What are the best games about imperial Japan?

What are the best games about imperial Japan?

None. And it sucks. Way of the Samurai if you don't want to take the time period seriously in the slightest.

sengoku musou
sengoku basara

Fall of the Samurai

This. Shogun 2 is pretty much the best game set on that period and earlier.

That's not saying much at all.

DAMN LILY LIVERED COWARDS

Do you specifically mean the Meiji period?

Shadow tactics: blades of the shogun

Just came out and already game of the year

Shit game.

Shadow Tactics.

I was always curious but do the women wear panties/bras under the kimono?

shogun 2 tw
that's it

Shadow tactics.

Thinly veiled Gaki thread?

Me in the center

i like how the basically says "i didnt like the genre, but i would recommed it to everyone who likes stealth games" but in the end it still says "Not Recommended"

>clumsy, polite, cute teen girl stereotype

She's so adorable.

They dont

YAMAZAKI OUT

some random bitch from "teens react" youtube channel

My dude.

Total War: Shogun 2
Most musou games
Way of the Samurai series
Kuon
Perhaps Onimusha if folklore/fantasy counts

>thinly veiled

wtf are they boiling? Is that tofu

I wanna see the aftermath of his face

what's the point?
being dumb for the sake of being dumb?

imperial? you mean heian? zero as far as I know
after heian emperors never ruled until meiji, so something set in ww2 maybe
then USA came and emperors do not rule again

wake up little knife
oooh sharp

Fucking love onimusha senpai

Yes

Yeah? It's called having fun based retard bro. There's tons of shows like this all over the world.

>hurting yourself for views is fun

None of those are imperial though.

The only imperial I know is the SMT Devil Summoner series.

What was the goal of this? just to burn the dudes face?

>I've never heard of Jackass

THIS REVIEW SYSTEM NEEDS TO FUCKING DIE

Wait, is this a new/recent one? Matsu is blonde here.

Yeah, they brought Silent Library back for a one-off.

>implying jackass was fun

>for views
Do you even know who you're talking about? These guys could just sit down and watch paint dry and would get top views.

Don't you visit imperial japan in shadow hearts covenant? it's been a while since i played it si i'm not sure.

Do you know if there has been any talk or rumors about Downtown retiring soon? Or them quitting the yearly batsu games?

>I must have the last word: the post

It was insanely popular in the early 2000's, just because YOU didn't like it, doesn't mean no one else did.

>Do you even know who you're talking about?
some jap retards doing dumb shit to entertain simpletons like you?

Why didnt he just play the fucking demo first?
I mean, the devs are handing out a free sample. WTF is wrong with people buying a game based on expectations alone, without every learning anything about it?
I mean how stupid does a person has to be?

Downtown aren't going to retire for at least another decade, they'd be stupid to with the kind of money they make.

The batsu games have been getting more and more lax in terms of punishment over the past decade too, and given it's only a yearly thing these days, I think they've got another 3 years in them, minimum, until it potentially becomes too much of a hassle to do a full day worth of filming.

Yes its the newest one

Shogun 2 fall of the samurai

>people unironically watch this shit

why?

There have been rumors for the last decade
:^)

Do not even dare to insult Gaki. Yes, Silent Library is kinda boring. But all their other stuff is great

Because its fun

Ok, I just started playing Shogun 2 and I feel like something is missing. Do I need the DLCs to actually enjoy this game?

Call of duty:world at war, it has a level that lets you burn the nips out of trees using a flamethrower.

Give me one nice fucking RTS about Japan

Imperial Japan? You're aware Japan has had an emperor for the last few thousand years and still does? Kind of a broad definition.

>implying the emperor has any power in these days

Baka

koihime mosou

Imperial Japan refers to post meiji restoration up to american subjugation post ww2.

>But all their other stuff is great
I love dumbshit comments from people who have probably seen absolutely tasty and the yearly batsu games and think it's representative of everything they do.

You do realize Gaki is on every week, right? All you see is a drop in the ocean of content deemed decent/simple enough to sub. There's plenty of trash on Gaki, some of the recent segments like "let's wander around Tokyo looking for celebs" are total garbage.

Not really, i'd recommend the blood pack for some extra immersion in battles if that's your thing.

Shogun 2 takes a little while to get going, by mid game you will be thoroughly hooked, also don't get realm divide too early or you is fucked.

all you need is to not be a faggot

>blood pack
jesus, you actually bought a normal game option for $2?

Japanese emperors have rarely held any power. Actually slicing their head of brings bad luck so a few of them were literally starved to death. Emperor was more of a ceremonial role while the country was governed by shoguns.

Low effort entertainment for plebs and sadists.
Just like Jackass

I'm reserving their yearly batsu games for later user, but i have watched A LOT of their other stuff. Basically my last post meant that not Gaki isn't just about slapstick humor, they have a good amount of content that anyone can like (humor or entertainment).

yamazaki

thai kick

Yakuza Ishin is set during the Meiji period and is all about the Shinsengumi. It's fucking great

Believe it or not Mount & Blade Warband with the gekokujo mod is pretty nice.

Some games I reccomend OP:
>way of the samurai 1,2,3,4 (you can emulate 1&2 and 3&4 are on steam)
>mount & blade warband/gekokujo
>shinobido (for those times you want to be a ninja)
>tenchu (see above)
>yakuza edo spinoffs (never tried them because I don't speak Japanese)
>samurai warriors (if you like musou games...)
>Hissatsu ura-Kagyou (a near impossible ISO to find but you are a samurai doctor by day and an assassin by night)

>but i have watched A LOT of their other stuff
Have you watched anything that wasn't translated? Then you haven't seen even 1% of it.

Not if it wasn't translated. Look user, i'm not even trying to fight with you. And again, all i meant was that not all their comedy is about slapstick humor.

Hayabusa campaign mods, or the Sekigahara Campaign mod. Both options offer better campaigns than the original, but keep the same feel (unlike the DLC).

Samurai Warriors 2

Japan is the most retarded nonsensical backassward country to ever exist, japanese people are ants, free will does not exist there and their society is the epitome of evolution gone wrong.
Not that it matters anyway since they're dying on all plans, culturally, economically dead.

This comment is too intelligent for Sup Forums please delete.

t.westerncuck thinking he is not shlomo's N1 slave

Shut the fuck up fucking EOP.

I am telling you that you are unqualified to speak on this subject.

Great post Zhang Wei.

What are games that take place in Showa period rural/suburb Japan?

Shenmue?
