>no Metroid 20th, 25th, or 30th
>Kirby gets 2 anniversaries

How much does this fucking franchise sell?

Kirby is like 5th biggest franchise. Metroid is not popular in Japan at all.

Why does Nintendo celebrate anniversaries now. They didn't celebrate the 10th or 15th anniversaries of Mario,Zelda,Kirby or Pokémon.

Because social media is now a big thing I assume.

Are they gonna sell a shitty ROMS collection just like the last time?

because rereleases are more profitable with less effort now

Kirby Dream Collection was a good collection though.

>has every Dreamland game and the Sakurai games
>has new challenges ala RtDL
>has an indepth museum, which even has episodes of the anime

>Includes the 3 best classic games in the series
>New 2.5D gameplay challenge rooms
You take that back you mong

>How much does this fucking franchise sell?
Each installment sells million+.

Super Star Ultra was their way for Kirby's 15th

I think you're mistaken Kirby's 20th with Mario's 25th

Probably just a Switch game teaser. They seriously can't reuse assets for the 3rd time for yet another 3DS game.

My guess is we're going to get a Kirby 64 remake.
>Kirby adventure remake in 2002 on GBA
>super star remake in 2008 on ds
>64 remake in 2017 on 3ds

Are you dumb, good sir?

In 2015 we got
>Kirby Cafe
>Kirby Museum
>Kirby Marching band
>Kirby Train
a 25th celebration isn't that crazy

But as for the games themselves, Kirby is almost entirely done by HAL and its all HAL usually does, so it gets the benefit of a dedicated developer overlapping 2 projects at a time. The games all have decent, manageable budgets and get released in time and in a quality state. Its all about the consistency and reliability

I wouldn't be surprised if its one of Nintendo's best guaranteed money makers, it won't make a fortune per installment, but it'll never flop or bleed them dry just to break even

>Challenge
>Kirby

Man I wish. Even with Kirby being my favorite Nintendo franchise I hate how piss easy they are. Why can't they into difficulty settings? Start at normal and then make like four difficulties above it. Even damage and health buffs to enemies would be enough to make it more enjoyable for me. Kirby hard mode rom hacks when?

>What is the true arena

I don't know what point you're trying to prove but you should try reading a little harder next time.

Yeah. But they didn't really advertise it like they did with the 20th and now 25th.

Who was the first company to celebrate a game series anniversary...I'm thinking capcom with megaman or namco...

Metroid is dead. Let it rest.

God, I hope something even incrementally better is planned for the 25th. KSSU is already a fucking gem, so imagine if they poured their hearts into something even better than that AND managed to make it amazing.

"I think you're mistaken Kirby's 20th with Mario's 25th"
He replied with proof that Kirby did the exact same thing as Mario's 25th.

Now make everything else like that. The most fun I ever had in Kirby was doing Super Star boss rush mode arena mode entirely with Suplex. It's more fun than even powerless Kirby.

Rushing down and grabbing projectiles then throwing them at the proper angles is fun as fuck.

Sells like shit, but it's Sakurai's baby, so Nintendo obviously wants to appease the guy in charge of Smash, one of their three franchises that still pulls in loadsa money.

That was a typo, I meant "you've" as in they have mistaken Mario's shitty 25th collection with Kirby's amazing 20th collection

Mario's 25th collection was notoriously shitty, Kirby's 20th wasn't, or so its being argued here

>Cappy Broadcasting station

Kirby Anime Season 2 incoming?

>Sakurai
>relevant to Kirby in current year

>Super fucking Mario
>The Mascot, the face, the big cheese of fucking Nintendo
>Rerelease of a SNES game
>Doesn't even have Super Mario World on it

Its like Nintendo purposely has meetings on how to make the most retarded decisions.

They actually had sort of a Metal GearVR Missions esque game running off the RtD engine attached which was pretty damn cool.

Japan is obsessed with Kirby. Like sending death threats obsessed.

>Sells like shit
In what universe?

gotta get those virtual console sales man

at least mario maker made up for it

>Metroid is not popular in Japan at all

Metroid is not popular at all

That's wrong,Mario ,Pokemon ,the Wii series, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Smash Bros ,and Anima Crossing have sold more.

Kirby is at 8th place.

