>make a early-access game at full price
>win best fighter of the year

Honestly, Pokken should've won. Even if it is more casual, it's still a more polished fighter than SFV. If Geoff wants these awards and his shitty Kojima speech to be taken seriously, then he needs to get people who know shit about fighters.

But it is the best fighter of the year, you scrub

KoF and BlazBlue say hi

>KoF
>even more unpolished with it's PS1 tier graphics

>BlazBlue
>weebshit

>Pokken should've won
HAHAHA

Revalator says yo

Revelator doesnt count, neither does KI S3 because both those games released in previous years and these are just the expansions

>Pokken
>polished
Haha, oh wow. Funny joke.

How can you call Pokken polished when it's got Mewtwo's shenanigans, Sunny Day spam refreshing supports, and Chandelol beams?

To be fair it had not much competition. Blame tekken for being out in 2017.

And still somehow has a smaller roster than SFV

>Nintendo shit
>winning anything

No one cares about Nintenpoo.

I'm not sure. I'm pretty cvertain KI didnt win because the game released in 2013 and expansions or updated versions of fighters are in these categories only for filler, but still very disgenious for SFV to win and shows capcom can fuck up big time and get away with it because the SF brand is a big name.

Nice thread, Nintendrone. Now go catch dem Pikachus.

Literally every fighting game released this year is better than sf5

SFV was the only nominee that people actually played despite being a scam.

>Pokken should've won

Way to immediately ruin your own opinion and thread, manchild.

You shouldnt take big game awards like these to mean anything. SFV can be a literal shit on a plate and it would still win regardless.

>Pokken

I love how delusional Nintendogs are about their irrelevant games on their irrelevant platforms. No one gives a fuck about your stupid Pokemon dogshit.

JAPAN IS FREE

>I don't like this artstyle
>I don't like these graphics
>This game doesn't count because it's an expansion

I hate the FGC so much. SFV is a mechanical failure and a failure on the content front too, yet it's the only fighting game allowed to be competitively relevant in the west because normalfags can't handle anything different and are too afraid to stray from their precious name recognition. These Eventhubs shitters would be playing Cross Tekken over the multitude of superior games if they didn't have any other games with Capcom's stamp on it to fall back on.

And it's all exacerbated by this "man up and get good" mentality that silences anyone with legitimate criticism on the game's faults, only letting positive word of mouth go back in forth in what is possibly the greatest circlejerk in all of videogame fandom. Thanks to this, capcom is probably just going to do minor character balance changes next season and won't do anything to make SFV anything more than a watered down clusterfuck of forward dashes, jump-ins, and crush counter fishing. The game still won't have any dedicated zoning, footsies, or emphasis on space control of any kind and will remain an overly offensive struggle to obtain momentum with little wiggle room for different playstyles. The game is just bad from a competitive and casual perspective. No consistent and safe ways to play for competitive players, no content for casuals.

I will just uninstall SFV if capcom doesnt bring in a lot of balance changes. They got my money, true enough, but they havent gotten any more money from from me and from the sound of their 1.4million sales which not even top 8 on ESPN2 helped budge, they are gonna need all the seasonal costume and season pass character money
