You don't even get to fight actual Rebels until the last few missions.

Still on of the greatest games ever

I always look at its campaign as a three hour tutorial for. I used to spend hundreds of hours playing Battlefront 2. I played the PC version, I bought an OG Xbox, a copy of the game, and four controllers just so I could play splitscreen when I had friends over

*for the online modes.

Those were all really interesting though

Somehow I got lucky and beat it after three tries. Actually the campaign missions had considerable variability since a big part of it is whether the AIs get lucky against each other.
