Since furfag killed the last thread as they always do, let's have a non-furry discussion about Animal Crossing.
What do you hope to see in the next installment?
I want more interactivity with furniture and more varied villager personality types.

Remove the able sisters
Why??
they are shitty characters?
What else can you do before it ceases to be Animal Crossing?
If anything, they should just have villagers have individual personalities or at least some differences between "types". New Leaf was awful in that aspect.
But they aren't, and they serve a purpose. It would be like removing Nook or K.K.
I'd be happy if they added a ton of extra dialogue for everyone. It starts to feel repetitive in every game, and it's inevitable, but it could do with more variety.
>next installment
Do you mean the inevitable Switch game or the announced mobile game? The latter will probably be like Wild World.
They should add dating and marriage
Actually, it would be cool if the game actually had an option for making paths. Like, upload a couple designs and the game putting those aside for path making.
Still wouldn't give as much freedom as plastering your town with the designs does, but at least it would make it so you don't have to make multiple mules just to make your town look like an actual town.
To be fair, chances are they toned down personalities due to parents complaints. I recall villagers in the first game could actually get pissed at you, and snooty/cranky villagers being mean until you got to know them better. In New Leaf the meanest I've seen a villager been is Uchi types giving you something then thinking to themselves something like "haha, I finally got rid of that garbage". Everyone else just keeps praising you or being nice no matter what happens.
And I know Resetti specifically was toned down because he scared kids.
Fuck no, amiibo when?
I wanna fuck the the dog secretary
Anyone wanna exchange FC?
Im so glad I got this done, its my phone screesaver
A....animal crossing isnt furry....r...right guys?
K.K. serves a purpose?
>Next AC
>They add a "mean-ness setting" for villagers instead of a difficulty setting
Seriously though, I don't care how passive they are as long as they add more personality types and dialogue. Maybe they could even give sub-categories for each personality? Nice-Smug, Mean-Smug, Stupid-Smug, Snooty-Smug, etc. Anything to lower the chances of having two characters with the exact same personality type in your village.
I don't understand why a non furfag would enjoy this game. Also, dating when?
Why?
>the game had anthro characters therefore I have the right to spam every threat with my garbage
How much of an obnoxious asshat can you be?
Most people who play it aren't furries, they are casuals and kids. Then there's those like me who just enjoy nintendo games.
Talk about the game and post pics, this is an imageboard.
Pic related, it's my top bro Kabuki.
Reposting from old thread
Here's my (partial) list:
Villagers
>more personality types, I want grumpy villagers to go back to being assholes
>quirks that act like 'sub-personality types' so that two villagers with the both type will still have some small differences
>more complex personalities and 'settings': a tsundere that acts like a jerk but slowly opens up, a chuuni whose character breaks every now and then, a shy one that follows you around hiding, someone who changes personality during the night, etc
>a LOT more dialog lines
>being able to choose where new villagers will build their houses
>best friends that will never leave your town
>room mates, both in your house and between villagers
>villagers related to each other (brothers, cousins, childhood friends etc)
>more interaction with them, like being able to invite them to fish, catch bugs, shop, play soccer etc
>villagers can do the same things you can, so you can see them actually catch bugs and fish, dig holes, plant trees, eat fruit etc
>villagers can expand their own homes, buy clothes and furniture from the shops
Village
>houses for Nook, Able Sisters etc
>more varied zones like mountains, marshes, jungles, etc
>caves: like fossils, are generated at random places every day
>inside them you can find fossils, minerals, different types of bugs and fish, maybe a bat NPC
>more and more interactive PWPs, like being able to build soccer fields or something that add new things to do
Activities
>bring back NES games, they could put those short VC demos or let you play your own VC games
>more minigames like the ones on holidays
>jobs: just like when you had to work for Nook or when you work at the coffee shop, you could work for the Able Sisters to design clothes on commission, or at the Postal Office and deliver mail to the villagers
>an online hub where you can meet with other players, like a mall or something, kind of like the island from NL
There's a lot more but that's enough for now.
I made this some days ago.
They should make it like the sims where you can have more complex relationships with animals in the village. Like if you piss one off repeatedly and they end up not liking you, they knock your garbage over every day.
Free camera
A real 3D village to explore, doing that alone would change everything dramatically
Yeah they should definitely add some kind of development to your relationship with the villagers. Right now it's
>first time: hi, I am [villager], who are you? Oh you're the mayor? Nice to meet you
>second time to Xth time: we are best buddies
>Xth time + 1: I'll give you my picture
>Xth time + 1 to infinity: we are best buddies
It's just too flat
>let's have a non-furry discussion about Animal Crossing.
Good luck with that.
>What do you hope to see in the next installment?
Farming, mining, an overworld outside of the village to explore, better NPC interaction, actually can interact with Isabelle, removal of real time.
Just generally more to do besides collecting a few fruit each day.
>removal of realtime
that's the foundation of the game though
Your pic reminds me of something I want them to add: when I dig holes around a villager blocking their movement I want them to panic/get angry.
The game you want already exists, its called rune factory.
