Does FFXV have any legitimately challenging enemies?
Seems like everything is easy as sh*t even for underleveled characters so long as they packed enough potions.
Which enemies/bosses are the toughest?

Courels I guess? The game is piss easy and seems to just enjoy throwing bullet sponges at you instead of interesting enemy mechanics.
these niggas and the 3 gigantes iron giant elite hunts. these guys were tough
Had my first run in with them today.
Not only do they one shot you out the ass, they can also just fuck off and regen all their health.
all of you guys are scrublords. this game never becomes hard until you beat it
get back to me when you've gotten sword of the tall and we'll talk. and then I can tell you all about the 8 menaces under Lucis which are all harder than Ardyn. I could even tell you about the level 120 and level 110 that do 9999 damage every hit.
dark souls is ez shit compared to late game xv
>dark souls is ez shit compared to late game xv
Ironic shitposting is still shitposting
You resumed the whole game, stack pots elixirs and you can kill every thing and I mean everything the game throws at you.
Wear Safety bits when you are facing coeurls and yojimbo I guess to counter the 1HKOs and you're good to go.
Stack Healcasts for the no item lvl 99 dungeon easy as shit too.
t.120 hours cleared everything.
They are supposed to add a hard more for new game+ eventually, we'll see how that goes.
>t.120 hours cleared everything.
I am legitimately surprised it took you that long. How?
Try fighting those Tomberrys in pic related coupled with a Giant or two and we'll talk.
>he didn't wait until level 99 to get on the boat
>this game never becomes hard until you beat it
Oh, so it's the FFXIII defense of "I-I-IT GETS BETTER 10 HOURS IN!", but even worse since you have to actually complete the game first?
JESUS CHRIST.
I am level 46 and now fighting ardyn. I've used so many potions, elixers etc.
Only did 20% damage yet. Is it normal that he one shots you?? This fight Is like 100x harder than any other fight in the game or dark souls. Please tell me I am doing something wrong cause being able to hit him a few times and get out in the danger status is probably something that shouldn't happen.
user... the tomberries go down in like two warp strikes what is your malfunction
How did you not get to level 70+ before getting on the boat
Is healcast spam really the only way to clear the no-items dungeon? Doesn't seem like very good design senpai.
120hours to clear every thing, not just platinium trophy.
Found out later about the expericast, didn't use a guide :( and never messed with magic until way later unfortunatly.
Hunts are the most tedious time consuming shit ever too, also probably had some idle hours / afk car riding for AP.
Ah there you go.
I think (?) I've cleared everything and I'm sitting around 70, I couldn't imagine where another 50 comes from.
the game is fun from the moment you start playing and start slashing the shit out of everything. the game is more fun and challenging after you unlock all the harder hunts, secret dungeons, hidden menaces, etc.
the story is just that: story. i don't think it was ever meant to be challenging, I have no idea how this retard is having a hard time. But the fact that he's having a hard time means they at the very least tried to make the story mode hard for retards.
Basically it's a linear graph. The game gets more fun the more you play it until you clear it and just feel all empty inside and can't wait for the New Game plus patch.
>hunts are time consuming
no they're not. chapter 13 is time consuming. 90% of the game's hunts are "Fast travel to point B, kill everything, then fast travel back to point A"
I did alot of side quests never farmed exp like using magic with those banknotes or coins. I was like I will just get over with the story and continue the side quests
Technically you can not care about your allies and they will keep rezzing at 15%hp when you clear a room. So you can not heal really and just 'solo' it, although the room with 4 lvl 90 iron giants spamming their gravity pull fuckery will fuck you over without any means to heal.
So yeah magic spam.
I guess I racked up a lot of EXP fighting nighttime enemies while sidequesting and hunts and basically always used the 2x exp hotel + +50% exp food from wiz chocobo area.
i never farmed exp either and got on the boat at level 70 with sidequests to spare... just doing side quests and hunts you get so much exp if you've spent any amount of time doing it you should be able to eat Ardyn's ass for breakfast.
who farms in this game? i just started laughing when people started talking about the cactaur thing, i couldn't believe people were serious.
the way people play this game so differently just baffles me. if anything it's a testament to how open ended they really made it.
