I loved the gambit system but it felt wasted on such a barren combat system.

The characters (most of them anyway) , story and gameplay. But hunts were cool.

Which is a shame because I like Ivalice and other Ivalice games and the director of this kind of got shafted by square's higher ups who killed thus game.

Best character to come out of this franchise.

I disagree with most of that. I thought the dungeons and music were really memorable. I did have aproblem with the battle system though. I just didnt feel engaged.

I thought it was okay.

It's just downright messy, very few of the songs were memorable and their choices made no sense. You can't put fast paced battle music as the background theme in peaceful looking zones, that shit doesn't work.

Overall it's not a very good soundtrack, it's nowhere near any in the PS2 and PS1 era.

Not my favorite FF, but I still forked hundreds of hours into it when it had come out. The monster hunting and optional bosses/espers were fun.

I play Final Fantasy for an engrossing world and a story that if not coherent intrigues me.

FFXII is a neat world the lacks depth out of the city, and a shit story.

I really did not like the license system

If everyone and their mother could wield the blade, it'd just be a fancy scrap of iron.

my only problem was the abrupt ending. I thought you would at least get to explore some of the Rozarria Empire.

Wonder when will we get to enjoy a full Ivalice together with floating islands and Jylland.

Biggest flaw for me was the story and characters. Not individual characters, individually they're all great aside from Vaan. But they never felt like a true team. No chemistry beyond Balthier and Fran or Vaan and Penelo. People also praise the political plot but I think it was done pretty poorly compared to FFT and TO.