Ceiling furniture
It'd be pretty nice if they added the option to create and post your own music
Building off of , I'd like the scale of the town to be greatly increased, so that trees feel bigger and you get a better sense of space when walking around. Having a more 3D view is something the games are really overdue for, or at least camera rotation so you can see what's ahead of you.
Mario Kart 8's AC track was amazing, and that's the kind of scale I want to see.
Ankha might be sexy in that porn flash and I really have a thing for that Cleopatra vibe but in the end she's just as much of a dopey fool as everybody else in AC, who isn't a raccoon dog.
Seriously, if you get sexual vibes from these animals, you either are a pedophile or into the mentally handicapped and I'm saying that affectional, I love those virtual, at best two dimensional, idiots.
t. guy who doesn't care if it's drawn anthro, drawn human or porn with real people aslong as the right buttons are pressed.
Pressing the bottom screen tab/menus won't force a pause. I hate having to stand still every time I lay down a tile for a path.
Stop caring about what other people fap to.
You are not superior to anyone.
>Also, dating when?
Literally never. It's a game for children. They castrated resetti because he scared kids.
Resetti was a stupid mechanic though
who else /makingmoneybackbysellingspareamiibocards/?
why the fuck people pay so much money for some characters, I'll never know.
>insulting savescummers is a stupid mechanic
And besides that's not the point. They removed him because kids were scared.
Not really, it's a great mechanic, a punishment for cheating and for being forgetful.
Add a little sports stadium and sports minigames on the main street
Imagine playing soccer with your villagers against away teams
what can you do by savescummin? I mean if you dont save what did you gain
Have you ever played the game?
Its actually called Harvest Moon 64/FoMT. But we haven't had a good HM game in 15 years. And the thing that made HM good would also make Animal Crossing good.
It was a shitty mechanic that makes 99% of players quit the game after a week. It only really works for people on smartphones who want to play a game for 10 minutes a day, such as during a break at work. But when I turn on a DS game, I expect to play for longer.
This makes me worry that, with Nintendo's newfound focus on smartphones, they're gonna put Animal Crossing on android/iOS next. Then you won't be too keen on the real time mechanic, will you?
for hundreds of hours
Then how the fuck do you not know what you can do by cheating saves? Are you pretending?
I just dont cheat
What can you do?
Answer or stop posting, what do you gain if you dont save?
I never liked Main Street and the Shopping District, I'd rather have all the major shops inside the village.
BUT it could be kind of cool if you had to take a bus or something to get to some another location like the City, and the bus travel had actual gameplay like talking to the passengers, playing mingames with them, simple stuff like that.
Nothing but loosing your progress and scolding from Resetti, atleast back then.
But you can manipulate lots of rng based shit by doing that on purpose.
Like, if you really are autistic, completing the fossile part of the museum in the minimal amount of time possible,
A tool belt.
I hate having a third of my inventory taken up by tools i pretty much always will need. Just make dedicated slots for them, or hell sell it as an upgrade if you have to.
it's already confirmed they're developing an AC game for smartphones and after that's done they're doing AC switch
>It only really works for people on smartphones who want to play a game for 10 minutes a day, such as during a break at work. But when I turn on a DS game, I expect to play for longer.
The irony is that this kind of mentality is what's actually destroying games these days. "I want my instant gratification, and when I have the time to game I want to be WINNING!" It's just like all the journalist hacks that helped destroy sandbox games and MMOs because they'd bitch about "growing up" and "not having time to play anymore".
Here's some interesting news: games don't have to cater to your exclusive wishes. If you want to grind through a life simulator, play the Sims or Harvest Moon. Games like Animal Crossing thrive off of real time progression because that makes the holidays all the more special. Just because some people cheese the system and time travel doesn't invalidate it for everyone else.
This.
And have money stack by default for fucks sake!
Undo mistakes
Manipulate rng, like getting different clothes with the gay giraffe
>let's have a non-furry discussion about this furry game
Actually I have a feeling they'll be working on both at the same time and release close to each other to maximize the impact. Otherwise people who get the mobile version might have forgotten about it when the Switch game comes out.
This definitely.
I see, but cheaters will cheat resetti wasnt stopping anyone
That's like saying that Saint Seiya or Captain Tsubasa are yaoi manga.
>He then continued, saying how he hoped a series like Animal Crossing could garner the same effect that Pokémon GO has by creating a larger audience that would express interest in new games from the series.
>“We have Super Mario Run releasing now, and it’s already decided that we’ll be making a Mario game for our next system. And similarly with Animal Crossing, the hope is that when we release the Animal Crossing mobile game, we’ll have more people who become familiar with the Animal Crossing world and characters, so that when we next release an Animal Crossing game we’ll have a much larger audience who will be interested.”
Just got new leaf a month or 2 or 3 ago. Played the gamecube and ds version a lot back in the days.
Does anyone still play?
Do people visit eachothers town on Sup Forums?
I've only gotten 1 streetpass with AC until now, the house of wich was a little boring. But i think it would be fun to check some peoples houses out.
This is a bunch of random ideas but
Combine your letter and normal inventories for around 30 inventory slots
Items that can stack do so automatically, more items that can stack. Money automatically goes into your wallet
Making your own paths without rely on patterns that connect seamlessly with the area around the station and buildings, etc. along with different options to change the way it looks.
