Get the S, pick up TMCC (Buy the ODST DLC), pick up HaaH WaaW/Reach (they're back compat and have been patched), skip Halo 4 and Halo 5s campaign, and keep anniversary graphics off for CE. Them trade it in and get a PS4 if you haven't, my advice.

And they have them. 99% of people are either console users or a PC user. MS doesn't care about losing exclusives since PS4 doesn't have them and PC users weren't gonna get an Xbone to buy them anyway.
Honestly, I would buy an Xbox 360 and play through them all on there. MCC fucks ups a lot of little things like the sound design and the music in Halo 2A. Spending time in the menus of the original games will give you nostalgia later. Play the MCC later for MP and achievements if you want.

I meant PS4 doesn't have Xbones exclusives like Forza/KI etc. Xbone has lots next year, 3 new exclusive Scorpio IPs (2 of which are AAAs), HaaH WaaW 2, State of Decay 2, Sea of Thieves, Voodo Vince, Phantom Dust, Crackdown, Cuphead, Below, Scalebound and presumably a new Forza. I'm probably missing a couple too.

It is. They're just games specifically designed around the Scorpio as show pieces, one of which is rumoured to be Fallout VR. Phil said on Twitter they're to show off the Scorpios power, while showing how cross gen play will effectively work.
Might just grab one if it has exclusives that I like besides Voodoo Vince. I am a PS fan mainly but kinda butthurt about the whole mods fiasco that sony shit the bed with.
