Explain to me why you're not playing the best AAA arena shooter in recent memory?
Explain to me why you're not playing the best AAA arena shooter in recent memory?
Shills FUCK OFF!. Neck yourselves.
I am.
I am
No split-screen, no sale

>Halo
>best AAA arena shooter
COMEDY GOLD. XBOT SHILLS ON SUICIDE WATCH!
Name a better one.
If it's so good, then why aren't you playing it instead of reposting this same fucking thread everyday?
>you can't play games and post at same time
Sony hasn't made a good shooter in over a decade.
Good game.
I am. Titanfall 2 is pretty fun
>titanfall 2
>arena shooter
H
Is it your job to make this thread or are you just really persistent in managing it on your free time?
Who's excited for server browser?
I bought Halo 5 in 2015, I didn't like it very much
It has a lot more content now, big update coming next week or so.
that's great and all but I've got so much other shit to play that I'm not going to go back to it now. I don't buy games to hope they'll become good eventually.
I don't have an xbox and this game was a joke at release. Course now that I've seen the fucking custom game multiplayer and the shit new forge can do like scripting and making entire maps I'm suddenly much more open to this game. It honestly looks like the absolute best Halo multiplayer period.
Which sucks cause as great as it looks it's not worth a fucking xbone for one game.
>content
>shitty fan made maps
>stupid weekly playlist bullshit
>shitty helmets
>worst customization by being disappointing
>boring aesthetic all around
I don't see why previous state of game should matter for current enjoyment. Just imagine the game was released this month.
If you actually have other things to play then it wouldn't matter if it released with all current content.
>forge maps and customs are shitty because I say so
>loads of weapon variants aren't fun to play with
>custom game browser isn't good
K
Also customization is meaningless, it's a shooter not Barbie Dress Up 2016. Did you whine when you could only change color in CE?
Look up footage of some of those custom games though. I don't have an xbone but even I admit it looks good. I never knew forge got so damn good. I still viewed is as an advanced weapon placements tool, not as a means to make entire maps and game types. Motherfuckers be making bouncing mini games, death run maps, medieval warfare and left 4 dead with vehicles.
It's free on PC.
I haven't been playing it for a year now, I'm going to be rusty. There was less for me to play fall of 2015 than there is now.
I thought the game was okay but boy they really did a number on the visuals to achieve the framerate. I barely play my Xbone now but I hope they make Halo 6 Xbox exclusive just so I have a reason to play it again.
60 fps is nice though.
>shiling a game months a year after it died
lmao
Server browser means the game will never die for the true Halo fans.
Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed Halo 5 but you can't tell me the going from Reach level of customization to this is acceptable.
>buy xbone to be a halo machine
>mcc comes out and is busted to shit and will never be fully functioning
>halo 5 comes out with a fucking god awful story and no content
>multiplayer isnt even that good
>live with unending shame over these purchases
>never touch halo again
I suppose I've never felt customization to be very important and I didn't enjoy Reach's credit grind shit much either.
At least the base armor is one of the better sets.
This this this this
If you have W10, just play the PC port of that.
As you say it has great MP and forge but the SP is trash, so the free PC version that's MP and forge only is obviously the best way to go about it.
>multiplayer not even that good
I'm in the same boat as you. I bought an xb1 when there were rumors of Halo 2 remake but you're bullshitting. Halo 5 has the best multiplayer of all of them. Breakout was fantastic. Gunplay fantastic. Movement was stellar. Graphics are great. Campaign was 3/10 but multiplayer was 9/10
this meme absolutely must die
>Halo 5 has the best multiplayer of all of them
CE is better.
I guarantee you the others that agree with me also did gamebattles and competitions in halo 2/3. Halo 5 caters specifically to the people who played the mlg game type in halo 3. The people who love br spawns and no power weapons other than sniper and 2 round rocket. That's the group that loves halo 5.
They're so different that they're not comparable. CE is by far the best halo game though.
i will never accept sprint in halo
I wish Halo 5 was sprintless desu.
Too bad it will never go away, I wonder if bungie hadn't added it in reach would 343 have added it.
>console
It's free on PC.
>I wonder if bungie hadn't added it in reach would 343 have added it.
most likely, a shooter cant make it on console without sprint or some form of ADS
overwatch
how does its console playerbase compare to pc?
also
>Soldier 76
>CE is by far the best halo game though.
Nah.
The singleplayer is ridiculously flawed and tedious, and while it does have some of the best MP in the series mechanically (only behind 2/2A and 5 i'd argue), it is also seriously hurt by the lack of content/modularity that later games in the series benefit so much from.
Overall, i'd say it goes
2/A > ODST >> Reach = 3 > CE/A = 5 >>> 4
That ranking is fucked.
>requires spyware to play
...
Then explain why you disagree with it faggot
It'd take too long.
Then summerize. Hell, here's my summary:
>2/A Has the best writing, campaign misssions, and MP maps, and the second best core MP gameplay. Lacks forge and some of the gameplay modularity of later titles but 2A fixes that. Only real issue is the shit weapon balance.
>ODST Has the best atmosphere and music, second best campaign and writing. Firefight is fun, but MP is just 3's.
>Reach and 3 both have decent campaigns and writing in terms of single player. 3 MP wise is pretty much just a step down from 2 in every way of MP aside from the weapon sandbox and forge. Reach meanwhile has the most amount of content of any halo game with an absurd amount of modes and settings, but absolutely garbage MP maps and the core gameplay changes are a mix bag and something about it just feels less fun then 3 in a way I can't put my finger on
>CE's campaign suffers due to a lack of enemy and weapon variety as well as an unacceptable amount of reused geometry, textures, and mission settings. It's still a good campaign, but compared to the other halo campaigns it's ridicliously tedious. That said, CE has the second best MP maps in the series and the third best core gameplay, but is the least modular/worst for customs. 5 has the best core gameplay, forge, and weapon balance in the series, but the camapign is short as balls and is only decent putting the length aside.
