Anyone who owns this know if we can edit every band position or just the instruments we own? I only have Mic and guitar and I can only make characters and set characters for those, no drums and what not

Yeah, you can. In career mode there's a "manage band" screen where you can pick a character to be a standin for each instrument slot. The last band you selected in career will be shown in any other mode
For a band, sure. You can make and edit every character. In quick play, no. Pretty much what you need to do is make a new character and then whenever you edit your band, you choose the character you made.
So I can add all the characters I made for each spot?
The band you setup in career mode persists in quickplay. It doesn't matter since the character creation in this game is fucking shit compared to 3 anyways.
It works in quickplay too, once you set the stand ins they'll show in any mode. It only changes if you go back to career and pick a different band, and when you have an actual player signed into an instrument it'll repalce the stand in with their character.
Aw fuck they never fixed it? I was hoping they would have with all of the patches and big expansion
>tfw all the new DLC is just very recent pop songs that aren't even proper multi-tracks
JUST
Anyone who has the blood sex sugar magik album on PSN wanna sell me their account?
>the expansion is half the price of the game and barely adds any content
>online play is locked behind this expansion
Can you change the position of the highways on screen? Like if I as a drummer is sitting on left I get my highway on the left and guitar on right or reversed?
Depends on player port
Too bad Harmonix is a piece of shit and online play won't include 1v1 battles just faggot co-op quickplay
newest DLC includes a song that was on-disc in RB2. #wow #woah
I want to cut them some slack because they're practically indie-tier now, but they haven't really done anything to make me want to trust them or buy their products. It's taken over a year for me to finally get my Boston and Dead Kennedys songs, and I still don't have the kickass RB2 bonus tracks.
Since you can't export RB2 into RB4 anymore, re-releasing songs is good for the folks who missed it.
The 20 free pack? I have it on PSN, not sure on xbone though
Nah, the inhouse bands like Bang Camaro and That Handsome Devil.
>Keyboard track being played on guitar
Oh, you happen to remember the names of the songs? I want to check if I have them
I don't know about PSN, but Xbox for sure hasn't had them because the majority of these songs were used as a preorder bonus for RB4.
>>Effect switch no longer working due to HMX not using master recordings anymore
>scee still doesnt have imports for RB2, Lego, any of the disc packs etc
>Scea has them all
it made smokin' a top tier song to play on guitar
There used to be a keyboard controller for Rock band, Its gone now.
Rock Band 4 kind of feek like one step forward seven steps back.
Damn that sucks I don't have them either
>we don't see male or female characters in our games, which is why your female bassist won't swap roles with your male vocalist when you play a song with a girl singer.
why the fuck am i region-locked out of decent songs?
(russfag here)
i guess I'd have to make a eurofag account just to play through the all-star and numb
Just play Rocksmith.
Guitar Hero Live was a much better game. It's a shame there's no real option to buy DLC songs though, I won't spend a cent on that GHTV bullshit.
They're in serious financial trouble cause no one wants to play their game anymore lmao
Wait you can't???? What if I exported RB1 into 2, and 2 into 3?
Did you have to export it AGAIN into 4?
FUCK I haven't bought RB4 yet.
On ANYTHING anymore or just some songs?
That's bullshit, there's no reason to buy DLC if its not master tracks.
If you already exported it, you're good
It's only if people missed out on it before it expired (like me) who are screwed
You're thinking of GHL
>skrillex in the on-disc content
you fucking kidding me?
It's not like Smokin ever had keyboard support anyway since it came out in RB1 days
This is the closest you can get
youtube.com
Nope, RB4 has been doing that with a ton of its 2010's pop DLC
Also did it for Africa
Oh thank god.
My guitar on 360 is broken and they're impossible to find and the drums will die eventually. I only want RB4 to be able to play all my old songs with new instruments. I can't be fucked to buy an Xbone right now though
Better than this week's DLC which is fucking Twenty One Pilots
I wanted to get that $100 band kit for the PS4 but it sold out before I heard about it. Mostly I just want some drums because the only set I ever had were the PS3 RB1 drums that don't work in the newer games.
the RB1 drums sucked ass
I must have gone through at least 3 of them
then I spent a bit more cash and got the RB2 beatles set, still work fine today
>rock band 4 fucked up the setlist
>guitar hero live fucked up the setlist even worse
Why is every rhythm game these days tainted by millenials?
It really is too bad they shit the bed so hard with 4 and the PC version crowdfunding effort failed. If they could have simply ported 3 over it would have been fine but they've shrank so much since then I guess that was impossible.
Poor Harmonix. They had a helluva run.
Rock Band 4's setlist isn't subpar because of the new pop songs (which only consists of Centuries and Uptown Funk, two ok songs), it's all the trash indie shit like V-Bomb, the country songs, and that garbage selection for U2's rhythm game debut
Some of the indie stuff is actually really good t b h.
Guitar Hero Live's setlist was a fucking mistake though.
They were probably pretty limited both by what they haven't already used in previous games/dlc and what they can afford to license. Harmonix is tiny now and don't have a fraction of the resources they had in their heyday.
Honestly if they ported RB3 to new consoles with a new setlist I would have been 100000% okay with that.
I don't think affording the licenses for songs was ever the issue, it's just that some artists and labels are hard to work with.
We're not getting any more Metallica or any Led Zeppelin ever because of that.
It's also embarrassing that the remaining staff was literally consulting custom DLC charters on how to chart vocals and other things.
