The main problem the show has is that it's not a good place to start at if you want to get into capeshit like every other DC cartoon. That DC School cartoon with the Suicide Squad movie Harley is even a better capeshit entry-point cartoon.

Comedy spinoffs for serious stuff tend to be pretty good like Carnival Phantasm is to Tsukihime, but TTG is just boring when it's shown all day and it's hit and miss.

How? I thought this guy was most known for his awful donutsteel (no equivalent references) and nsfw shit (obviously not there). The boom character looks more like a generic trope and covers broad parts of the fanbase (purists, shippers, roleplayers, fanfiction authors) wrapped up in an appropriate Misery reference (dangerously obsessive fan).

The blue arms thing is the only aspect that may be a cwc reference, but it's shaky since fans were pretty vocal about that design aspect (not unlike the sports tape, which was also made fun of in the episode). This all predated the chris-chan crap and is decidedly less weird and gross to reference.

It seems like Sup Forums just wants to assume blue arms=cwc since they often go together here. Keyword "here".

Also, the lack of any focus on OC characters (arguably the most defining part of CWC) simply isn't there.

To say that a mention of orange soda (pretty much in a strict vaccum as a descriptor) is a stretch would already be giving that one way too much credit.

Asking for a timestamp on the medallion mention since I don't remember that. If true that is actually a good case that CWC partially influenced the character (still outweighed by the sonic fanbase in general).
