Which company would make the best marketable console to rival Sony and Microsoft (and Nintendo if the switch isn't a flop)?
Hard mode: No Valve

Hard mode: No Valve
?
Apple. Apple has a very strong brand name that can sell on it's own.
Google.
Valve already failed at that with the steam box, you idiot. That's not a hard mode, more like a lose condition
Samsung if you mean actual games being produced and not mobage.
Sega
Vive- Wait, fuck, that's Valve.
General Motors
But at the risk of it exploding...
Pippin 2 when.
Also SNK, it's about time for a new NEO GEO and I would love to watch the tears of the console poorfags as i lord my 10,000 dollar metal slug machine over them.
Yeah, I agree. Any console marketed by Samsung would really bomb hard.
maybe after getting bailed out by the US govt again
Why would you want to have more than 2 PCsoles and one console with exclusives and nothing else?
nVidya
AMD, cause a Novideo console would burn the house down.
Apple releasing an iGame console.
SEGA
Apple once made a console and it failed hard
Look.up the Pippin
seconding
>the Apple Pippin 2 releases in 2018
>no launch titles
>non customization interface
>OUYA specs
>itunes account required
>doubles as an iphone charger
>outsells the Wii and PS2 in weeks
LG or Tencent.
The next big console player will come from Worst Korea, if consoles even survive that long.
To be fair, if it served as a dock for an iPhone and used the phone's hardware to play games on a big screen with proper controls, that would be an absolute boon for most appletards. The hardware is strong enough for at least Gamecube-level visuals, but the screen size and touch controls essentially ruin any possible decent gaming on the device.
probably this if they could get android based games
they have the money and the brand recognition, plus they have easy marketing options.
Probably not worth it for the tbqh.
I would like to see google create an OS to rival microsoft though.
>iGame console
I hope you're not thinking a of a dedicated mobile game console. If so you're a fucking caveman. Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire and a bunch of other streaming sticks/media boxes already support mobile games.
It's another reason why the Ouya failed so hard.
>Design is literally a box because muh simplicity
The irony is you can already do this, Android users have been doing this for years.
>The hardware is strong enough for at least Gamecube-level visuals
Yes but noone is going to develop an iOS exclusive with that kind of effort put in. At least not a full game.
4 big console brands would just be too much. Heck, 3 is already too much since Microsoft is just trying to be as similar to Sony as possible.
