When will it be Banjo's time to shine again?
When will it be Banjo's time to shine again?
Did it ever really shine to begin with?
i want to fuck kazooie
Young Banjo for Microsoft HoloLens
never, the banjo team is disbanded from Rare and making Yooka Laylee
There's already a Banjo-Kazooie rom hack out, expect more as Banjos Backpack improves
Never going to happen.
Never, unless somehow the studio making Yooka-Laylee gets rights to Banjo.
What did he mean by this
Uh oh....
HE
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning 2
Screencap this.
Donkey Kong 64 Part II
Grabbed by the Twolies
Fucking hell don't jinx it you cunt.
Never. Shit's dead and buried.
Nigger, are you retarded?
Soon.
All I can say is, they're having an adventure on the "seas"
so they're dlc for sea of thieves?
Not DLC
GRABBED BY THE GHOULIES IS SHIT ASS FUCK ASS GARBAGE FUCK YOU
Yes it did, you contrarian dingaling.
Playing tooie on xbone right now
This game is so perfect, hasnt aged at all
Yooka Laylee's success and the new 3D Mario going back to 64 style exploration will push Microsoft to make a real Banjo game
This is the most objectively correct response.
The atmosphere in Atlantis is amazing
>using Kazooie as a base instead of Tooie
Yes, a Banjo game without the Banjo team from the first two games
Just what I want
> tfw yooka laylee bombs like Mighty no. 9
If they made it would suck
GUH HUH
>remove Nuts & Bolts from canon
>restart from where Tooie left off
>bring back Mecha Grunty
and I'm sold
Nah, Playtonic is made up of people that actually know what they're doing
No reason to remove Nuts and Bolts. It was just bland and weird, not horrible.
Obviously Microsoft would contact Playtonic. They ain't dumb
If anything I'd be looking forward to jokes about how shitty it was. they could treat it like how community does its gas leak season
MUUUUH
NOSTALGIIAAAAA
Stop posting this dumb muslim bitch.
>Microsoft pays a Playtonic a shit load to finally make Banjo-Threeie nuts n bolts never happened
>Keep the new designs, I liked them.
I would buy an XB1 the same day as the trailer release.
Kazooie's the better game
>micro$hit reply to Crash Remasters
is Banjo Threeie and remasters of Kazooie and Tooie
Stop buying nostalgia shit, then. You're literally killing the entire entertainment industry.
NYUH HUH
Does rare or microsoft own the rights to banjo?
>wanting more video games is bad.
>DLC and seasons passes
>multiplayer focus
>narrative prioritization
>gameplay simplifying and homogenization
>massive budgets that makes everyone play it safe
>somehow these aren't killing the industry but wanting 3D platformers is.
hopefully never. Gay video games for lil kid
>They ain't dumb
Kinect
I never played a Banjo game
They have that new guy up top now though. He's been making some pretty OK decisions. Like not trying to push kinect so fucking hard
Fair point.
But the Kinect was a huge success.
>Complain about playing it safe
>While begging for sequels/remakes/remasters of games from over a decade ago
Yeah. Totally taking risks. No one's doing this one. Yup.
Technically Rare
but since Microsoft bought Rare, by extension, Microsoft can do what they want with Banjo.
It's been so long since we've had platformers that one coming out today is considered a risk.
that's not addressing anything the last post stated you butthurt mongoloid
You should user. They were fun.
>Literally platformers like cuphead being shown off at the biggest gaming events of the year.
>Still whine for some mediocre N64 game that wasn't even that popular in it's time.
MUUHHHHH
NOSTALGIAAAAA
Classics, both of them
all three of them if you count Grunty's Revenge on GBA, which was surprisingly solid
Cuphead is 2D, not even remotely similar, retard.
That's correct.
I like it 'cause it's fun and nostalgic to me. I want another. Yooka Laylee looks enjoyable, but I've very little sentimentality towards the concept.
When you boil it down, I just want another Banjo game that looks and plays exactly how the ones I owned as a sniveling little child did.
I assume that Emulation is fine by now?
And then you'll think it's shit and come to whine about it on Sup Forums because, as it turns out with all things nostalgia, it wont live up to how you viewed it as a child who was experiencing it for the first time, and with much lower standards.
..Which is exactly the problem with all nostalgia bait.
Cuphead, the game you recommended, is nostalgia bait for old cartoons.
That would be true if it weren't a video game. But it is, and it's not built off of some pre-existing IP. The beginning and end of it's 'nostalgia' factor is an art style.
What you're advocating for is for a company to somehow restore your fucking childhood by remaking a video game you played, and somehow having it stand the test of time without having evolved into something different, while contradictingly managing to also somehow be 'fresh'.
Basically, you want the impossible.
>90's platformer thread on Sup Forums
>always within the first 5 posts is a post like this
>NEVER EVER on a M64 thread
hmmmmm really makes you think
That's subjective, mechanically Tooie is just the better engine with more tools to work with, better performance, tighter controls, and more options. There's no valid reason to build off Kazooie.
Kazooie was probably easier to hack
>it's not built off of some pre-existing IP.
Doesn't matter, it's still inspired by old 2D action platformers.
There's a glut of 2D action platformers, and there are hardly any quality 3D platformers today.
You're just whining about Banjo because it's not your preferred flavor of nostalgia bait.
You can't have nostalgia for something that didn't even exist beforehand.
This is reaching that's so tremendous you need a ladder.
Jolly roger lagoon is the second worst level in the game
pretty soon probably
the battle of the remakes has started for 2017, if it lasts long enough we'll get it
dont forget to thank sony
That's your shitty opinion.
The bear has been taken out back of the chemical shed and shot.
There will never be another fun banjo-kazooie game
My advice?
Put all your money into yooka-laylee
I dont think Microsoft is pressured at all to make a collectathon. They know it's a niche following at this point, and they already released Rare Replay
>thinks banjo-kazooie being better is subjective
GG buddy
Banjo-Kazooie was shit anyway :^)
Yep.
Probably never. Microsoft clearly only bought Rare so others could have them.
