Agreed.

Is this that shitty walk from puzzle to puzzle game?

DUDE CIRCLES AND LINES AND RUNNING AROUND WITH NO SENSE OF PROGRESSION OR STRUCTURE AND CRUSHING FUCKING SILENCE AND PRETENTIOUS AUDIO-TAPES

witness me

>I don't like that game so it's bad.
Some people lack any kind of objectivity. Even if you dislike the game you have to admit it's a lot better than most games released this year.

>Crushing silence
>In a game with the best sound design in ages

No it wasn't.

No game has ever had a better "WHAT THE FUCK OH MY GOOOOOOOD" moment than this moment.
Literally the most mind-melding moment in video games.
Then when you see it on the fucking obelisks and you realize that there are MORE THAN 100 of these.

Completely forgot this existed. Just seemed like a lazier Talos Principle.

Literally the best game I have ever played. If I could forget anything, literally anything, it would be my memory of The Witness because it was one of the most amazing experiences to play the first time.

>lazier

of all the words you could've used. it's clear you don't know what you're talking about, shitposter-kun.

>Some of those ones involving the boat
Fucking annoying, but awesome at the same time.

Only 2 real complaints I have about Witness are the Sound puzzles are absolute horse shit and when I was finally done with everything, I felt like I was only 80% done.

>lazier talos principle
how can you be this stupid
the reason it seems like that is because they don't spoil the good shit in the trailer, retard. The line puzzles get wild with their mechanics, but that's not all.
has a hint towards what the game ends up being.

I literally just said I never played it and completely forgot it existed. Are you special?

It is the most impressive game this year. But it will get overlooked during GOTY season a lot since it came out all the way back in January I imagine.

youtube.com/watch?v=KZokQov_aH0&t=1s

you felt like you were 80% done because you wanted more.
you will never not want more from that game. there's no way you could ever want to stop exploring blow's incredible world.
however i agree that the sound puzzles were ridiculous. They at least shouldn't have turned off when you screwed them up.

I had a really hard time with the sound puzzles as well. I think I even cheated on those.

>look mom I posted it again!!
get out of here brainlet
i cheated on one of them. lowest moment of my life.

>it seems lazy
>how can you be this stupid
>the reason it seems like that is because...

Are you -- are you agreeing with me?

The sound puzzles made me realize that apparently I'm pitch deaf.
Also holy shit fuck the shipwreck puzzle, going FUCKING INSANE listening to those drips, fucking chinese water torture in here fuck.

Jonathan Blow samefagging hard ITT

how can you possible think that a game will be lazy from the trailer because you think it looks like another game? you could say that about literally anything. that's why i called you stupid.
i'm agreeing that your idea is right, but i'm calling it meaningless.
the shipwreck puzzle was so fucking confusing until i realized that it was one of those puzzles where the symmetric line is invisible. i found that so late in the game that when i just happened to come across the symmetry puzzles which i almost had done first, because i was looking for environmentals, I saw the invisible symmetric line puzzles and slammed my head into the wall.

>i'm agreeing that your idea is right, but i'm calling it meaningless.

This is the dumbest thing I've ever read. And I don't watch trailers, so I have no idea what they were about.

>you are right. yes. you would always be right if you said that because everything LOOKS like something else.
how is that dumb? maybe its dumb if by dumb you mean elementary, yeah. then you're right again!
what in the world gave you any idea of what the witness was, then? idiot ecelebs? you don't think you're a little smarter than those leeches?
just get it and refund it if you don't like it. you'll get an idea of that within an hour.

good game , pretentious as all hell tho
goty ? nope

No, really. What are you even arguing? I said it looked lazy. You agreed with me, and yet you're very, very upset. What are you trying to convey, and why do you want me to play this game so badly?

i'm upset because you refuse to play it. if you liked the talos principle, you WILL like this game.
If you did not like the talos principle, i am sorry for assuming that you did because of the analogy you made.
i'm not trying to argue with you. i'm trying to understand why you wouldnt give yourself 40+ hours of enjoyment even though the game was literally on sale for half price a few days ago.

>Even if you don't like this game you have to admit you like it because I do.

Get over yourself.

Link me to the post where I said I refused to play it.

>sound puzzles
>horse shit
>ridiculous
Why don't you guys have some humility and say that you sucked at solving them instead of implying the problem is with how they're designed? I'm colorblind and had to use logic and notes to beat some of the color puzzles but I don't call them "bullshit" because it's MY deficiency.

>light up all the wires in the town except the first floor that connects to that door with the vines
>can't solve the puzzle
>open up that other building
>OOOH GLASS
>still can't solve it
>well there's other shit in this building
>go downstairs
>sound puzzle with no sound
>spend literally like 30 minutes solving through trial and error
>go upstairs
>oh colored light this probably help with that door
>the hardest two panels in the whole fucking game
>nothing happens
>spend another 30 minutes looking around
>pass the door again
>just didn't realize they were couple suns not normal color shapes
>solve it in a minute

>Doing the challenge, get a good layout for the labyrinth puzzle, making amazing time
>Get to the columns
>[HALL OF THE MOUNTAIN KING INTENSIFIES]
Those fucking column puzzles, man.

So what you're saying is that is right.

Can't you beat this game in 5 minutes? Isn't there some secret passage in the intro sequence?

This feels like a shill thread.

Not so fast, kiddo.

this game literally blew my dick off when I realized there AREN'T JUST PANEL PUZZLES

HOLY SHIT

You get a secret ending, yeah.
Anyone who considers that "beating the game" might be missing the point of puzzle games, though.

I love how the secret ending makes the game pretentiousless.

>That audio diary in the caves where the island admins discuss concerns about coming off as pretentious with all of the quote tapes
I laughed.

youtube.com/watch?v=-yMw0l26Jvs

this is really fucking trippy and I don't know why but it makes me uneasy

like the whole game it's just assumed that the only puzzles are in the panels and then suddenly you can interact with the environment

what the fuck

What's the first song?
Also, is there a purpose to the panels that change to the music? They become solvable as the ITHotMK is ending so I thought I was going to have to do them and was surprised when the door opened after I solved the columns.

>suddenly
You could always interact with the environment as long as there's a circle and line shape. There's literally 100+ extra puzzles based around it.

The whole game is about proving assumptions wrong and going back and figuring out shit.

what the fuck is this shit, looks garbage

This.
