>buy Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 port >try learn characters >all this fucking dashing and cancelling and teleporting required >of course since I'm new I get pummeled online by people who have been playing for five years >on top of netcode kind of being shit
WHATS THE POINT, Sup Forums? I CAN'T FUCKING DO IT. AND BY THE TIME I GET A BASIC COMBO DOWN THE NEW GAME WILL RELEASE AND NO ONE WILL PLAY 3 AGAIN
This is how every modern fighting game feels to me. I don't have the time to put 100+ hours into a game just to get good enough to not lose every single time
Brandon Baker
Get good.
You have to really be playing a game since launch to compete like that. Or just play against friends who are new like you.
Kevin King
DO NOT GO ON TRAINING MODE
Instead, just keep playing online. Yes, you will get your ass kicked but so does everyone else. Playing people >>>>> training mode.
Christian Barnes
why in the world would you buy mvc3. its the most broken fighting game out there. Which is why only muurica still takes it seriously.
just find some friends who are shit at the game and let them mash buttons with you.
Ryan Ramirez
>ready >fight >he gets first hit 100% combo >2nd cahraacter set up 100% >3rd set up 100% >you lose
Brandon Hall
You gotta at least go to training to learn combos.
Ian Foster
>he gets first hit
Um, why didn't you block or dodge, or hit him first. Also there are ways to get out of combos. You probably don't even know what resets are
Easton Peterson
I can't even get dante's bold cancel into volcano, how am I supposed to learn anything online except where to block?
James Green
It takes less time than you'd think to be competent. The biggest thing in Marvel is learn one combo in training mode for all your characters with at least one having an OTG. That's all you need to drill in training then go online and you will beat a lot of people if you hit confirm. From there you can learn mechanics like positioning and zoning by playing actual humans.
Aaron Howard
Learning one or two combos in training mode isn't a bad idea. If you have them to muscle memory then dropping combos will be less of an issue once you start practice actually starting them.
Hudson Gutierrez
>I get first hit >no training so don't know shit >drop combo >he counters 100% >100% >100% >you lose
Mason Hernandez
Because I played 2 casually, never got into 3, and all the talk and speculation had me look up vids and it seemed really exciting
Carson Hall
Fighting games are trash
There's a reason they all end up in the dollar bin, and that the genre has been declining
People are tired of this stale, badly made genre. It's just made for autistic people at this point, it is no fun for anyone who doesn't want to have a part time job when they get home that may eventually be fun
Anthony Flores
Dante is probably not for noobs. Try Wolverine or Wesker or something.
Charles Edwards
Teambuilding and training is important. I just went online yesterday with people I liked and got my ass beat, then looked up how to build a proper team with each role being filled, practiced their combos a little, and then I had a win streak all of a sudden
Angel Allen
>its the most broken fighting game out there. That's an exaggeration for sure.
Logan Moore
Its a fun party game with friends
Nicholas Richardson
This is why I love fighting games. They force you to recognize your own failures rather than pass it off as an issue with the game or the result of someone else's fuckup and whether you succeed or not is completely up to you.
Parker Baker
>THE NEW GAME WILL RELEASE AND NO ONE WILL PLAY 3 AGAIN They will if infinite ends up being slow bullshit with no xmen
Benjamin Mitchell
Just like they kept playing USF4 after SFV turned out to be a huge turd right? LMAO
Carson Parker
>spend 10 hours in training practicing all combos until I find the character I like the most >spend another 10 hours mastering all of said char combos >ok time to go online >can't pull off any fucking combo unless it starts with a grab even if my life depended on it
Owen James
You gotta have neutral game and timing. Memorizing combos isn't enough, if it was everyone would be fucking EVO champions.
Jaxon Reyes
There's no neutral in marvel desu
Alexander Perry
So what are the best tips to get good at fightans from scratch?
