If you didn't play as Vash it'd be something like Boarderlands probably. Customizable bounty hunters and so such.
I can't imagine how it would work with Vash as the player character.
Like Gungrave.
There was a game in development for PS2, actually.
Like gungrave, its not like the guy who made trigun was involved in gungrave or anything.
Red dead revolver with a little bit of Vanquish mixed in.
Probably like gungrave
Cinematic 3D platformer (think TLG). Puzzles revolve around getting through areas without killing innocents. Violating your vow of pacifism results in a game over. Lots of scripted sequences and gameplay variety, not just another TPS. You gun is a tool.
Game over everytime you kill somebody :^)
Trigun is some of the worst, most over-rated dog shit out there. People always liken it to Cowboy Bebop but that's only because they aired at the same time. Compared to Bebop Trigun is a burning trash fire.
Vash is an annoying, unlikable cunt. Infact, all the characters are shit.
If Trigun had a game it'd be like Bubsy 3D. A shitty game with non-existent game play with an obnoxious faggot as the main character.
>What is X anime was a video game?
No one cares. Fuck off weeb.
I think that game was actually turned into Gungrave, but I lost track.
I might be wrong, but I wouldn't be surprised if Vash's pacifism caused a problem. He refuses to kill anyone, but how would you get that to work in a game, where a player probably just wants to shoot everything?
Something like Call of Juarez Gunslinger would be sweet.
Only retards put it on the same tier as CB, which is one of the best anime TV series of all time.
Trigun is just fun, on the same tier as stuff like Outlaw Star or Big O.
Bullets just incapacitate.
Or you shoot robots. Or both.
>some of the worst
Watch more than ten shows and get back to us, dipshit.
fuck you Trigun is objectively the greatest anime ever made
Nausicaa comes close to topping it tho
Max Payne 3 on anime steroids
Red Steel 2
we need a kuroneko game
At least a rurouni kenshin game could at least still have decent swordplay.
Goddamn.
Hard to believe the same sort of character can be so gimped by a difference in weapons. Vash should have at least used rubber bullets or some shit, fuck. or maybe A DIFFERENT GUN THAT WON'T TURN HIM INTO A DEATH WEAPON holy fuck, he should have ditched that shit decades ago.
Trigun is as generic as shounen gets
It would be absolutely amazing. Until the final level when it goes to complete shit and leaves you feeling dissatisfied.
youtube.com
it'd probably be pretty tight
haha
:(
Cowboy Bebop isn't even the best anime out there, user. It's got the style, but Trigun's got the substance.
Do you think Millie will ever be happy again?
Revolver God Hand
Probably some shitty Devil May Cry clone. Despite that type of gameplay not working with the Trigun universe at all.
Why does Sup Forums like Trigun so much?
A rail shooter.
If you kill badguys you lose.
Everyone likes Trigun. Or at least those that bothered to watch the whole series. It had genuine character arcs and development. Good pacing. And decent animation.
The only complaint is the final ep where it just goes to shit.
an improved version of gungrave, i suppose.
even better if it works over an original arc.
Trigun was popular during the peak of when normies liked anime (1998-2004). As well as them thinking its 'like Cowboy Bebop'.
It was on adult swim/Toonami Midnight Run(remember that shit?), so for the same reason Sup Forums likes Big O, Outlaw Star, and all those other great 90's anime that we loved because the import industry existed in a vacuum back then and we weren't spoiled for choice on genre and selection like we are now, where you can click like twice and watch a full resolution episode of something you're interested in rather than waiting over an hour for a 56 MB episode of Dragonball Z to pull down in a RealMedia format over your 56k dial up connection and praying no one called in that window of time.
>MY B FLAT!
I'd play the fuck out of a game where you kill people with a sax though.
No, Monster Hunter doesn't count. I'm talking more so about the sound blasts being your primary damage source.
To be fair the first half is shit, when it's just the exact same "Vash acts like a cowardly idiot" joke repeated every episode. It gets so much better when Vash's origins are revealed along with his and Knives's conflicted ideals.
> This power!
> How is this possible!
> Fuck!
Kek.
The point was to build up that being his character though. Which kind of played into his origin story so you understood why he was such a pacifist. And why it was so great seeing his convictions put into an unwinable situation.