Did you just censor yourself? What's happening to Sup Forums? Is this an epic new meme?
>Ruining the game for yourself by overleveling
better than risking having your account banned
I never really fought night enemies until it was one of the last open world chapters
Maybe I sent too soon. I have 36/38 hours in this game.
Everyone I got to part 2 of the fight. I just started to hold x for his attacks until he did a QTE attack
I didn't spend any additional time, I just told the night to go fuck itself and did sidequests even after the sunset. Also because the nighttime enemies were the only real challenge at that point in the game. And the hotel and food are both right there in front of you as game mechanics, they're not secrets.
But I guess you're one of those fags who turns off experience share and such
>pick hunt
>walk to car
>fast travel loading
>kill hunt
>fast travel loading
Maybe ps4pro is faster but those loading times are god damn slow.
Also Fucking Lestallum where even with fast travel you have to run to the goddamn NPC in the far back of the city, oh and there's actually 2 npc giving hunts there you even more padding.
Was it so hard to let us accept the whole fucking list, really SE ?
honestly if you really just want to kick his ass, go back in time, do side quests, use the altissia royal hotel, level up like 20 times in one rest. then you will laugh that you ever thought Ardyn was hard
ps4pro here, the loading times are still atrocious. I just got used to it and did other shit during.
When were you born, user?
no dude i'm using a shitty ps4 that crashes at least once a day i got used from some crack head
did you really clear this entire game without realizing you could press r3 to instantly warp to either the car or your last rest point?
doing hunts was how i'd unwind after catching frogs and finding dogtags and shit... if you use chocobos and car/rest warping the most annoying part is the two fast travels.
also almost all the hunts are relatively close to the location so even the fast travel isn't a long ass fast travel from like galdin quay to vesperpool.
basically sounds like whatever you were doing, you were doing it wrong.
>Actually playing pokemon games with exp share on
Games exist to challenge the player, user. If the story isn't noteworthy, and it never is in pokemon games nor is it in FF15, then why are you even playing the game if not for challenge?
I already am beating him easily now :)
But honestly no idea how he kept one shotting me. it felt so wrong that I beat ilfrit with ease and he destroyed me making me use 10 elixers a lot of potions and Phoenix downs..
Anyway 1 question. What happens if I didn't choose to summon bahamut and shiva's during the ilfrit fight? It didn't seem like I was forced to do it.
if the game gives you tools, you should either use all of them or basically none of them
basically the only real way to play FFXV is to beat the game at level 1 and try to never rest whenever possible, skipping all side quests, no ascension, or to hit level 99 and do every single quest in the game.
>only a sith deals in absolutes
you were forced to, basically the fight doesn't end until you do.
>taking fag as a negative and not an endearing term
>2016
I'll cede to you on this. Do whatcha got to do.
The 2 fast travel is exatcly what I was whining about, it's shitty design. Let me grab the whole list and be done with it instead of dragging this shit out.
>Fast travel twice most hunts
>Fast travel to every outpost,
>Rank up
>Fast travel to all outpost AGAIN for new hunts
Literally unfun.
No, games exist for you to have fun. Most people don't want challenges in their games, because that involves overcoming them, which is work. Work is the opposite of a game.
It doesn't. Magic trivializes the game when you can 3 shot things 40 levels above you.
Why don't you just not use potions? Or is it still turn based? Only played the demo awhile ago and it was action based so Idk if it's different now.
You're confusing "game" with "play", retard.
The point of a game - ANY game - is to win. Traditionally against human opponents that provide a challenge. With the human opponent removed, the game itself has to provide the challenge to be overcome.
If you don't want challenge in the games you play, you are literally a manchild playing with toys.
Potions were a mistake, and why can't party members use them, that's what I thought the order system was for, a priority for the party members.
>order system
what? Do you mean techniques?
Items had two menus, "check" and "order"
I thought order was like a gambit system for items for party members but it was just the order of your items in the menu during battle.
>42 / 2 / 18 / 1
I'm doing as many hunts as I can to increase my rank. Is it really worth doing it to increase rank? Any perks or something that come out of doing this?
Seems to me the only things locked behind rank are some mid-tier hunts, while the high end ones are available regardless of rank.
Pretty stupid.
