Is there another game that's better at exposing people as being babbies that are inexperienced with the genre the purport to be a fan of?

Music and loads of parry, but anyway, why many people call it the best Street Fighter game of the series? I prefer Alpha 2 and 3 more.

2nd Impact's OST was superior. Other than that, it is mostly either Daigo dickriders with muh moment 37 (where he still lost the set after that comeback) or Kurodafags whining about how Urien should have been in more games.
The Alpha games were pretty good but far too easy to break compared to the rest.
It's obscure enough that people can claim patrician cred, but has the SF name attached to it so that hey can dodge accusations of liking something "dead" or "irrelevant" (like anyone who likes Darkstalkers or whatever) as well as claiming that it's the "GOOD Street Fighter game, unlike SF4/SF5/whatever."

I know people want to complain about sf2s roster being in almost every game but I always thought thats because they were popular and how sf2 itself was hugely succesful
At the time people called them "a bunch of freaks." It was only years later that people finally started to like them enough that they got put in other SF games.

I like the SF3 and Alpha OCs the best desu. It's a real shame that so much of the SF3 moveset just kind of get dumpstered by parries
3rd Strike takes more skill than USFIV and SFV.
But ST is better than all three. The Alpha series are garbage for any kind of high level play.

I like 3S because of the sprite quality and newcomers.
Its because the game is actually pretty fun user.
The game is honestly unbalanced as hell but the Music, sprit work, newcomers and parries are pretty fun to do, which leads to very interesting moments during fights.
I hope SF5 turns as fun as 3s one day because right now the game is kinda boring.

It wasn't that hated at the time though like people are pretending now. People did play it, we did have large tournaments for it.

i am fairly certain people fucking hated the first iteration of Street fighter 3 because of the absolutely trash small roster.
SF 3's failure is the reason why it took them so long to make SF4, it's why SF4 was such a big deal, going back to the roots and all.
i mean yes, now people love 3S but back in arcades your average arcade player wouldn't touch SF3 because it had none of their favourite characters.

They did. 3S is the third version, and had swell. No, not the most popular game ever, but it's a fucking lie to say it was hated at the time.

Some people were playing it, but it was a pretty small number. And at first it was mostly in Japan. Part of the context of those early 3S Evo tournaments that a lot of people forget is that the US was very inexperienced in the game at the time because few people over here played it. It was Evo allowing for some international competition that got people interested in learning it.
Here's the perspective of someone who's been playing all kinds of fighting games nonstop since getting into the genre just over a year ago:
3S>=Ultra>Alpha 3>ST>SFV
I was very disappointed in SFV. To think they went three entire series of SF games with cool, useful and dynamic systems (Alpha having air blocking and Isms and Custom Combos, 3s having movement and advanced defense, Ultra having FADC) and then released SFV which only has this shitty set of V-systems.
Honestly, my taste has shifted from "simple footsies and anti-air SF style > all" to "complexity begets depth which begets strategy and Melty Blood a best" over this past year of exploring the genre. SF is solid but I'm beginning to feel like it was always more of the "entry-level poster child" of the genre rather than the ultimate gold standard I was taught to believe it was a year ago.
PS: OP is a fag and 3s has the best roster.
I liked the art style and music at the time, but 4 had better gameplay and in my opinion 5 has better music.