Way bigger towns with more varied geography. Population of your town being at least 15 villagers
More varied personalities and dialouge. More unique dialogue depending on the villagers race and make certain villagers get along with each other or not depending on that too (i.e. Dogs and Cats not getting along). More villager races too.
No grass degradation.
Along with the default house look, you can make your starting house look like the Modern, Zen or Castle look for your starting house and work your way up from there.
A music player you can equip with other accessories and tools that has no real function aside from letting your listen to the hour music from past games or music you load into it indepedent of any music players you have in your house
Being able to switch between the rolling camera or acre system from the first game
Being able to rotate the camera.
If they keep you as mayor for a sequel... :
Bigger beaches in general and beach exclusive PWPs
Much easier ways to get PWPs, including villagers mentioning suggestions to you in normal conversation, asking Isabeau if someone told her suggestions, etc.
Being able to rotate PWPs and get a better look before you decide on the final placement
There's not really much you can actually fuck up within the actual gameplay that Resetti can detect. Buying the wrong artwork from Redd or getting a duplicate event furniture / fossil? The game autosaves when you start the day anyways.
don't even start with this nonsense.
if it has anthropomorphic animals in any capacity, it's FURRY.
Soon I hope, I would love to have a animal crossing that plays like The sims
>tfw buy random $6 card pack and get $20 card
Well yeah, but like with Pokémon GO, SM came out what 6 months after? And they had RBY on the eShop too to boost sales.
If they start developing AC Switch AFTER the mobile game launches, it will take 1-2 years before the game is done. by then people will have already moved on.
No. That's just not how it works.
truly the best feel
this, how have i never thought of this, i think to make it more of a reward by needing to achieve it some how could be cool too likie by making it be expensive or it only shows up ina late game tom nookstore
Is there a list anywhere of top priced ones, or just a list of all of them ranked?
>talking animals with human features and bipedal
>not furry
It is, though.
>The furry fandom is a subculture interested in fictional anthropomorphic animal characters with human personalities and characteristics.[1][2] Examples of anthropomorphic attributes include exhibiting human intelligence and facial expressions, the ability to speak, walk on two legs, and wear clothes.
en.wikipedia.org
Deal with it.
Letting them have little jew remarks after each sentence, instead of making one of the two retarded was the best change in all of AC.
...
not that I know of
but if you have any Ankhas, Lollys, Luckys, Pietros, Dianas, Tangys, and obviously Isabelles, then you might want to hop on that shit. There's a handful of others that are pretty pricey that can be sold for a good amount.
Are you an idiot? He's asking to be able to play longer. That's the exact opposite of 'instant gratification'.
okay, that doesn't disprove my claim though
There's a difference between finding a talking dog character cute and funny and wanting to fuck it. AC is made for people of the fist kind, not the second.
I honestly just want the gamecube version with more content.
Anthro = animals with humanoid attributes such as talking or walking. Think Egyptian gods.
Furry = Humans that are obsessed with or have sexual attraction to anthros.
Learn the difference. It may just save your life.
So what is your point user?
Talking animals with human features are furries
-Yiff- is just a another word for sex but with anthro animals in it
Do you plan on getting this thread deleted too, furfag?
They're literally some of the few characters in the game with an actual backstory, and a decent one at that
Is there an edit of that "OP's thread goes to shit because of the usual suspects comic" with AC and furries?
damn son, I got winter Isabelle card in the pack I ordered along with the winter Isabelle amiibo figure
>one runs away
>one fucks Tom Nook
>one has an actual job
Fuck yourself, that's a shit story.
I just want text streamlined with store clerks
Eating a fortune cookie should not be a two minute page-fest
Or give you an option after a few months to simplify store text
It's not like they're going to say anything new
>winter Isabelle card
That's 113, right? That's a nice little $4-5 right there.
>Also, dating when?
Never, after all this is a kids game. I Doubt nintendo would make this a thing. Also after the huge flop that the board game with amiboo was I doubt that we get any new animal crossing any time soon
...
It just made cheating a pain in the ass, because his rants got longer and longer and you had to sit through them before you could play. And it was funny.
>And it was funny.
kill yourself
All the stuff this guy said is a good idea. They could keep the real time mechanic, but only if they actually have enough content to let people play longer. Have enough content that a person can play 2 hours a day instead of 10 minutes. Which a farm and a large overworld could do.
Also, to add to his idea, give each villager a more defined personality. To the point that each villager who comes to town ends up changing the town in substantial ways. For example, maybe Ankha moves into town. But she doesn't like Francine for some reason. They end up arguing a lot and you, as Mayor, solve disputes and pranks between them. While other villagers really get along and keep asking you as mayor to deliver letters or presents. Or even change the city layout so they can have their houses closer together. And a major part of the game now is city planning, getting all the characters who like each other close together and separate the ones who don't like each other.
Mad savescummer. :^)
found the cheating douche
>A music player you can equip with other accessories and tools that has no real function aside from letting your listen to the hour music from past games or music you load into it indepedent of any music players you have in your house
Actually this would be pretty great. All the other ideas are good too.
