We all used to play cosmic break before they tried to fuck players over with that gashapon shit
Shame, was a great game too. Got the entire site involved
It's a shame private servers don't exist for S4
I'd love to play the game again, but not in the current state that it's in
quake live
This thread is making me sad
The gameplay in this one was truly great.
It hurts
...
...
best F2P game besides GunZ
...
I really liked that game but after a while everyone only wanted to play Moonlight and knock each other off with instant angling attacks. Really sucked because most of the interesting gear and styles were worthless on that map.
this, it's a sad state of affairs after 2012. I still hop on occasionally to play
youtube.com
rip ver e.
oh fug i remember this
I used to play that shit along with windom xp good times
I miss Raycrash ;_;
It has, we played a few times but people stopped playing dunno why, someone posted an announcement on the Steam group recently but I guess nobody cares anymore.
rip
It's a shell of its former self now
But it was probably the most fun I had playing an MMO because of how open-ended it was
Spiral Knights. How could one comfy ass game with great potential shit the bed so fucking hard
God I missed that game, but once they introduced P2W the quality nosedived.
had a blast playing this during the beginning when the most popular map was station-2. not sure if there's currently any games out that are similar but i'd rather play that than go back to this.
They've already made a sequel to this game as well called cosmic league. How come I've never heard about this?
S4 in it's prime is still my favorite multiplayer experience. Fucking Overwatch and MOBA's don't do it for me at all.
it's an incredibly niche game that has no direct competitor.
>tfw they were giving out free boosts to level 200 up until today
>don't know if i should take the offer and go back to playing
That's a damn shame
Both because people stopped playing and because I missed it
>>tfw they were giving out free boosts to level 200 up until today
what
this game was the shit where I lived
You what user
For real?
>up until today
Fucking hell
From what I saw, nexon was giving out free exp to level up to 200 to raise hype about the new 5th job
offer ends today
aaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH
God DAMN this was my shit way back when. Holy shit I just ate a face full of fucking nostalgia pie. Man, this game really ate it hard when it left OGPlanet, even a little before it left. Its too bad too, this was a kick ass game. Played this game all the time with my friend and we talked to each other on the landline phone; I pinched it between my ear and my shoulder to talk to him while we were playing.
Had my first serious guild here too, Riptide, fucking loved those bastards. Hope they're all doing well. This game was honestly fucking funny to play too, knocking people around into the environment hazards and off stage.
Woo, thanks for posting this user, you honestly made my night.
It was just an exp potion that levels you up once every 10 levels
this is the only correct answer. I still pop in from time to time, but I often don't feel like doing anything while I'm logged in. I just sit around and play music desu.
That was close. I was almost going to relapse. Probably not though.
refill your fukcin health jesus christ
rip sro, my first real mmo.
Damn
Was looking forward to finally see what being level 200 is like
Never been able to withstand the grind and make it that high
My favorite not-tribes. Favorite tribes too.
>We knew GunZ 2 was coming out for ages now
>The devs said that K-Style was a legitimate thing that added depth to the game so they wanted to expand on it for GunZ 2
>GunZ 2 is finally released
>Play it
>It's absolute horse shit and they didn't expand on it at all or even keep it in
>Broken character tier meta shit the game
>log in
>get FOUNDER's title
>name still broken
>enter a match
>it's just bots vs bots with 1 guy
Eerie.
i lament the sequels to these games
seriously what the fuck
This. This is the greatest F2P mmorpg of all time. It is also probably one of the greatest MMORPG of all time of any payment time really.
There is literally just SO MUCH to this game. There will never be another game that does things like this and its so fucking sad.
I hate that this game will never be what it used to be...
I have to wonder if it's nostalgia or simply the part where in I'm getting old.
I've been wondering if it's that developers are leaning towards the more casual market for even games that are considered hardcore by people; I'm guessing so that people not into hardcore stuff can still have a chance, giving them dosh... or if it's just the way the gaming world has developed.
GunZ 1 was fucking like, my top tier gold standard of skill the game. it took me a month to learn butterfly to perfection and double butterfly three months, bring that in with switch shots and whatever not-- But then you go play GunZ 2 and within the first 20 minutes you pretty much have the game down. I still remember how to do Double Butterfly perfectly right now because of how ingrained the training to get that good was.
