Nothings coming out

They reviewed Star Fox

Nintendo released like one game since then.

They seem to give Pokemon plenty of free press anyway

Like what?

>They reviewed Star Fox
I know and it was 7 months ago

They didn't even make a review for this, I always liked it when they trashed shit games. shame :(.

color splash, kirby robobot, metroid fed force, mario star rush, tokyo FE session, f'n pokemon sun and moon.

They don't have time for shovelware. Sun/Moon will get a review.

None of those are worth wasting time to review

They are reviewing Sun and Moon
Even if they don't review them they had color splash and FE streams talking about how much they liked them. They review whatever they want really, since they don't live by the clicks anymore. I guess they didn't deem any of those good enough to complete

Yeah in March

How do you guys feel about them so far? I like the podcasts, though there should be more bosman v wozniak

>f'n

Stop bullying Ian!

Bosman is a corporate cuck now. I prefer Jones, Huber, and Ben.

>tfw Bosman called out Jones last night

Too much feminism

>music
>SJW shit
>politics
Nigga shut the fuck up

>video games
Cool guy

Both podcasts are great, tabletop is a lot better than the GT one, fiascos are back. Game Sleuth is great. Always enjoy huber being joyful on everything. Streams are pretty comfy, and bosman content is great and his youtube gaming show is finally getting popular enough to allow him to make skits at the end. Overall feeling good they just gotta keep it up and expand

They have limited time and resources. Do you really want them to spend time reviewing games that even Nintendo fans would agree are nothing but filler until the Switch arrives?

t. ashly

Ian makes it so easy for him to be bullied. He's just so annoying but he seems to have calmed down a bit.

quality on HAWP is as high as ever, ash. keep it up

I love this. It absolutely nails the "Us gamers huh?" sentiment perfectly.

Heres hoping they really let him go wild with skits in the future. Apparently the dear bosman segments are some of the highest in view counts during the live show, and the producers couldn't understand because he doesn't have 100k+ twitter followers or a massively popular youtube channel

>youtube.com/watch?v=3yPWMdxHSQ4

That was wonderful. I missed Kyle's skits

They're committed to a Sun/Moon review. which isn't necessary anyway, Brandon Sun Kyle Moon is all you need.

I'd rather see him doing his own thing. He CLEARLY hated doing the "sponsored content" during the show. Making someone who's that aware of the bullshit in this industry do that is just cruel.

Problem is he only actually tries when he has an ensured paycheck for it. Bosman at Home was a massive downgrade and not in a production way.

I'd love him to not be corporate bosman too, but clearly when hes on his own he just throws out whole episodes worth of content because he doesnt like it with bosman at home, and without money and proper production values, his skits are stuff he comes up with in ms paint. I don't really know why he was at the game awards doing shit since that and the youtube gaming thing are totally separate, I guess Geoff just really wanted his help and Bosman admires him too much to say no

he spews sjw shit sometimes, but I can tolerate that, he aint bad

Probably the more stuff he does for Geoff, the more free reign Geoff will give him

>sometimes

But one day, it is fated for the Doritos Pope and the Bud Light Bishop to do battle..
It is not a matter of if, but rather a question of when.

I think he does the Game Awards because he believe Keighley really wants to make a "legitimate" award show for games. Unfortunately all the shilling is just a reality for funding something like this.

The ads wouldn't even be that bad if they were just normal b-roll ads that the show cut to every so often. But for some reason they insist on doing the whole "Us gamers huh" thing live during the show. Being live makes it feels so much more The "Us gamer huh?" tone just makes even worse. Look at the razor blade ad; the fictional game it was featured in looks exactly like what someone who doesn't play videogames look like. Either the people who made the ad wanted to make a point to market to gamers but couldn't be bothered to do any kind of research OR they deliberate decided to try and target people who don't play videogames for an ad that plays during a videogame's award show.

I feel like to Geoff had to shove lots of ads and sponsors in this year to really get the MUCH better premiers over the past two years. Previously it was a bunch of indie garbage and maybe one really significant thing. This year had quite a bit to offer (zelda trailer and gameplay, Death Stranding, Prey gameplay, Mass Effect gameplay, etc.) so I think to really get those, he had to double down and get some mad cash to pay for it all. That "Us gamers huh?" mentality has been there since the VGAs and I doubt itll ever go away, at least Bosman took a shot at it with his skit during the preshow and I doubt normies even noticed they were being made fun of

>tfw missed it during work

>I don't really know why he was at the game awards doing shit since that and the youtube gaming thing are totally separate

pretty sure he and geoff are either friends or at least business friends. kyle is always doing stuff for his projects

Then maybe Keighley needs to abandon the exclusive reveals. If we're brutally honest they're nothing but glorified commercials themselves.

When The Game Awards started they were meant to be the antitheses of everything the Spike VGAs were (20 commercials for Deadliest Warrior and a plug for the latest Beyonce album). Independence form network television was supposed to free the show and make something people who play videogames actually enjoy. The tribute for Ken and Roberta Williams in 2014 would never have been done on Spike TV. But just two years later and the show is identical to its progenitor.

Well to put it simply, if it didn't have its world premiers almost no one would watch it. Nobody says "boy I can't wait to see who won best sports game!" they always tune in for the reveals and the awards are always just there. its not like how people watch the oscars. the majority just don't care enough about a game winning an award.

Then Keighley can't have it both ways. Either admit no one really cares about honoring videogames or do the legit award show.

My suspicion is that people do care. Obviously not as many people who watch the current Game Awards but enough to fund the show if it was kept low key and just handed out awards without dragging in celebrities/musical performances and exclusive game reveals. Of course people would claim that the smaller scale show looks tiny next to "real" award shows like the Oscars but really that just proves that the current Game Awards are dressing for the job it wants to have rather than the job it actually has.
