It's been nothing but basless circle jerking so far.

It's actually quite satisfying. Even the combat feels good despite being clunky. Running around the countryside recruiting warriors and fighting alongside them in huge battles is super fun. I haven't even tried multiplayer.

The game lets you methodically conquer it both strategically, and with sheer force once you've been playing long enough. It's very rewarding.

there are two different people who play this game, those who play single player, and those who play multiplayer. ive been on the multiplayer for over 2000 hours now, there isnt a game like it, the combat is simple to get into, the skill ceiling is so high its ridiculous, you dont start getting good til over 1000 hours. the game is incredibly balanced as well, no other game does cavalry as well, and having 50 vs 50 sieges with the crowds of inf pushing against eachother trying to battle through a hallway. the chaos of fighting in this game is the best part, fighting in 1v3s and winning, having archers firing hell on you as you walk up the stairs to get away from the cav. the naked 2handers running around fienting their weapon like they are having siezures, only to die from an ally throwing javs from behind. you can play the same map hundreds of times with same factions and each time it will be different and unique in its own way. so many things to play, so many mods, the community events are great. hell, you can even rp with autists in persistant worlds. there is no matchmaking, so you end up playing on servers with regulars.

You wanna ride up and cut I guys head? You have to actually steer your horse in at the correct distance and angle and turn you character to line up our weapon. No lock on, no auto attack, no hold squarenix to block. This is how games that have 90% of the content as fighting should be.
Also as far as I know the PC controls were considered very good.
If you didn't play for at least 20 hours, then re-start a new char and play for 50 hours... then re start and play for a month strait.... you haven't really experienced the game.
