Lifelong Crash fan here. This looks so fucking cheap. Almost exactly like the pre-rendered intros to Crash Nitro Kart (which was a PS2 game). Just like the Ratchet and Clank remake, there's far less effort into the animation than the originals, which pushed the limits on their respective consoles. I know the PS4 is capable of far more than this.

Am I the only one that doesn't like how it looks so far? Not only artstyle-wise, but the speed and momentum of things seems way different from the original game. It's more than just a remodel, it looks weird.

As someone who played the original Crash Bandicoot when it originally came out and wasn't impressed by it, I don't really care.

Is this confirmed to be a PS4 exclusive? I didn't read anything about that, all I know is that it's being made by Activision, so who knows, maybe they'll release it on PC in the future.

the problem with this game is that it doesnt even try to hide the fact that its a literal corridor. other linear platformers, like sonic, at least detail the world to crazy extremes and widen up the main path while also throwing in some side ones sometimes. this is just a literal straight line with braindead "combat" and "platforming". crash has always sucked, they should have remastered spyro instead.

All fantastic games too. Linear games are on average much better than open world games.
