If you want to make a Vita thread, just say so. What's your collection look like, fag?
Liam Brown
>hack console >realize it has no games
Jackson Hall
Are the memory cards not ass yet?
Isaiah Murphy
Overpriced memory cards and no games.
Christopher Morgan
Vita games are to console players as console games are to pc players. If they're good, wait for a port.
Jaxon Lewis
Emulator when?
Joshua Rivera
>Want to get it a vita >Most store have their firmware updated to the latest version already V-vita has no games anyway haha.
Charles Bailey
...
Jaxson Young
when the memory cards not overpriced, maybe people will start giving it attention.
Jace Wilson
But user, I bought one a week ago, it'll be arriving on Thursday.
Noah Hall
What's the point? You need a big enough memory card to store all that weebshit, and all the bigger Vita memory cards cost almost as much as the system itself.
Jack Lopez
...
Oliver Garcia
I haven't been paying to Vita for years now but is support still decent or strong? If I get it now should I be worried that games will stop coming out for it soon?
Jace Perry
Most stores in America no longer stock it. Also, every game I cared about was either multiplat on release or made its way to PC later.
Christian Ramirez
>memory cards are proprietary and overpriced as shit >games are big enough you pretty much need one of the two largest sizes at least >system isn't stocked at most stores in the US anymore >minimal western support that casuals would eat up, even the PSP got some later on
Brayden Moore
Alright op, say I'm interested in getting a Vita and it's bullshit memory card. Where should I get one at this point?
From Amazon or Ebay, maybe GameStop? New or Used?
Bentley Hernandez
But user, I want to play Steins;Gate Zero.
Lincoln Moore
How come some are cheaper, like $10, over the internet?
Brody Morales
Not op, but buying memory cards used in general is a very bad idea.
Oliver Phillips
translation has already been copied over to the jap version that doesn't require the update
I'm playing it now
Elijah Torres
If you want to hack it, you'd need to get it used, hacking part is easy, the hard part is that everyone in the hacking community wants to be a special snowflake and are really hard to work with
Lincoln Perez
And I finished the game before you started. Also, that's an odd amount of effort for piracy and the reason that the Vita hasn't hit PSP levels yet off the back of it.
Evan Morgan
Does it really need to be used? I thought Vitas weren't in production in anymore for a while, is there still a chance for them to be above the require firmware?
Liam Taylor
All the good vita games are being ported at neckbreaking speed to Steam, though Some of them being released simultaneously
I don't know about you but I have trouble fitting my ATX mid tower in my pocket.
Logan Williams
>And I finished the game before you started. Uh ok? Not sure why you are bragging about that.
Colton Wood
So then Used PS Vita + New Memory Card is the way to go then?
Carter Perry
>Hasn't moved any units like any other system that gets hacked
But OP, that's literally wrong. It pretty much gutted what little inventory was even left in brick and mortar stores, and hiked the price of the few vendors left on digital sellers for consoles and memory cards.
The problem is that, as far as the west is concerned, Sony had already pretty much discontinued the vita. They were no longer sending inventory to brick and mortar stores, and the ones that still had any stock were liquidating them.
It's literally all Sony's fault, and no one elses. Also the memory cards are retardedly overpriced, and even then have an absurdly high failure rate for what they are, as well as really awful read/write speeds.
Sebastian Allen
I have an old one around, is it easy to hack like 3DS was?
Jayden Myers
The point is that not everybody feels like waiting around for a game to maybe become playable on their cracked console. Until piracy on the Vita is simpler and more reliable for new titles, it's not going to take off. If you can find a Vita in good condition, certainly.
Jace Ortiz
well yeah, most companies sell their new units atr the highest firmware possible, so your only option would be to get it used, or to search for an earlier model which are pretty rare
Leo Lewis
>have to buy horrendously overpriced memory cards to fit said games
Gabriel Adams
I got the PSVita for the sole purpose of it being hacked and I haven't been happier.
