Obviously, the games aren't solely about those two locations, you go outside them for story-related reasons, but for the most part these two cities are where you spend most of your time.
Camden Reyes
Nowhere.
MD was a failure.
Ayden Bennett
What makes you say that?
Jaxon Long
The fact that literally no one has talked about this game.
Luis Sullivan
Except A) that was hardly true B) things that this board actually talk about have very little to do with success or failure of a game. This place is a shithole primarily populated by certifiably insane cretins desperately seeking drama. MD offered little potential for literal shitstorms, which is why nobody talks about it. Not really necessarily related to the actual sales that define success of a game.
Ayden Thompson
I honestly wouldn't know how much people have talked about it when it came out. I only played it recently when it got cracked.
Jackson Jones
I wasn't refering only to Sup Forums. 1 week after this game came out no one was talking about it and it was getting a shitload of bad reviews.
The only threads Sup Forums made about this game were crying about denuvo.
Owen Hill
Thats a good thing. V only makes threads talking shit about shit games or how PC will never ever Bloodborne. The fact MD gets no threads is a positive.
Julian Reyes
But that's wrong. And thinking that here's any correlation between sales and how much it gets talked about on Sup Forums is mindbogglingly stupid I don't even know how to begin to explain to you exactly how retarded the notion is.
Should I go about to prove how you're simply wrong? Give you reasons as why you're wrong? Try to understand why you would think that and work from there?
My head hurts just thinking about it.
Parker Gutierrez
>Next game You serious OP? Deus Ex had it's chance and they fucked it up. HR was it's only saving grace, MD was a fucking disaster.
Eli Thomas
Square Enix cut up a game into three pieces.
Mankind Divided was just the first of those three.
Liam Torres
I admire your optimism but Deus Ex is not getting another sequel.
I don't actually admire your optimism
Dominic Ward
Back to Hong Kong we go! Would like to see a Prague-sized Hong Kong hub.
Brayden Ross
What optimism? It's curiosity, more than anything else. I just wonder what other city they could use for another game and which ones would Sup Forums actually prefer.
Cameron Reyes
What part of "I wasn't refering only to Sup Forums " do you not understand?Sup Forums's opinion doesn't matter and BARELY influences the sales.
This game was a complete failure, no one is playing it and the one who are find it shit. The sheep are only buying it because it's called "Deus Ex" and because their favorite Youtuber played it.
You're welcome to prove me wrong on how this game is not a failure.
Daniel Turner
The cities in the first three games were completely disconnected from the stories the games told, so I don't see the point in choosing what is effectively the coloured back-drop to a completely seperate event.
Bentley Taylor
>HR was better than MD meme Spotted the guy that never played either of those.
Cameron Phillips
what was MD's china location?
Cameron Jackson
Singapore, with excursions into the Australian war zones and the Himalayas
Evan Hall
why no deus ex in straya? it could be cool to have futuretech in a desert country without it being post apocalyptic, and you can have missions in adjacent jungles and shit
Owen Brooks
bullshit, reindustrialized Detroit sitting on the legacy of 70 years of gang warfare was a believable place despite being an unlikely contrast of modernization and extreme poverty, high tech in dilapidated buildings and violence in what should be clean and well patrolled streets because of it's history. it would have been an unrealistically dystopian story in any other city, but there it just made sense.
Luis Howard
And did the fact that Adam could walk out of the Detroit police station and rub shoulders with both the extremely poor and extremely wealthy for the sake of side quests and continuing the story not bother you at all?
Mason Morales
no, I just said it made perfect sense because of the setting. the city got rich but the ghetto doesn't just go away, so it's become an american mexico, or to choose a roughly equivalent city Mumbai, where fabulous hotels and skyscrapers are across the street from slums without doors and rags for windowpanes.
Carson Brooks
could be based on the civil war thing in DX straya
Cooper Brooks
>I have no idea what Australia is like
Christopher Thompson
Rio in Max Payne 3 did the same rich and poor storyline but that's not to say that it would've made a good Deus Ex setting, but I don't feel like Detroit is the be-all-end-all of lady and the tramp style stories.
Nathan Jones
>Australia >jungles
Asher Foster
I want Hong Kong, Hengsha or whatever Blade Runner-esque city to sandbox around in. Prague was fucking awful and barely felt cyberpunk at times.
Matthew Gonzalez
I wish we had something like Golem City as the main base.