I'm more interested in why Sup Forums likes Haruhi a.k.a Every Shitty Anime Stereotype Ever: The Show
The OST is pretty good
Crispin Freeman's dry, done-with-this-shit delivery was a real highlight of the dub, and as a character I like Kyon a lot overall. The rest of them grate on me to varying degrees, though.
a fps with no shooting
>ON THE NEXT EPISODE OF DRAGONBALL Z, GOKU BEATS THE SHIT OUT OF JEICE AND BURTER
Cancelled.
what would an escaflowne game be like
>Escaflowne: Gravity is Magic
Probably a dating sim.
There are two problems any Trigun game would have to overcome, really: (1) Vash is an insanely good gunman (2) who refuses to kill anyone.
Like, seriously, Vash is so good he can shoot other people's bullets out of the air with his own bullets. A good Trigun game, trying to capture that feeling, would have to place an incredibly high skill floor on play since, again, Vash doesn't kill people, and shooting "just" to wound is a semi-flawed concept.
Mostly accurate but Umaru threads last way longer here.
Tight as shit if they got a competent developer.
I just kinda hope there's a part where you fight off-mech as well. That collapsing shield Van had is tight as fuck.
Escaflowne had a game. And like the movie, it pretty much made the show pointless. The whole point of the game was to send Hitomi back to Earth. So much for romance, right? Not to say the ending of the anime was good. Just stupid that they made a crappy ending, then want against it.
It's a good spin in the current wack-a-mole design most games use. Some kind of bullet time would make pulling Vash-tier stuff easier.
That should have a Sup Forums section.
Yeah, but you'd need it all the time. You'd need to find some way to integrate it smoothly without it being gimmicky.
No offense to Vash but Wolfwood would be a far easier character to build a game around - which is still kinda fine by me cause Wolfwood and Vash are both pretty cool, albeit for very different reasons.
Fun.
It's fun.

If Trigun Maximum isn't going to be adapted into an anime than it should be adapted into a game.
I was an InuYasha/Dragon Ball reruns/Hamtaro faggot.
I was watching Garfield, Zelda and Sonic in the late 80s. By the time Cartoon Network came along, I was in high school and had to be in class at 7:30 AM. Fucking hated my school district.
>ctrl f
>no wild arms
hmmm
wild arms and trigun share a similar setting but would be nothing like that
>hamtaro
I've never met a bad person who liked hamtaro

>7:30
I had to be there at 6:30. I still don't understand why they thought kids having to wake up at 5-6 to catch the bus was a good fucking idea.
Action RPG with multiple campaigns for Vash, Meryl, Millie and Wolfwood.
Collectible Kuronekos in each level.
Unlock and select super moves.
Basically a musou game except not shit and with more content.
For my school district, it was the PTA who insisted on it. Because 1) Parents wanted to drive their kids to school on the way to work and 2) They wanted school to end at 2:10 every day so sports teams would have an extra hour of practice.
Basically, the school district and teachers cared more about football than their kids health.
Gonna have to agree.
Trigun is like Kenshin, but the periods of catharsis when Vash "get serious" are so few and far between it's borderline ineffective. If the series was a strict comedy that would be one thing but it's not funny enough to be a comedy. It's stuck somewhere in the middle which makes it weird in my opinion.
Sounds about right. Shit was rough. Teachers used to complain that my head was down in class. It's, like, bitch. It's 7 AM and you're teaching Kurt Vonnegut. The fuck do you want me to do.
>so few and far between it's borderline ineffective
You're delusional.
Trigun has so few episodes that those moments are perfectly effective.
Exactly. I always fell asleep in first period, then ate my lunch in second period because I was so tried. But nope, its totally my fault and not the school district making me get up at 5 am to make it to school on time.
I've never watched past that episode-- got so pissed I just stopped watching. I don't think I've ever felt as betrayed. All those long ass weeks of filler and build-up to Goku finally arriving and about to kick ass-- only to have the series reset.
At least we're out now, user. And kids these days don't usually have to deal with that.
>/fit/ is the only board who likes ippo
Well, /fit/ has the best taste then I guess. Ippo shits all over everything else.
Don't go overboard. Bebop is objectively a masterpiece, but Trigun is a very fun, entertaining show.
...
>mfw high school dropouts dont understand character development and story arcs in general and post about it as if they do understand
Sup Forums is always finding new was to be embarrassing and worthless. It's astounding really.
Looks like Sup Forums has the best taste, with /fit/ *barely* behind. Sup Forums definitely likes some gems, but clearly worse than the aforementioned two. Sup Forums and /m/ have mediocre taste in general.
So? Even SAO had a pretty good OST.
Yeah he was easily the most likable character in the series by a country mile.
