I want to get my friend this for christmas, how do I do it without spending a shitton
steal his ps2 when he isn't looking and hack it
Tell him to emulate it. I downloaded it a while back and got all the way to the last world (I think), but it's getting boring so I haven't gone back to it.
Just dress up as Klonoa and surprise him in his bedroom.
doubt thats going to happen
If he wants it because he's a retro game collector and not because he actually loves the game, (as in, he played it a crap ton during his childhood but no longer haves it) then don't bother getting it. If he's a retro collector he probably knows how expensive it is, and wouldn't want you spending that much money.
Do this, but push it further than that. Just as a joke though haha
There's a Wii version.
Digital.
Just get the second one.
no, hes not that much of one
download ntsc iso from your preferred site. burn on cd-r. with a black marker write KlOnOa on the cd front. profit.
Im Irish, will that change anything, y'know with PAL
KL@N@A
Either way, I recommend getting the digital release if possible, or maybe another game he wants that's cheaper. Tell him that the physical copy is too expensive.
doesn't have psn
>no digital
>no emulation
>no mod
you're out of luck
It's cheaper to buy him a used PS3 with the digital game ya know. If not cheaper, then roughly equal. But it's the better deal since it's an entire console, so he could buy more PS3 games in the future.
>check prices
>Klonoa Beach Volleyball is now as expensive as the main game was back when I bought the two of them
Feels good man
Well it might make him like you more but yeh I'm sure he'll still be your PAL.
gauge sells..
thanks for the advice everyone, what would you say the chances of finding a low price one on ebay, amazon or local boards?
It's on PSN.
...
The luckiest you can get buying just the disc alone online is around $60. But more often than not prices get close to $100. That's the case for America, not sure about other regions.
Most people strike lucky with retro games at flea markets and what not. It's nearly impossible to get a bargain online.
If you're still thinking about it, I recommend asking /vr/ for advice on obtaining the game. But asking for a cheap price on this game isn't realistically feasible. Just get the cheaper options or give him a different game.
There's a remake on wii
Rip the ISO to a disc, stop being a retard
It's probably on PSN. Other than that, there's a remake on the Wii, or you could get the PS2 game or one of the GBA games. They're all good.