>being this underage

Kirby's probably the most universally appreciated of their franchises, yes?

Then that's only logical.

...

>Kirby's probably the most universally appreciated of their franchises, yes?
what, how are Mario or Zelda not their most appreciated franchises?

NOOOOO
I DON-
I DON'T HAVE ANY WISHES!

Wii and Smash aren't mascot games, and AC only became one with the newest title.

>Super Mario Bros. 25th Anniversary in 2010
>The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary in 2011
>Kirby 20th Anniversary in 2012
>Year of Luigi in 2013-2014
>Super Mario Bros. 30th Anniversary in 2015
>Pokémon 20th Anniversary in 2016

I forget sometimes that I own these.

They did celebrate the 10th and 15th anniversaries of Pokemon, just nowhere to the extent of the 20th.

Besides the icons, obviously! One of the most, I said.

On the topic of Kirby anniversaries
youtube.com/watch?v=k2vuYpaFkRo
>it took until Robobot reusing the Drum Dash remix for most people to notice this track
Its been one of my favorite Kirby tracks since Dream Collection

>input lag
>Wii Mode

That's entirely understandable, user.

Wasn't the excuse for that was because they didn't considered it part of the Mario bros. series while World was part of Yoshi's Island or some shit?

It's okay, user, you'll have all the time in the world to think up a wish after we destroy Popstar!

Well, I did play them once or twice, and I managed to get pretty far in SMB2 (TLL) without much trouble compared to on the original hardware. No idea how.

Super Mario World is literally prefixed with "Super Mario Bros. 4" in Japan. Yoshi's Island, on the other hand, doesn't have the World branding in Japan. It's just called Super Mario: Yoshi's Island there, so it might as well not even be a Super Mario Bros. game.

Kirby's 20th anniversary collection is infinitely better than Super Mario All Stars Wii, which is literally just a SNES Rom on a disc. Sure, it's "basically" just 6 VC roms on a disc, but it also includes a gallery, challenge stages made for RtDL, and came with a soundtrack CD and a little artbook.

All Stars was so shitty that it didn't even have the better version of Super Mario All Stars with Super Mario World also on it, and they had the nerve to charge $50 for a SNES rom on a fucking disc. Kirby's 20th anniversary game at least only charged $40.

Did you get your Marx plush, Sup Forums?

Where's Adeleine

TLL is actually pretty fair in that arena. Not as forgiving as SMB3 or SMW, but more than SMB1.

It's just the ill-designed gimmicks and the troll areas that ruin that game.

>HAL have been blacklisted into doing Kirby until the end of time by insane japnese fans

At least intelligent systems sometimes does different shit like STEAM

could be fun. Just make the actual characters more important, it's all that they need to do.

>blacklisted
they do it by choice I'm pretty sure, Nintendo could easily outsource Kirby if HAL wasn't so happy doing it

Also boxboy was some really good shit

>6 games from the franchise
>New bonus levels built upon RTDL
>An entire history with details on every year, even the ones without Kirby games
>Even has 3 episodes from the anime hidden within (But it's 4Kids so SURELY YOU JESTIN')
Why was HAL so based?

That neat artbook too.

That was all this year you dumbass.

>boxboy
I'm buying the amiibo, I don't care if it has 0 functionality

And a soundtrack with 50 songs across the entire series. It was a pretty great package.

Yea that's what I said-
>2015
woops

Oh yes. Looking forward to this, hopefully if it's a game it lives up to how good Robobot was.

Neat.

RTDL + Triple Deluxe + Robobot HD Collection for the Switch

Man I have like 10 of these

HAL makes good stuff outside of Kirby. Was nice to see Qbby's cameo in Robobot too.

DKC didn't even get an anniversary. No disrespect to Kirby. Hopefully this one won't be another compilation.

I would think its a bit early for that but I'd buy it in a heartbeat if it happened, the 3DS' resolution is a fucking joke

Meant for

She's busy appreciating art

I'm hyped as fuck, I just hope that it matches up to Robobot or the other special Kirby events.
A good thing to see before going to bed.

Do not

Do not what?

The first full 3d kirby game on the nintendo switch?

...

>2 disks
>97 tracks
>bonus illustrations
>December 15
Who else is ready for the Planet Robobot OST release?
