Found this in my closet. Never played it. Is it worth my time?

Hell yeah man. Just do all the sidequests to get the level 1 power/wisdom/courage abilities and you'll be good. Level 2 ones are dope as well but require a bit more time.
If you've never played a DS LoZ game, you control movement with the touchscreen and swing by swiping.
yeah
how come you never played it dont you own it?
the game came out years ago
Holy shit no. Worst Zelda. Don't listen to these guys. They were probably 9 when they played it.
Got a few problems, but it's mostly alright.
>muh ocean king temple
Worst Zelda.
Shit graphics, shit controls, shit level design, shit music, shit gameplay.
But somehow Spirit Tracks is worse.
>Is it worth my time?
No, it's really dull (the music, the world and all) and the touchscreen shit is horrible.
A character even mocks people who would prefer to use the dpad instead.
>it has literal on rails overworld because Aonuma's son likes trains
Holy shit.
Holy shit, this.
Fuck, remember I almost couldn't finish ST because of some glitch that made the mic not work during one of the mandatory duet.
But Spirit Tracks looked like the comfiest, but is it that bad?
It's my least favorite Zelda I've played, but it does do a few cool things with the touch pad such as charting a path on the ocean and drawing maps of the islands Link visits.
The worst comes from the Phantom Hourglass itself. You use it to traverse a place called the Temple of the Ocean King to advance the story at certain points. Just to list off a few grievances I had with this place:
>Every visit is a timed stealth mission
>Invincible enemies who cut your time when they hit you
>Only get to fight back on the very last run through the place
>Forced to redo the same puzzles on each floor over and over again just to get a little bit deeper the next time
Granted there are some safe zones in the temple where the timer stops and the enemies can't see Link and the items you collect can speed up the puzzle process by opening shortcuts, but the monotony and repetition of redoing the earliest puzzles so many times took its toll on my enjoyment.
If you do decide to play it and dislike the Temple of the Ocean King early on, just know that it only gets worse the more you play. It's a real shame PH is a sequel to the Windwaker since WW ended on such a high note.
FUCK NO
do I fit in yet???
Play it yourself, don't ask online. I quite enjoyed it, but some people don't. Play it for a few hours, make up your mind, and then move on or keep going
I liked it alot back in 2008, but i played it again recently and i had to stop after the first dungeon. I dont know if the game aged really REALLY poorly or if it was always this bad, but it feels unplayable. You couldnt pay me to play through that game again
It gets hated on for no reason.
It's fun, with some really rewarding puzzles if you figure them out.
I enjoyed it, but the main temple is pretty tedious.
Not terrible but piss poor as far as Zelda goes.
No
I bought it as a child and was so disappointed I stopped playing games until university.
I wish I was joking, it's that bad.
Yes, but only so you can play Spirit Tracks afterwards and see how great it is compared to PH
It gets hated on for repetitive stealth sections that take 20+ minutes everytime. It's got wind wakers graphics but lacks wind wakers charm.
>It gets hated on for no reason.
People like it for no reason.
Oh wait, it has Zelda in the name.
I liked it.
Stylus controls is not easy getting used to but I thought it was really fun.
Yeah it made me stop playing zelda completely. Or I just grew up after. I dunno
Listen OP, despite the fact that there is one dude in this thread who thinks hating the game is a meme and he really loves it and it saved his life or some stupid garbage, listen to the vocal majority.
Yes, it has the facets of a good zelda game. But both it and Spirit Tracks are plagued with poor design decisions and tedious gameplay. It still has the characters of wind waker, but the world is boring, the dungeons are uninteresting, and ultimately both games revolve around and incredibly boring gimmick.
You know spirit tracks existed right?
This game is pretty shitty honestly. It is one of the worst if not the worst zelda game. The only reason you should play it is for historical purposes .
>listen to us, we're right. Don't formulate your own opinion
He asked for our opinion you braindead mongoloid.
Having to do the same really(!) shitty dungeon again and again, only slightly longer each time. takes a huge dump on this game.
If you can get over that, it's your standard Zelda with cool bosses, a few sidequests and solid dungeons.
Controls aren't nearly as bad as people claim, guess it just became a meme due to a vocal few, including incompetent journalists, that apparently would murder themselves while trying to use an eggbeater.
Same applies to Spirit Tracks, only switch out the worst dungeon ever chore with a slightly less shitty version and add a retarded train travel mechanic on top of that.
