre-order figures.

Don't know how that shit works in US but at least in yurop, pre-ordering is a way to get the game day one delivered to your door and it's usually cheaper to buy it from some online retailer than go to an actual store.

He's alright but I urged him to stop jerk so much to FFXV before it was even out since it made him look unprofessional. He got mad and said he is passionate about videogames. Well that's great but a journalist should generally refrain from acting like a fanboy and instead try to approach the matter as objectively as possible.