I still think about this game from time to time.
This hacker step29 is real fucking scary. I know he's spying and fucking with me.
>do something to piss off the group
>next week step is the statue
>following week its some ugly brown girl
Wow damn never expected to hear about rumble fighter here of all places. I had a lot of fun with this one i'd go back and play it again if i hadn't lost all my items when they transferred publishers
By patch 1.23, the game was shaping up quite nicely and was fun to play
It's just a shame the game was turned into WoW 2.0
Since we're getting out the member berries...I used to love Audition Online. Loved rhythm games that did dancing.
This one. I still listen to the OST sometimes..
>this fucking game
made me unironically follow Fergie, I will not lie.
post music
keep listening. I swear whoever is running the music shit needs to stay the fuck on that team, because they're doing a kick ass job. Ever since G19 the music has been the toppest of tiers, better than even a lot of regular games.
youtube.com
lol funny enough I was into it back when it wasn't using american songs. I think they still have a SEA version that's like the original but the USA one isn't too bad either.
don't do this to me bro
youtube.com
>I've been alive for more than a decade now
when is it going to get fun again
Mabinogi's OST is so goddamn good
Definitely underrated
Still has one of my favorite build-ups to the "final" boss in song form
youtube.com
>that distorted main theme at the end
Gets my dick hard everytime
youtube.com
Never noticed how lovely the soundtrack was when i was grinding.
youtube.com
I will always have this fucking music in my head when I think of simpler times gaming wise.
The greatest Star Wars saga ever told
It wasn't the best, but I have some good memories of Trickster Online.
>korean servers also went down some time ago
Makes me sad but I was able to get some random KSSN to play the game for a few months. Really fun game.
Anyone remember that topdown mech game that looked like macross? 2D/Pixel aesthetics.
Ah, the end part is a distorted preview of the final boss' theme
Still good though
youtube.com
>Final boss theme has games main theme mixed into it
Makes my dick even harder
youtube.com
Probably the one that marked me the most.
i weep for the younger generation that won't know how satisfying it was to just chill outside town and chat with like-minded friends and strangers alike
Helping clueless people get to Izlude or Payon was the fucking best.
Rip in piece nightly Gunbound with friends...
I probably played it for a couple of weeks, but I still have fond memories. I had some dude with a pink afro.
Fuck, you miss them most when they're gone I guess.
Tales of Pirates
Lineage II
Perfect World
Runescape though I still play this
These games were so fun, I can't imagine myself staying awake all weekend because of triple exp anymore
youtube.com
>Killing green mushrooms
>Suddenly a pan lid drops
You can't loot it because it wasn't your kill
A good alternative when we were bored with RO.
Was fun trying to figure out how to do fucking everything since it was all in Korean.
RIP
>tfw played most of the games in this thread
what have i been doing with my life
preparing yourself for the inevitable disappointment of reality.
>The gameplay in this one was truly great.
I loved this game so much, like the other user said this would be the last place I'd expect it to show up... I'm surprised to this day no game has taken advantage of some of the clever things Rumble Fighter did, like the angling of combos or the idea of Scrolls in general, each one acting as a different fighting style.
there used to be NHAA (No Hitting At All) rooms, where people would run down the 2 minute timer, for 3 rounds, without attacking to farm the max amount of gold.
One of my favorite things to do was crash these rooms, enter them posing as a noob, only wearing the default clothes, then proceed to try and kill all other 7 people in the room. once you'd killed enough people, and all 3 rounds ended, you'd become the Room Master and kick everyone in the room before leaving...
and the NHAA room would be dead.
Most of the people who joined these rooms sucked, so while it wasn't difficult to kill them one by one, the problem was when they grouped up. Many brave souls attempted this, most failed and simply got kicked, and had to deal with their failure.
Asuka SS only, Gogogogogogogogogogogo
Drift City and Kwon Ho, i really miss those games.
It isnt nostalgia. GunZ 1 was something unique, it had a lot of things to learn and you felt that you were improving a lot of things besides aiming. GunZ 2 is generic garbage with a shit netcode.
I cant believe i used to grind that hard on a game. Its uncanny.
guys ?
im not the only one who played this right ?
Fuck I don't remember it looking that awful
