Post GOAT tier boss fights

Here is another one: youtube.com
It felt so fucking hype seeing two powerful masks duking it out while you duke it out with your arch nemesis
FUCKING HYPE
The final duel with Exdeath is my favorite FF final boss.
youtube.com
It was until they killed me in the crossfire.
Big Arm from Sonic 3, for being a simple boss fight in comparison to the other final battles of the 2D games, was pretty great especially with that glitch that let it hurt Super Sonic
Link dat shit nigga
Will do.

Exdeath is such a fucking amazing villain but I wish his original form got more fleshed out than just being a "Birth of evil" kind of thing since the tree was originally a man.
>Duel
>4 vs 1
Well it's the player vs Exdeath.
Was he though? I thought he was always like a humanoid tree thing.
They call him a tree before you first encounter him.
>Always played Crash with my pops
>He thought N Tropy was saying "YOU LITTLE SKANK" and couldn't stop laughing
I'm glad that he wasn't as casual as I was and beat the Bear missions in Crash 2 for me
R.I.P. N Tropy
From what I recall in FFV advance he's the Reborn spirit of a Sorcerer-King(Who was also a Superboss) who was buried and slowly became that tree and had several criminals and evil buried near it that empowered him to become Exdeath.
Pretty sure Enuo the sorcerer is a different person altogether.
You haven't lived till you experience walters betrayal.
>I'll end it thus!
>Agi
>Minotaur smirks
>Party Dead
I like the one with zeromus more
it's tougher, and the moment when your former party memebers cheer you on is probably one of my favourite FF moments
back on topic, pic related
Yeah but I didn't feel any connection to Zemus/Zeromus at all.
To this day I don't know if I'm supposed to hate Golbeza or Zemus.
I think Exdeath is still a combination of the souls that were buried near or before the tree started growing since so many villains were buried there.
Exdeath is the rebirth of Enuo, after the latter was sealed and buried in Moore forest. Hence his lust for the Void and all of his power.
Exdeath is very much a tree, and he probably takes a humanoid appearance because it makes it easier to move around than being a tree, and possibly due to some ancestral memory of being Enuo (who presumably WAS a human).
Although I say humanoid because he's fully clad in that huge armor that covers his entire body, so we don't really see or know what he looks like WITHOUT the armor. Maybe inside the armor is all tree or something.
One of my favorites in the series, and that's saying a lot because I've always really enjoyed CV bosses.
Inside that armor, user, is evil.
Castlevania bosses are fucking great, especially when they're unexpected of what you expect them to be.
*guitar riffs*
who else is hoping that they up the difficulty for the bosses?
Julius in Aria is actually probably my all time favorite. What an awesome subversion. That new version of Heart of Fire that plays during it kicks ass too.
Evil certainly knows fucking cool armor. Although it occurs to be that Golbez and Exdeath both source their armor from the same place, apparently.
Boss fights are too video gamey. I prefer a nice cinematic QTE
>1,000 years ago Enuo, an immortal wizard, traded his immortality for control over the Void. With the power of nothingness under his control, he wreaked havoc across Planet R. Eventually he was defeated by the power of the twelve Sealed Weapons and consumed by the Void. The Void was contained in the Interdimensional Rift, and the Crystals of element that sustain the world were split into two so the world itself would split as well.
>A common misconception is that Enuo was sealed in the tree that later became Exdeath. This is not supported by any information given in-game about Enuo, and contradicts statements from non-playable characters in the Phantom Village that Enuo was consumed by the Void.
Taken from the wikia so I'm not sure.
I sure hope so. Was there any difficult boss in the original Crash trilogy?
Unironically, this
youtu.be
...
Komodo bros were a fucking nightmare, but it can be even more challenging, like the big guy would throw swords from the beginning of the fight.
>fights that you can't lose in video games
in that shit heap of a game genocide sans was far better.
>Ally fights their own nemesis as you battle your own
Why don't more games do this?
>falling through the air
>using an axe so you can still hit the shit out of him
huehuehue
Neo Exdeath is 4 vs. 4 if you count the fact he has four different targets that have to be destroyed that also attack independently.
While they're not as great as the EBIN MAYMAYS would have you think, the bosses in MGR are definitely the highlight of the game.
I'd love to extend that statement to the rest of the franchise too but the MGS bosses have sadly been always hit or miss.
fuckin gergtoth
I had issues with him as a kid, really wasn't so bad once you got the pattern down
the jump attack was what always got me, I wouldn't slide fast enough and get clipped by his fat fucking cankles
I both love and hate this boss fight
I know it's a typical trope but it's a hype as fuck one when done right
UKA UKA is hyped up to be a big bad evil from the beginning and having aku aku counterbalance him while you face off against Cortex is beautiful.
Why dont you link some you fucking double nig nogging peanut butter shigger
Err....I'm sorry? Link what? The music? Gameplay vids?
i need to play this game
