You want to know when most companies really get their shit together? When they truly fuck up. SFV was a massive blunder for Capcom, one they are still trying to recover from.

Infinite can't be as bad as SFV, Capcom can't afford that. They need this shit to be good.

I honestly like the new systems a lot, based on what we've seen, and don't mind no X-Men at all. I'm very interested in it right now.

Infinite, unlike every other Fighter they've made in the past ~15 years (SFIV, SFV, MvC3, UMvC3, SFxT, TvC, etc.) is being made in-house and has devs from early Vs series games on it.

They also made a point to say that the game will be "content-rich" at launch, especially in Single-Player. That has to be a direct jab at how their SFV launch was bare-bones as fuck. Capcom honestly has a track record of not making the EXACT same mistake twice. It's just that they still make mistakes sometimes.

If you were following the news you'll notice Capcom didn't get the Marvel license back, Marvel is literally part of the development this time around, they're actively codeveloping this game.

I wish they'd make TvC2, and this time make it balanced. Tekkaman Blade was such horseshit

As a big UMvC3 fan/apologist, I think Infinite's a good step in the right direction. Doing another 3v3 fighter would probably be kind of predictable and bland; you might as well put out a new 3 revision.

Giving us 2v2 with Grooves (Stones) and SFxT Tag Combos (one of that game's good mechanics) is real cool. I just hope the rumors of a roster "between Vanilla 3 and Ultimate 3" is true, because ~40 sounds perfect.

Marvel had a character named "Captain Marvel" for decades and claimed the copyrights because DC and the previous owners of their Captain Marvel were too busy fighting amongst themselves over the "he is a Superman ripoff!" dispute to copyright the name "Captain Marvel" before Marvel did.

Marvel's Captain Marvel was different though, Carol was Miss Marvel for decades before Marvel decided she should become a dyke and take the Captain Marvel mantle.

Not really, but TvC at least had assists and a burst/cancel system. Maybe Infinite will have some systems like that to keep some kind of depth, but I can't get excited for something I don't know about. Right now it just looks shallow.

Expect the new characters to look as good as her or even better.
