Seriously, if it DOES take place in Vice City (it will) I seriously can't imagine a world where Miami Nights 1984 doesn't have his own radio station.

youtube.com/watch?v=nLzjm9E1hwg

they should

youtube.com/watch?v=I8FYYCI8MW8

Also a good choice, although my favorite track by him is probably this:

Here's a topic:

When do you think the game would take place, if it was Vice City? General consensus would say "in the '80s" and while I would literally cum buckets to see an HD 80's GTA game .. I don't think it would be the right choice.
Because of gameplay elements, and sadly the Online, it will take place in :currentyear:.

Which is best to have good music, they wouldn't put in retrowave music as it would promote anachronisms.

youtube.com/watch?v=QjA-aFWOZOw

How about some actual 80s music?

youtube.com/watch?v=3dUbtrTU-1U

I'm working on this:

vocaroo.com/i/s1sobSaP3N5N

Does this sound like neo-80's to you?

So the new HD Grand Theft Autos are new canon right?

Yes.
Actual 80s is

youtube.com/watch?v=TIKn1gm_tIE

you should try to get less of an horro vibe

Yeah.

GTAIV, DLCs, Chinatown Wars, and V are the new canon, called the HD Universe. All PS2 era games are 3D universe, and the old top down GTAs are 2D Universe.

Sounds like the credits music to Mark L. Lester film.

>working for free
nice try rockstar's jew

But the neo-80s thing has already passed.

Yeah... I was originally going for a Carpenter thing but then it turned into something different.

>neo-80s is over

It feels like it only lasted a few years.

Why do people think it'll take in Vice City in the 80s? Just curious.

Because it did. The fad had no legs.

>tfw we will never see Tommy ever again

It's basically just starting, and fads rarely truly end.
We're not, this music wouldn't be in the game if the setting was actually the 80s, as these songs werent made until the last 8 years.
But if its Vice City, of course Rockstar is going to play up the 80's nostalgia theme if it takes place in the current day.

>It's basically just starting
What fucking planet are you on?

80s, 90s and current year
we've had 3 protagonists now the gimmick will be 3 timeperiods

cap this btw

The planet where it's still 1984.

Seriously though, I realize you're one of those people who spout 'lol le neo-80s fad'. Look at a lot of games recently, and theres always some sort of 80s theme.

Call of Duty JUST released a game that had a zombie mode specifically themed around the 80s.

Maybe.

Driver did it, but it didn't work very well. I can't imagine THREE time periods, but two yeah maybe.

Let's do it OP
youtube.com/watch?v=MDNSLAvD-qI

man, if only GTA VI had a neo 80s setting, but no, it's probably gonna be modern boredom...

youtube.com/watch?v=er416Ad3R1g

Game will take place in San Fierro and Las Venturas with Bone County sandwiched between them. V's desert was so underwhelmingly shitty we deserve something better in the next installment.

> I realize you're one of those people who spout 'lol le neo-80s fad'
How fucking spastic and deluded do you need to be to believe there's a fucking conglomerate of people who go around saying "lol le neo-80s fad"?

You need psychological help. Seriously.

You must be new here.

>n-newfag
Fucking hell. Quit while you're behind.

As an addendum, I feel like this is truly the best route for them to go.

Make the map 1.2x as large as V's, with Venturas being about 4x the size of Paleto Bay

*Venturas strip

Another gem from/for neo-80s
youtube.com/watch?v=tbx8qRg6tPE

Impressive user. Got any tips for someone just starting out?

Literally everything on k109
bring back karl too

man I finally have some new shit to listen to
keep it coming lads

youtube.com/watch?v=TnLAC5AJPuM

Play. Have fun. Don't think too much.

Tell me this wouldn't be sick to hear on GTA radio driving down the rural highways.

youtube.com/watch?v=m0AKJMGxwpE

Any eurobeat really, but especially:
youtu.be/PaXY78sHtrc

>tfw PS2-era San Andreas managed to create a wilderness with a much more desolate and rural atmosphere than the graphically superior V

This neo-80s stuff will never be as good as the actual 80s. It's like the new Star Wars, it's all good fun but it lacks soul.

youtube.com/watch?v=qeMFqkcPYcg
youtube.com/watch?v=GFDqUDdVfjY

youtube.com/watch?v=_D3udbawA1Q

Neo-80s music is different than 80s music. It's not supposed to be a replication.

they don't lack anything, they're great
you're just mistaking soul for novelty

>Neo 80s when 90s and the 00s are the cool eras now
Why is Sup Forums behind literally every single trend? Its not 2010 any more.

>00s
>cool
u wot

Its already begun and its only going to get more popular.

Provide evidence.

you can't make accusations like that without evidence, i assume that you have some?

youtube.com/watch?v=u02tycroA30

Beyond a steady stream of early 00s revivals like Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars and the Harry Potter prequels, high fashion is already making moves towards it since people always look back fondly on 20ish years ago. People who were 18 in 2000 will soon be 38 and creating media from their youth, just like how the 90s was filled with 70s stuff and the 70s was filled with 50s stuff.
