Is this the definition of a flawed masterpiece?

I don't think the foldout map of Vvardenfell included with Morrowind is much of a masterpiece.
(you)
It's comfy as fuck.
I've been wanting to play this game, but I just cant get past the horrible graphics
Any mods to fix them?
Some people will say yes, but the reality is no.
Morrowind Graphics Extender. Gets rid of the super small draw distance for one.
I always wondered what those X's on the map represent. Younger me assumed they were treasure spots but there is usually nothing there.
Fagged the link up, search Morrowind Overhaul - Sounds And Graphics on morrowind nexus.

And nah
I just love how Elder Scroll faggots cling onto the shitty older games in the franchise. Of course the games can't stand on their own, just like the newer entries into the series, so you gotta mod them.
I played Morrowind on Xbox for 200 hours. Oblivion and Skyrim disappointed me. Your point negated.
>morrowind faggots in the thread tell the guy to use the Morrowind Overhaul mod in order to enjoy the shitty old game
>meanwhile, people are still playing chrono trigger in all its 16bit glory without even though the thought of modding it
I think the draw distance works in favor of the game. Graphics are horrible and Vvardenfell looks really stupid from far away, but the limited vision obscures the big picture, and also subjects you to less of the bad graphics.
The first time I played Morrowind I had all sorts of graphics mods. The annoying thing is that all that clutter obscures things behind it, and old games aren't exactly known for putting important stuff in easy to reach places. Did not have much fun being attacked by small critters hidden in the grass that doesn't exist in vanilla. Uninstalled all the mods, enjoyed the game.
>flawed
skyrimfags leave
>without even though the thought of modding it
Yeah CT64 was never a thing that existed at all, and nobody ever thought of re-releasing older games with updated and flashy graphics but bethesdafaggots.
The difference is that no mod can ever make Chrono Trigger a good game.
There is a flaw, but Skyrim has an equivalent flaw that's worse.
-Morrowind makes no distinction between attack misses that are the player's fault and misses that are caused by RNG. Enemies never roll attack if they are off target.
-Skyrim distinguishes hits from misses, but it's impossible to miss by RNG, because skills don't matter, because it's not an RPG.
>The difference
lol
Graphics overhaul completely takes away oldschool rpg feeling from it. If you aren't playing morrowind in its low poly glory you aren't playing it right.
I feel sorry for graphicsfags. I got the Overhaul mod and had an absolute blast with the game, I put in about 50 hours over a 2 week period and that was just enough for me to beat Dagoth Ur and do a few guilds. I still have Tribunal and Bloodmoon to play aswell as a shit load of exploring and side quests.
Seriously, give it a go man, its pure unadulterated gameplay and what RPG's are sadly missing today.
But aren't the creatures small enough to hide in grass basically just cannonfodder like Scribs and rats? I wouldn't worry about THAT, and hen you can turn off the grass, or can't you anymore?
Xbox Morrowind is still the definitive edition in my mind.
Only idiots whose first game was Oblivion think it is flawed.
If TES lore is in a dream, how come it's not a wet dream at some point?
It is, if you consider mods.
Hermaphrodite Vivec gave birth to hundreds of Molag Bal babies and then murdered them all.
It is flawed, just not in the ways most people complain about. The slow movement speed, missing are plebeian issues that are mitigated after a few hours of play, or non-existent if you build your character properly.
But the NPCs that just stand around and the total lack of physics are big flaws. And not in a, "well it was ok for the time" sort of way. Ultima Underworld had better physics than Morrowind a decade earlier.
The best graphical mod is the watercolours texture replacer. Keeps the charm of vanilla while making everything look like a painting.
It is partially isn't it? Dibella helped create Mundus, and that's why sex exists.
>'physics' in games
It's always some weird shit that manages to be worse than either real life or having nothing included at all.
I believe the X's represents ship locations (crashed ones etc).
It's shipwrecks, yeah.
Just take less than thirty seconds and make an account with a fake email, you paranoid autist.
