Played in the second tech alpha, had a lot of fun and the game is definitely promising. I will say the Duel modes are way better than the team based one. 2 v 2 Duel was the shit.
Needs a few balance passes for sure, but the devs seem cool and I like what was there.

I thought it was going to be pve based with light pvp in the middle
Alpha showed me it was entirely pvp based and all pve content was throwaway
And as far as the pvp goes, 1v1 feels good, but good luck actually ending up in a 1v1 situation. The key to winning is always be grouped up with your entire team. Even the most OP classes in the game like vikings are stunlocked and die in 3 hits when you're ambushed
Its a shame, the halfswording from the trailers had me interested but the game forces you to hardly see any of that

As said earlier in the thread, play the 1v1 or 2v2 Duels.
Hell, when I play 2v2 I fucking wait for the other fight to resolve if I win mine. Fair fight is more satisfying.

Duel mode is best for this reason. A good duel with a skilled opponent is the best the game has to offer.

It looks cool,.I just feel like there needs to be one more faction, and they could be more varied.Knights and Vikings feel too similar
I feel like Viking vs Samurai vs Aztecs vs Ottomons or something would work better. There's a better variety of geographic origins and visual styles and weapons that way.

The game's not trying to be realistic, they could just have all the obisdian weapons use steel razors instead. Or just have that be their gimmick: Their weapons do more damage to lightly armored or unarmored opponents since obisdian is ridicliously sharp, but against heavy armor they are way less effective,.
