i played the first 2 missions. when does it get fun?

I'm just crap at those games. I always like the first easier missions in the beginning without all the characters. When those games hit full throttle I'm just getting frustrated. I own all the Commandos/Desperados games but I never beat a single one and even if I like the weeb setting I'm not sure If I want to shell out full price for a game that I will drop after mission 3.

I finished it in 26 hours on hardcore, but I'm planning on going through it again to get all the badges. There's 13 missions.

13 Missions, 25-30 hours for a single play through, I'd say most missions are worth playing through at least a second time, probably a lot more if you enjoy the genre (i've played through Commandos 2/Desperados dozens of times) and if you want to go for all the badges/achievements god knows.

Unlike Commandos 2 etc Shadow Tactics never really overwhelms you with a fuck ton of characters or micromanagement, it's one of the things I think it does extremely well by comparison with older titles.

So I'm trying to do non-lethal run on the tutorial map. Any idea how to get past this last bit? Sentry on the wall can't be hidden or moved from his spot and he'll just wake up when I leave him alone after knocking him out.

I cheese the fuck out of stone throw to do this segment, cant remember exactly how, doesnt that sentry turn away at some point? I had hayato down the bottom in the bushes so he could throw stones to distract both sides

Not really, the sentry with the cone of vision stayed in place the whole duration, unless there's a trigger that I missed. Can't drag the barrel while he's up. I'll do some testing and see if I can just toss the barrel past the two guards while the sentry is down.

you dont need to take the barrel up the stairs, you can toss the barrel up on the side where the vine ladder is
