>mfw I liked watch_dogs a lot more than watch_dogs2
Mfw I liked watch_dogs a lot more than watch_dogs2
A lot more?
Anyway, why?
>better main character
>better story
>better side missions
>better mini-games
How are people liking the 2nd? I'm bored as hell.
Haven't played 2 yet, but Watch Dogs 1 was just dull for me. The city felt like a chore to get around, the music was lifeless besides a few of the indie bands I recognized, the story made little sense (why does Aiden feel that badly about the death of his niece when her mother gets over it within a week?), and the gunplay was complete shit.
The Profiler was kinda neat (but ultimately hindered by shitty combat mechanics) and the camera hacking thing was occasionally entertaining, but otherwise it was just dull as fuck.
>>better main character
Okay, so definitely not coming to you for advice.
Is Aiden even in watch dogs 2?
There isn't even a Beretta 92 in Watch_Dogs.
I never got why people hated Aiden so much. He has pretty good reason to be an edgelord.
I found him dull and a hypocrite without the self-aware charm that Michael De Santa has.
He makes a cameo in a side mission where you save him from a prison cell, he doesn't even talk
I liked those things. They were atypical of your standard boring video game hero protagonist.
But he is boring!
>mfw they're both shit
>Marcus is a brilliant young hacker.
...
>He has pretty good reason to be an edgelord.
He doesn't, however, have a good reason for having all the charisma of a 2x4 with a face drawn on it.
My favorite thing is that he's a whiny, annoying edgelord, but the actual parent of the dead child has learned to cope appropriately. Also, he's supposed to be a vigilante crime fighter, yet has absolutely no qualms about emptying the bank accounts of random passers-by.
next gen graphics bros
is there a webm yet
...
it's easier to self insert, also him using guns and being violent makes more sense and the game has less ludonarritve dissonance
the vigilante thing is basically the ending of the game, setting him up for a sequel.
and the game had a useless morality meter, but not even ubisoft cared about making it matter.
Wow it seems you're literally retarded or a serial killer.
no, shadowplay broke so nope, especially since game drops framerate to 45-55 without shadowplay for no reason so with shadowplay it would drop even more, but anyway gonna try it anway. I hacked random car and it hit that bitch what a (( coincidence ))
I disagree. I find him more interesting than le wacky hacker negro and pals that are nothing but charicatures of your typical SF degenerates.
He was a criminal and a thief before the game started and before the accident. He's never portrayed as a righteous force of justice. You just expect him to be one because he's the main character. I liked that. The fact that HE may believe that just makes him delusional and a hypocrite. I liked that too. Characters don't need to be perfect or even good people. Aiden is deeply flawed, and I think that's a good thing.
>the vigilante thing is basically the ending of the game
OK, then why do they refer to him as "The Vigilante" for the entirety of Watch Dogs? Or better, yet slightly unrelated question, why do they refer to him as "The Vigilante" then refer to him by name explicitly throughout most of the game, yet he still bothers to cover up his face in security cam feeds, and his sister doesn't know his dual life?
...
>it's easier to self insert
>the game has less ludonarritve dissonance
Same here.
...
>charicatures of your typical SF degenerates.
t. flyover state cuck
>Characters don't need to be perfect or even good people
You know what they do need to be, though? Characters. Not congealed blandness.
t. lost the election
>now that common consensus is that Ubisoft Hacker Game 2 is better then Ubisoft Hacker Game, Sup Forums contrarianism kicks in
Who could have predicted this
The term vigilante doesn't imply that you're a good person, or even a force for good. Many vigilantes are portrayed as violent idiots or hypocrites who just make things worse.
I'm not a burger and thank God for that every day.
Not an argument. Aiden has a clearly-defined character and story, whether you actually liked it or not.
t. voted against his interests even harder than democucks
You don't know me and never will.
The MC of the first game is the biggest bitch faggot I've seen in recent AAA games and fuck him for fucking the only guy who did shit and was the real hacker
I don't like Marcus 'cause he is black.
...
>Aiden has a clearly-defined character and story, whether you actually liked it or not.
His character was shit.
He doesn't know how to actually hack and fell for the most obvious betrayal I'd expect a kid to fall for
...
Its so easy to make irrelevant state dwellers insecure
>implying
You know nothing about me.
>replace decent character with a hipster dindu
>set it in San Francisco, gayest city on Earth
>ruin the Online Hacking and remove Digital Trips - arguably the best things in WD1
>"WOW, YOU GUYS ARE SUCH CONTRARIANS"
>Zelda cycle
i've actually always liked watch dogs for the simple Splinter Cell esque stealth and slow mo shooting and shit, that was fun, and using the environment to take care of bad guys with hacking.
the driving was alright, it was obviously missing the plane and offroad joy from GTA 5 but i think the combat was a lot better in general.
i haven't touched the 2nd one yet because i really hate the focus on memes, "Mr. Robot" version of anonymous and the tranny badguy.
So the comparison is when SJWs design a game cover vs when 13-year-olds design a game cover?
>the simple Splinter Cell esque stealth
>better main character
>WOOOOOW By saying Aiden is better than black that must mean you think he's a great character! God I am so retarded and love penis
t.everyone responding to you
More like when Sup Forums designs a game cover and SJW's design a game cover.
Needs more Swastikas to be Sup Forums.
Name 49 watch dogs games that don't have it
splinter cell blacklist, ofcourse... since that's where watch dogs has its gameplay from.
That's what I said, though.
Somewhat related question:
I don't have, nor have I every used, Uplay.
How bad is it?So far I haven't bought this game because of it. But it seems enjoyable enough if not for that.
it's literally just a friendslist and achievements.
Cool. There were a lot of problems with it preventing games from being actually played when it was new, but it sounds like they've fixed that then.
I didn't play 1 but 2 was fun. The characters weren't that bad, except the main girl.
>THIS IS BULLSHIT, FIGHT THE MAN!!! FREEEDOOOM
>HURR BUT IM TRYING TO BUILD MY BRAND ITS EVERYTHING TO ME
I can't tell if the writers were making some weird Pagan Min point or if they're just so involved in corporate America they can't tell how hypocritical she is. Or if she's supposed to just not really care about the cause they're fighting for at all.
Don't know if I agree with the story being better, but also the city in WD1 was better.
Pretty much. Marcus is a fucking disgusting character.
Hell, Aiden is now The Fox. Some famous leet haxor nothing left to avenge for. Even if you didn't like him in the first game, he's better protagonist material now.
Sounds like you just have shit taste
Watch Dogs 2 is in no way good but at least it's not complete broken garbage like the first one was
Yeah, but the sequel has a black guy in it.
Why u racist?
>My favorite thing is that he's a whiny, annoying edgelord, but the actual parent of the dead child has learned to cope appropriately
Because he blames himself for her death (and rightly so). Losing a close family member is hard. Knowing it's your fault that they died is harder.
>Also, he's supposed to be a vigilante crime fighter, yet has absolutely no qualms about emptying the bank accounts of random passers-by
You know that a good 99% of vigilantes are NOT Bruce Waynes, right? Vigilantism is illegal because most vigilantes are just as much criminals and scumbags as the criminals and scumbags they're meting justice upon.