>4's campign is basically just CE's but newer, and the MP is only okay, which for a halo game is very sub-par.
>frogposter not knowing any better
What a surprise
He's right though?
Titanfall 2 isn't an arena shooter. It has loadouts to start with.
>60 fps is nice though.
it is, but there are other games on Xbone that achieve it without sacrificing visuals so much. Metro Redux, DOOM, Halo 4 in the MCC, MGSV. Halo 5 drops down to 720p tier resolutions regularly.
>campaign
Halo 3 > Halo 1 > Halo 2 > Halo 4 > Halo 5 > Reach
People who like halo tend to have Down syndrome
I'll never comprehend anybody thinking CE's campaign isn't among the worst in the series.
It's only the best because there haven't been any other arena shooters.
Halo 5 is shit because friendly fire is enabled in the matchmaking, and the game can ban you if your grenades damage team mates.
I'll never comprehend anybody thinking 2's campaign is the best in the series.
I'll admit it had repetitive level design, but for the time, no other game made you feel like you were exploring a desolate world better than the Halo 1 campaign. This was a huge scale FPS for the time, and it still stands out today with most first person shooters opting for linearity and no vehicles.
Hell no, bad list.
Halo 3 > Halo 2 > Halo Reach > Halo 4 > Halo 5 > Halo CE
That's the definitive campaign rankings.
Yeah I've been playing titanfall 2 every chance I get
>definitive campaign rankings
There is no damn definitive Campaign ranking, you either like the damn campaign or don't.
>He thinks having the second half of the game be the first half of the game in reverse with worse enemies is acceptable
You just don't know what arena shooter means.
Well, here's how I rank each individual mission for CE-3
The Covenant > The Ark > The Great Journey > Delta Halo > Regret > Tsavo Highway = The Silent Cartographer > Metropolis = Outskirts > Cairo Station > Gravemind > Assault on the Control room > Truth and Reconciliation = Halo (3) > Sierra 117 > The Storm > Uprising = Crows Nest > The Pillar of Autumn > Halo (CE) = 343 guilty spark > The Arbiter > High Charity > Sacred Icon > The Maw = Floogate > Keyes > Two Betrayals > Quarantine Zone = Cortana > The Oracle > The Library
For it's time, sure, but we aren't comparing CE against other games that came out in 2001.
>For it's time
I played it recently in Halo MCC and still enjoyed it. I appreciate the sense of freedom it gives; makes you feel like you're on a different planet better than some new games do.
>He thinks a campaign having a good first half and garbage second have with a terrible cliff hanger and boss fight is acceptable
Cunt do you even know what an arena shooter is? You do realise you have to be 18 or older to be here
>and still enjoyed it.
Sure, and I never said it wasn't fun, I just said it's very flawed compared to and more tedious then other games in the series.
Literally nothing wrong with boss fights.
There wouldn't be if they weren't shit. Master Chief got the only good boss fight in that game, Arby's sucked.
Reminder that if you like any scarab fight in Halo 3 other than the first one you're a pleb.
because since 2011 i have been playing everything on pc and now its almost impossible for me to play with a shitty controller
It's free on PC.
>Reach meanwhile has the most amount of content of any halo game with an absurd amount of modes and settings
I think 5 is more these days. It's also getting a "massive" forge update in a week or so.
All the reqs, forge, gravity volumes, vehicle welding glitch, the weapon combination glitch, letting people make prefabs, etc.
Is this free on PC crap have matchmaking?
server browser next week
and you're wrong.
H
>Tsavo Highway=Silent Cartographer
>The Arbiter anywhere near that low
>Halo (CE) not near the top
I'm actually offended.
NO
SPLIT
SCREEN
Halo is dead until that returns
Not sure if you think I placed Tsavo too high or Silent Cartographer too low
I don't think the Arbiter is bad, too be clear, I think it's a decent mission, but it's not that great, either. If there were more sections like the Banshee chase to break up the corridors it would be higher. Also, while it's not as bad as a lot of the other flood missions in 2, the flood missions in 2 are also indicative of a lot of the issues CE had in it's level design with copy pasted corridors.
I think my placement of Halo being that low is because I played CE after I played 2. 2 was my introduction to the series, so by the time I played CE I was already used to open areas in FPS campaigns like that instead of being impressived and enhtralled by how open it is, I was bored by how empty it felt. The subsquent halo games are much better at making both their outdoor and indoor areas feel more "organic" in scale and in terms of other objects and structures occupying the spaces, , if that makes any sense
How are any of the other games in the serious more tedious then.
>didnt buy it cause it sucked but rented it, meh
>friend recently buys it for me
>too many badly designed maps
>they added radar to breakout
>changed weapon balance
It really impressed how awful they made it.
>changed weapon balance
What?
Outreach ahead of 5 and I couldn't agree more, really did not care for Halo 5 at all
343i ran halo into the ground
Breakout was horrible
Halo 5 is almost the best mp but it's slightly below 2
last time i played there wasn't a server browser
>people here defending halo 5
face it. the combat fundamentally changed. its outrageously less floaty, the maps are all stangnant nonsense. its less quake more call of duty and anyone who says otherwise literally hasn't played halo before halo 5
it's a good game
it's not a good halo game
It feels exactly like an evolution of Halo 2, which was the best Halo game by far
Reach campaign was pure shit, at least some of Halo 5's levels were enjoyable, I couldn't even enjoy that in Reach.