>most of its games are multiplat
I'm pretty sure most of its games are best on handhelds.
Nolan Hill
Nowhere near as complicated as the 3DS. You literally just go to a website and it's done. Only thing is you have to reinstall it every time you power down the console.
Eli Cooper
>hasn't moved any units It has no new units
Easton Smith
how do i hack my vita
Oliver Jenkins
>The point is that not everybody feels like waiting around for a game to maybe become playable on their cracked console
Less than a week later there was a patch. You're right with regards to newer titles (can't even think of any newer titles that interest me) though, since this only worked out due to the JP version being on an older PSN update.
Robert Watson
I bought a PSTV, does the hacking work on that?
Jordan Edwards
Update to the latest firmware before Sony patches it next week then go to henkaku.xyz and click install.
Ryan Perez
Because of the proprietary memory card.
Zachary Lopez
Not true. That works on 3.60. Current is 3.63.
Brayden Gray
God fuck. Literally just updated yesterday.
Jaxon Gutierrez
Don't want to get my account banned
Landon Davis
I just did though, I fucking love being able to play Sly Cooper again, and God Eater on the go
Benjamin Miller
Thank fuck I went from PSP to 3DS. I knew it was over the instant MH4 was announced.
Asher Nguyen
i hacked mine but it seems the only thing for it is emulators, which i could already use on my psp and phone. is there something im missing?
William Martin
So it works on latest vita firmware now?. Cool, I'll get a new one this friday then.
Samuel Campbell
Get back to us when we can pirate memory cards
Colton Hall
Is there a CFW in development yet? The only thing holding it back is there's no concrete way to spoof firmware yet.
Landon Peterson
I've got a N3DS and I've got to be honest, it's the most disappointing console I've owned. And I have a PS4 that's been more a USB charger than a console.
Grayson Jenkins
It's bound to be the best hacked handheld at some point. There's just not a big homebrew community like on the 3DS.
My only problem with it is unlike with my PSPGo it has no TV Out and no way to play with a controller unless you use a Vita TV, which I have. Don't know how much of a hassle it is to switch cards between them if they're not on the latest firmware.
false.
>games are big enough you pretty much need one of the two largest sizes at least wrong. 16gb is adequate and costs $35.
excuses. people bought $80 flashcards for the 3ds. people pay $60 for online functionality on their already $60 games. if the price was closer to SD you would just grab the next lazy excuse.
no they don't.
Landon Murphy
FW is already spoofed.
PSN access and new games need more than a simple spoof.
Isaiah Wilson
I think somehow making the PS2 and PS1 and PSP emulators run flawlessly on the Vita would be the perfect afterlife.
Joshua Phillips
>all that weeb shovelware >you still need a proprietary memory card that costs like 10 fucking millions per GB. No, thanks.
Cooper Lewis
Ok. I enter to that website and now what? How do I put games on it?
Dominic Nguyen
BRAIN BLAST
Luke Baker
>people bought $80 flashcards for the 3ds.
Ryan Hall
There is literally not a single retail new Vita console that you can get that is above 3.6
Even the brand new Jap recolors ship with 3.6, while most that are the older ones are on an even lower firmware.
Are you retarded?
Samuel Butler
i have my vita hacked, is there a PSX emulator or a way to get free vita games yet?
>because some people waste their money on stupid shit means I should too! I'm not buying 16 gigs for less than what I could get 64 micro sd card for.
Connor Gray
i'm sure there's nothing you pay for that others would deem a waste of money. i guess there's no point in you being here then.
Henry Fisher
Oh, you meant retards. Sure.
Jaxon Scott
Reminder Vita's cards are equivalent to a Class 2-4 MicroSD.
Thomas Jones
moreover you have to pay $100 to store them
Nathaniel Hughes
Is there any chance of getting your account banned if using online?
Adam Rivera
>All the good vita games are being ported to Steam Except it's with very few exceptions only the WORST Vita/PS3/PS4 games that get ported to Steam.
