Is anyone else here low on money and that makes your video game hobby suffer? I only have a shitty laptop, I can barely ever run games that are 10 years old, and if I do, I have to put them on the absolute lowest settings with hardly any draw distance. I see people on youtube play games with beautiful graphics and no lag or frame skips and I get so jealous.
Poor gaming
Get a job, you degenerate failed adult.
That picture is depressing as fuck
That thing's fucking horrifying.
I get by, I nave like a $400 dell inspiron which can play fo4 at like 7 fps with a ULTRA LOW change to files but it's a blessing in disguise because I pretty much have to play older games. fallout planescape diablo, and it's been a blast.
im so jaded i dont even care about graphics anymore. my chair sucks, i have no good peripherals and i use a piece of cardboard for a mousepad and could probably still beat you all in quake
but to be real honest im happy im not one of these faggot millenial 16-20 somethings who think graphics and branding are the be all end all. I feel bad for them. $1000 rig and no brain
or even better, the cunts who only paly LoL and shit games
not really
its only a downer if you're one of those gamers that only wants to play current fad games
this
I just want to play overwatch
Do you work?
My money situation isnt critical but it's bad enough at the moment that I'm considering not getting The Last Guardian till it drops in price.
That gave me a negative boner.
It's the same thing you're doing
>It's the same thing you're doing
>being poor
if you have the time and energy to play shitty vidya then you could atleast get a part time job
>loads of abandonware to play
>enough freeware to keep you entertained forever
>six generations of console vidjers available for easy emulation
being poor is zero (0) excuse
its literally a tf2 clone user
you're not really missing out unless thats all your friends are playing
tfw >I don't have any connections or references for my first job
yeah but we're not bears in a prison
It's normal to want things you don't/can't have, but it doesn't mean you wouldn't get bored after a month of playing beautiful AAA games if you got a high end PC.
I have a good machine and for the last few years I've been mainly playing NES, SNES, N64, Master System, Mega Drive, Amiga, PSX, PS2, PSP, GBA, DS, GC and Wii games on it.
Just emulate what old systems your laptop can emulate and play great games that you can play.

Get googleing, linkedin, pester people, attend job fairs, get into freeware/open source projects, do hobbies that have to do with what job you want and market them (even if it means posting your crappy handcrafted table to instagram), join a sports club, make connections anywhere, ask family, obtain certs, volunteer at soup shelters.
I'm a bear in a prison, but a different kind of bear
