Who here /not creative at all/?

>Raises hand

>enchanted sword
lucky fuck

Pretty background

Is it really that rare? I also got it last time I played, and 24 damage isn't all that great..

>fighting Plantera for the first time, expecting to be wiped out
>destroy her in under a minute
My overkill strategy has been working nicely so far.

There's 1 per map. Hidden in a random background piece that looks like every other background piece.

Considering he got that instead of the far superior Arkhalis, yeah not really lucky.

It's the best pre-hardmode melee weapon in the game my famalan.

Arkhalis can only appear on the extremely rare sword shrines, and even then there's like a 1/10 chance you get it. Enchanted Sword can appear anywhere. It's also better honestly.

I'm not creative at all but I'm not THAT bad.

Isn't it spawned only in a few worlds? I got mine from a shrine deep into a giant livingwood tree. There are also dummy enchanted swords you can find every now and then that disappear when you try to get them.

That's a lot of buffs

>600 hp

what are potions

who cares, you defeat wall of flesh in a few days and after that its outclassed by a ton of weapons

Arkhalis can be acquired from the same shrine iirc, and hits super hard insanely fast. I'm using it in an expert playthrough and it's still carrying its weight into hard mode.

Step 1: Build 2 really tall walls
Step 2: Build a few Platform Boxes for compactly holding your servants
Step 3: Get all the Building tools and whatever you want to build with
Step 4: Build things
Step 5: Build hellevators on each side of base and reinforce walls with 2-3 thick walls of (insert metal block)
Step 6: Move everyone in and tear down your commieblocks

>Build a few Platform Boxes for compactly holding your servants
explain

As far as pure melee playthroughs go, it's the best you can get for general purpose before hardmode.

Sword shrines are the ones that you can spot from the surface of the world, only those can spawn the Arkhalis, they can also spawn an Enchanted Sword. But the Enchanted Sword can also be found randomly in caverns.

>using potions for easy bosses
Of course its going to work, the only boss somewhat problematic is the final one in expert, the rest are just easy as fuck.

2 of these can hold literally every pre-hardmode NPC who can move in and one more can hold all hardmode NPCs (if in a Mushroom biome) including Santa.

According to the wiki that doesn't work anymore?

...

Several old ones don't work, but this one still does as of 1.3
And last I checked it didn't get fixed in 1.4.

Much prefer Starfury

you've hit the nice intersection of function and form. It looks nice but doesn't make you seem super autistic

Now that's a comfy looking house.

That is pretty fucking creative, user.

Sometimes I get a good idea but never do it because it would take too much time or effort, I need to be less lazy.

>Slime house
That's really small, but cute.
I would've made it one large room, maybe 3-10 times that size and filled with platforms I set stuff on.

Post Dirt Huts!

Which is better: Terraria or Starbound?

Terraria by far.
Starbound could have been great, may be good in a few years with plenty of content updates, but it's not.

>tfw thought it was a teapot house that was pouring out a slime house, looking at the thumbnail
Well that was disappointing.

what's that above the dresser

>This
I bought that game and played it for like three days and returned it because all I did was build a wooden shack and my brother had built a castle type thing, with followers. Fuck I hate being a loser

that is a terrarium with a golden worm inside

Well, I know what I'm making for my next house.
>A slime trying to form into a solid mass outside a teapot, but because it's in the Snow Biome, it's frozen, stuck to the pot

And that's a great idea, going to make that as soon as my friend and I can make slime blocks.

Starbound is too convulted. Terraria you can pick up and play knowing nothing at all.

I fail in absolutely every video game that extensively requires creativity

please help me

Or even better
>a slime being sucked into a tuba
Can you imagine what that would be like?

Haha.
No, fuck you. Tuba Vore's retarded.

Bumping this user for a cure to my issue

Terraria doesn't require creativity to play, just Autistic grinding. The building aspect is more or less optional if you get good enough at the game.

I stole the design from google images :^)

>start playing
>wall of flesh is next
>people talk stuff about spreadng corrution in hardmode that I have to prepare for
>too lazy to do that
>need to upgrade base
>too lazy to do that
>need to reorganize items
>too lazy again
>quit
Fun game, but my attention span can't handle the autism.

Working on a skyfort for when I go Hardmode.

Gonna extend it down with a nice themed forge and lab area.

What happened to /tg/?

Dang I thought it was a KAG tower from the thumbnail.

What are you even talking about?

I really miss old KAG

avoid boxes, or at least dress them up with other shapes, also use varied materials, think how they interact with other materials and try to make it semi believable by using supports and 'stronger' materials like stone for pillars, wood for beams etc

Shit, last time I checked /vg/, the general was barely alive and didn't had more than 150+ replies.

Is it even worth it to start hardcore mode off the bat? I've tried a couple times now and just end up down a hole or underestimating enemies.

fuck i miss this game, it was simply so damn good and i had acquired insane skills

what happened to the community after the game got out of beta? i never bothered to buy it

>you will never shieldbomb and fly half of the map away then drop your last bomb on the base of the enemy's tower, destroying it and killing 10 dudes

Did the community die or did the devs put out a bad balance patch that broke the game or something?

I thought about buying this because some gameplay videos looked really neat but is it even worth playing nowadays?

I stopped playing after my favorite classic server died so I don't know
I only remember that the major change before I left was that knight's couldn't be able to slowly destroy stone blocks so knight rush wave wasn't as strong as before

>love theme park games
>not good making theme park rides
>not good at theming my parks

JUST

I just logged in classic now and it looks dead
I never played the new version though so I can't know

I try hard but everytime is just a square ugly shit with alot of rooms.

I cant just git gud at terraria building.

Ouch. Really loved the concept but I stopped playing during beta too because my latency was too high for most servers.

i am so uncreative, that i played this game for 6 minutes, didnt know what to do, and uninstalled.

I like to build commie blocks
I lived in one after all

>all those buffs
>those platforms
That better be expert mode

>corruption/crimson and hallow spreading
Oh fuck.
I downloaded TEdit and spent hours creating L-shaped tunnels of appropriate width as soon as the V stripe spawned in my main, first world, as well as tunnels blocking the initial crimson that popped upon the initial world generation. Despite having perfectly contained pockets that I can let and want to grow wild, I kinda wish I let the world fuck itself and simply live in a floaty fortress.
