you

The manlet on the right. The autistic man was happy about his football, and what does the manlet do? Shit on it and scold him for his creativity.

But it's a stone, he didn't make it.

Mario, obviously. Luigi didn't make the stone.

Yoshi. It's always Yoshi's fault.

Mario was being a wise ass. He knew full well what Luigi meant by "making it" but he has always been one to put down his brother. He saw the perfect opportunity to embarrass his brother in front of Yoshi and he grabbed for it like he grabs for a plate of fresh spaghetti, swiftly and without compassion.

Claiming that it's just "a stone" and that "Luigi didn't make it" is like claiming that real footballs are just animal skin and aren't man-made. Or that a statue is not a statue but rather just a rock.

It's arguable whether or not the object Luigi made is a football -- it would never work as a football given it is made of stone -- but it is clear that he made "something" and Mario was wrong to say otherwise.

t.Mama Luigi

Luigi chiseled an object, but it is not a football as it can not be used as a football.

You forgot to read the enclosed instructions

haha

Luigi, Mario was civil, but Luigi had to resort to violence.

Mario asked for it and Luigi complied. If Mario knew it was a stone then he would know that it was "not official weight."

Luigi claimed he made the stone when it was a product of Mother Earth.

He didn't make the stone, he made the football.
It's the same as an artist making a sculpture out of marble.

But it's a stone. He didn't make it.

That OPERA GUY

Both was in the wrong, Mario couldn't comprehend that he chiseled it to look like a football, and Luigi couldn't comprehend that the stone was indeed a stone and shouldn't be used as a football

a stone is a stone, you can't say you made it

Luigi was wrong. He has terminal 7.

modding community.jpg

He didn't make shit on his own, he slightly modified an existing product

Whether or not it's an improvement is debatable

luigi wasted his time

all he did was turn useless shit into pretty useless shit, like skyrim

Yoshi for not being the voice of reason and letting a conflict between brothers escalate to the point of injury

fucker didn't even try

>It'll actually be 10 years next year since I discovered YTPs and this show

I'm actually having some trouble believing those times were nearly 10 years ago. I was 11 and I'll be 21 next year. What the fucking shit.

Mario. Him starting shit and raining on poor luigi's parade was completely uncalled for and out of line.

Luigi should have been courteous enough to warn him before he threw it, regardless of whether Mario "should have known". The fact that he felt the need to state it immediately after that fact shows that deep down he knows the stones weight was an issue and that he had a responsibility to warn his brother about it, but clearly held off on doing so because he wanted to take advantage of an opportunity to harm his brother. Whether Luigi's last minute disclosure of the weight was an attempt to absolve himself or born from guilt is up for debate, but the point still stands.

But it is even the official size ;^(

These kinds of threads never fail to make me smile.

Well I'm glad I could bring some joy into your life, user.

Let's address the elephant in the room here and just come out and say Luigi has massive insecurities from always being in Mario's shadow and always craves his approval. Showing Mario he had 'made' a football was simply his way of seeking validation from his brother again. Mario however refused to coddle him, a grown man, and called a spade a spade by telling him the objective fact that he held in his hands a stone and not a football. This might seem cruel but Mario clearly wanted to spurn Luigi to actually craft something with his own hands like a man instead of just tweaking a rock and calling it a job well done.

DEEEP

LORE

This raises some good points about both their characters. Mario is simply imparting his wisdom in his own way without being condescending, simply stating facts and Luigi is too immature to understand or accept that, so he grows slowly or not at all from taking Mario's advice, however subtle.

It's a football
He chiseled it

That's right. It also casts a really disturbing shade onto Luigi who is essentially an adult child who not only denies objective facts but does so in a sniveling way to 'impress' his brother Mario. It's not a rock to him, it really was a football HE crafted, and would brook no argument.

But what I don't understand is where Yoshi falls into play in all of this. Sure, he might not be his brother but Yoshi should still be giving emotional support to his friend Luigi. Could Yoshi be some kind of sociopathic narcissist?

It's a stone, user.
He didn't make it.

Yoshi is apathetic to it all, mostly. Ignorance is bliss.

But it's even official size.

It's a chiseled stone, it'll never be a football. To think otherwise is unhealthy delusion. At most it merely RESEMBLES a football.

It's not official weight tho.

But it's not official weight.

They using that in the NFL.

Pizza pasta my cousin Spagooglio wants to see you in the tresh to play the newest schuut gaem

Yoshi is too youthful to understand the deep intricacies behind adult matters such as the debate between whether or not a stone can be anything but. He is actually wise enough at such a young age to make the best decision he possibly can in staying out of matters beyond his comprehension. Many adults themselves could stand to learn a lesson from this.

Mario was a damn jerk on the show. Luigi was the sensible, reasonable one and Mario was a smart ass.

how the fuck do you know caveman football league rules and regulations

They literally live there, and there is only one way Luigi would know anything about their official sizes and weights.

mario was just trying to be sonic without the fast desu

Mario shouldn't have been a fucking smartass, what an asshole to try to crush something your brother made and he was proudly showing you.

Mario is in the wrong here for being an asshole.

mario got what was coming to him

>Yoshiart watermark

>tfw realized the whole episode could of been avoided had Luigi not found the stone

Just who's fault is it really, in the end?

They taught the cavepeople the power of teamwork at least.

I wonder if people ever actually learned anything from cartoons instead of just being a mindless consumer following the 'plot'

Where do the cave people factor into all of this?

That post really made me think, thank you.

This whole thread has made me think

shut up nerds, i'll make you pay

Both of them

Who was truly in the wrong here?

Yoshi most likely just doesn't give a single fuck

bump

This episode hints at Luigi's inner desire to have children, despite his impotence. Luigi has been desperately trying to fill the void of not being able to have offspring, taking his frustration out on "creating" other things and objects instead. He demonstrates this with a football he chiseled from stone, which he is desperate to receive validation for, but Mario only shoots him down.

Luigi's luck changes when he meets a baby Yoshi who imprints him as its mother. At first, Luigi is hesitant at the idea of raising a child that he didn't create, but by the end of their adventure he accepts it as his own, bearing the title of Mama Luigi.