John Phillips
yes
Brody Cooper
Lol retard
Dylan Richardson
let me know the next obvious thing you need pointed out for you.
Cooper James
What about normal use I don't remember typing the online part, but I got a (you) so it must be mine
Blake Scott
But is sold out you fucking imbecile. How the fuck can people buy more when Asia is getting all the new stocks? Jesus are you fucking retarded, and I donĀ“t even have a Vita.
Jaxon Brown
>still waiting for S;G0 to arrive
who the fuck let rice digital have every vita collectors edition
Christian Collins
I'm dumb
Levi Carter
I didn't really try multiplayer SINCE NOBODY ELSE OWNS ONE but I was able to sync trophies fine and haven't had a problem.
Parker Walker
>No units available since they got all sold >Scalping prices online since high demand >Nobody gives a fuck What did he mean by this?
Benjamin Morgan
Waiting for a fancy new model and then I will wait to see if that is still hackable. I've accepted the memory card will never get cheaper
Ryder White
Hopefully Sony notice the sales spike.
James Richardson
I had one and used it for the only thing it was useful for, remote play, then sold it when a better solution was released.
Julian Lee
If a new special model was made it would most certainly be on the latest firmware. What upcoming game would even warrant one anyway?
Asher Parker
>see this thread >go on ebay >console with memory card for about 90$ shipped everywhere
It's that shitty.
Zachary White
>Vita gets hacked >Mfw I only found out AFTER updating to 3.61
kill me now Sup Forums
Ian Russell
Should I buy a vita? My PSP's battery is dead and finding a decent replacement is impossible. Loved that thing for emulation and PS1 games.
How well can Vita replace it?
Oliver Young
They noticed, they are just pumping out consoles to everywhere that is not the west. Why would they ship their wares to west when they can do so to China, HK, Taiwan and Japan? Almost all my cousins in HK have a Vita now.
Liam Rivera
Fuck, that sucks.
Oh well, at least there's probably gonna be a way, just gonna take some time.
Daniel Wilson
>handheld consoles For what purpose? Phones exist.
Julian Hughes
>All those JAVs of ugly Asian males fucking all those famous western porn stars How did they win in the end anyway?
Josiah Hill
>people bought $80 flashcards for the 3ds. Because the 3DS had games people wanted to play and flash cards use MicroSD.
The Vita does not have games people want to play and it uses a proprietary memory format that costs far more than microSDs for far less storage space.
Adrian Martin
The Vita is still so fucking expensive and you still have to buy an overpriced proprietary memory card for it.
It isn't worth it. I'm just going to wait for Vita emulation at this point.
Connor Lee
Uhh Dangan Ronpa 3 , SRW,fate extella? I dunno man, it might be Japan only if it does happen
Charles Foster
The only reason I would consider a vita is for Otoges because I'm a faggot. And that SAO game because princess holding.
Jack Wright
Shitposting is free, or did you buy the pass too?
Michael Morris
Same >every time a thread about Vita hack discussion pops up it's "nah, forget it, no one cares about vita, it's scene is dead nogames anyway and blah blah" >impatiently waiting on DQB and Stranger of Sword City >update to get demos >it's fucking hacked already Fucking shit. And apparently it's dead again and no one cares about 3.61 or anything else, so i've missed my only train
Andrew Robinson
It's literally not for sale in my country anymore because nobody wanted it.
Lucas Stewart
>It's bound to be the best hacked handheld at some point Switch says hello
Luke Myers
I'd buy one used if it had a SD card slot, I'm not too keen on giving a single penny to Sony.
Caleb Moore
> Bought one, plus some games, loved it > Played through a bunch of games, plus remasters, loved them > Sony abandons it, mentions it literally zero times during E3 > Realized that the only new games coming out were indies that ran better on my PC or weebshit that I don't have any interest in > Sold it
I think there are a lot of people out there who have a remarkably similar story to mine
