>JRPG with a highly political plot spend an entire game building up to a civil war that's been heavily foreshadowed throughout the series, and is a major turning point in the world's politics due to one of its sides being led by an aggressive expansionist
>motivation given for the final boss/dungeon is "if this building keeps glowing then the school festival will be cancelled!!!! WE HAVE TO SAVE THE SCHOOL FESTIVAL GUISE"
Fuck Cold Steel
Is the game good?
>snip snap level
>Middle of a war
>"Hey guys let's go to the beach!"
Honestly it's only a 7/10. Doesn't improve the combat from its predecessors, dumbs down the magic system more than any other sequel I can think of ever has dumbed down any system (that's including Skyrim gutting all the RPG elements), game lasts way too long, all of the Celdic chapter and everything in the old schoolhouse other than discovering Valimar and Rean using his edge mode is pointless filler, the game otherwise drags on too long, and the game ends on a bullshit cliffhanger.
>America totally didn't do this in WW2
what jrpgs do this that arent persona 3 and 4
Trails in the Sky

Most jrpg's with a highschool setting
Well, that was an obvious answer.
It's not a chapter in Sky, it's just like 5% of one chapter as an excuse to put a fuccboi in a dress. They make up for it in SC when you get to go back there amd liberate it from an Ouroboros occupation with Kurt and Anelace.
ive played a lot, but i seriously am at a loss
i guess i havent played many made after ps2
What game is that image from?

#FE most rec
Do you really think they had the same soldiers on the front lines for the entirety of WW1 or 2?
P4 school festival is pretty great though.
>hotsprings
Only thing more shameless than beach episodes
> protag walk female bath then funny scream xD
I like it. CS1 sets up the sequel where the real big things happen. It might not be for eveyone but I really like the tranquil parts in Trails games.
I like it, it makes me nostalgic of my own school festivals.
