What went wrong?
What went wrong?
not enough Chortles
You don't have friends to play it with you pathetic fag lmao
I never played it, but I heard it had the same problem as 3D Land: no challenge until it's almost over
The levels don't gain anything additional from being played in multiplayer. It is literally exactly the same.
It just turns into throw your friends off the ledge simulator.
You sound like a virgin too, desu.
Wow you sure showed me
It was fine, just a noticeable few steps down from GALAXY.
Nothing
...
Nothing.
Played it with my gf and had sex afterwards, we cuddled in bed naked for like 2 hours after that.
blog
It's not a true successor to mario 64. Mario 64 was kind of open world but not really. 3d world is literally a level based platformer
>3d world is literally a level based platformer
So it's literally Mario in 3D? I'm shocked.
Remake is better. Original looks really out of place in a Mario game.
This halfway bullshit is so lazy though. Make it full 3D or full 2D.
If only
Miyamoto prefering 2D over 3D. As always.
More than 64 and Galaxy's no challenge ever.
And he's right
It is full 3D. It just isn't a bunch of tiny sandboxes with no challenge.
>A main Mario game looks out of place in a Mario series
This is how retarded you look
Yeah, its a bunch of tiny linear levels with no challenge
Yeah, a goofy cartoony dinosaur with a saddle in a Mario game, that never happened before
To be honest donuts don't look well in the first two.
Literally best 3D Mario
COOL ORIGINAL
LAME REMAKE
MASSIVE FAGGOT
Man you can just tell this was made by a 15 year old whose only expose to classic games is through youtubers.
>there are actually people who believe this
>implying 15 years old play Mario 64
>It just turns into throw your friends off the ledge simulator.
You seem to be implying this isn't hilarious. Guess you never played Four Swords.
It was geared towards the multiplayer experience, or perhaps to short-term play. As such, the game never really tests your abilities to handle or master its mechanics in any of the stages. Each stage is required to show off the stage mechanic in the beginning, with the intent that the player would learn it over the course of the stage; even the later Flower/Star worlds mostly just test your understanding of the stage mechanic and a general ability to control your character well.
Yeah, why would anyone want to finish the levels and actually play the game?
He's implying the exact opposite you illiterate dunce.
I have no friends to play with.
Weebs.
You're right, rushing directly to the finish line is the only enjoyment to be had from any game. Why bother playing in the first place? Just suicide a dozen times to get the golden tanuki so you can win easier. Heck, that's too much work, might as well download a save and skip the whole tedious "play" part.
Platforming is fun. Throwing your friends off the same ledge dozens of times and wasting the power ups necessary to get green stars is not.
The next 3D Mario is already closer to 64 and Sunshine can you fucks stop pretending to hate 3D World
>pretending to hate 3D World
Why do you think they're pretending?
Do people not like 3d world?
I unironically thought it was pretty good. The challenge really ramps up in the post game worlds
>The next 3D Mario is already closer to 64 and Sunshine
I hate people that make up shit based on a 10 second short
The camera is behind him instead of overhead, theres a heart meter, triple jump, original characters, and no timer. Those things alone mean it will be better than 3D World.
But it's so obvious from looking at it. 3D Land/World had nothing like the stuff shown in the clips, and Mario's movement etc. is much more reminiscent of those earlier games.
It doesn't really matter, galaxy had all that and it still has shit movement compared to SMS and 64. We don't know shit until we play it.
Autism.
I had fun.
At this point, saying you liked 3D World will be more as an unpopular opinion than as a popular opinion.
Which is sad, because I loved 3D World, and I don't mind another 3rd sequel.
>can you fucks stop pretending to hate 3D World
No. It will suck forever in my book
>even the later Flower/Star worlds mostly just test your understanding of the stage mechanic and a general ability to control your character well.
Just like SMB and SMW
How would you rank the 3DS Mario games?
I'm wanting to binge some titles since getting back into my copy of New Super Mario Bros and picking up Mario Maker.
>As such, the game never really tests your abilities to handle or master its mechanics in any of the stages.
None of 3D Mario games really or in majority requires you to test your abilities and mastering in mechanics. Mario's moveset outside of jumping and running only serves to get fast and use shortcuts, not as a way that they are required to use.
Also, Champion Road requires you to use long-jump and wall kick in some cases.
I 100% NSMB2 4 times and SM3DL 3 times without misses. I also played the shit out of MK7, alone and with friends.
Original SMB was quite good at ramping up the challenge in later stages. I didn't care much for some parts of it but, overall, the late game challenged you to what mechanics the early game taught you.
SMW was fairly easy and a bit boring as well, though.
It wasn't Galaxy 3
GOD TIER
Kuribo Shoe
HammerBros Suit
Tanooki Suit
HIGH TIER
Boo Mushroom
Frog Suit
Super Leaf
Starman
MID TIER
Mushroom
Mega Mushroom
Cape Feather
Super Acorn
LOW TIER
Fire Flower
Ice Flower
Cloud Flower
Double Cherry
SHIT TIER
Bee Mushroom
Penguin Suit
Propeller Mushroom
Cat Bell
The only difficulty in SMB was the labrynth, SMW special is just as hard. And star road has more difficult puzzles.
Seriously only SMB2 is a challenge and I dont mean the american one.
>Also, Champion Road requires you to use long-jump and wall kick in some cases.
No it doesn't. If you were using wall kicks on the part with the ants you were doing it wrong.
>None of 3D Mario games really or in majority requires you to test your abilities and mastering in mechanics.
The 3D Mario games were frankly all disappointing.
>Also, Champion Road requires you to use long-jump and wall kick in some cases.
True, although one stage out of around 150 total in the game is not enough to recommend it.
Cat Bell, Penguin Suit and Double Cherry should be in high tier.
And why the fuck Ice Flower is in low tier while Penguin Suit is in shit tier, even if Penguin Suit has Ice Flower's ice balls, plus it lets you go fast by skiing? Ice Flower is useless.
>no NSMB shell
would be god tier, anyways
It's far better than 3D world.
the timer made it so you couldnt fully explore levels as much as you wanted
jumping on the flagpole at the end was finicky because its a one square space in a 3D environment and was sometimes hard to hit if jumping from the top of whatever tower you were on
otherwise nothing
solid 9/10
